Khione looked to Ivy after she spoke, looking at them, then over to Walf, then back to Ivy, before returning her attention once more to Davis and Eiryls. "So it's agreed upon then, that seems like the best course of action." She said, seemingly choosing to ignore the chaos happening behind her.
Eirlys seems startled by Ivy's interjection into their conversation. She rubs her eyes, clearly a bit confused by the general happenings of the last few minutes. "Yes. It seems like we have the general plan sorted out for the time being. Pardon me, um... you two." She motions to Warf and Durnir. "Warf and Durnir, correct? Did you two find something?"

The ever growing document of character concepts can never be too long, can it?
Walf seemingly confused “Walf no find anything. Magpie found an ear adornment. Durnir said you and you and you investigate murder. Maybe ear adornment clue”
"Perhaps we should move elsewhere before examining it."She glances towards her investigating companions for confirmation. "But we can take a look at it. Thank you."

Adaban looks to Walf. "Strange events conspire if a bird upon the wind delivered something truly valuable to newfound friends. We would be the playthings of higher powers if the adornment truly were important to these others." He motions to the three investigators. "If made true, one would wonder which powers conspired to provide such, and at what they seek from doing so."
Now following in Eirlys' lead, Khione gently pushes past Ivy and steps closer to Walf. "Would you mind if I took a look at that for a moment, Walfaerd? I'll give it back, I promise." She said, eyeing the earing with careful precision.
(Rolled a 23 on an investigation check, but if he doesn't want to give it to her then it can just be null.)
Ivy frowns at getting pushed aside after having basically been ignored by the woman. She bows out to Walf and steps away to give room for the item of interest.
"Sorry for her rudeness." Davis says to Ivy as he moves closer to look at the necklace as well. "She gets fairly intense when in her work mode." He gives a bemused smile towards Ivy. Lowering his voice a bit, he asks the group at large, "Do any of you have a magical pet, something that can do a quick scouting flight over this area? I wonder if whomever lost that necklace might not be close by. There is a chance that bird did not travel far after finding the item after all."
Walf shakes his head No and sadly says “Walf have real bird. Walf left Ralf home”
Durnir says, under his breath "Thank the gods, that damn bird would start chirping at the crack of dawn". Realizing he said that out loud, he will cough a little to cover it up.
He looks to Khione. "So, what do you think? Did we crack your case!"

You find a maker's mark on the upper portion of the earring with the initials CN. Beyond that, there is little indication as to whom or where it may have came from. You would be able to tell by the scratch-free faces of the moonstone that it was likely either recently purchased or kept in very well condition - unlikely to have been exposed to the elements for long.
Looking closely at the initials, Khione makes a mental note to keep an eye out for anyone who might have the initials of "CN" in their name. "I wouldn't say a case has been cracked, more so one is just beginning." She said, handing the earring back to Walf. She then looked to Eirlys and Davis. "Though, the fact that there's blood on it is a bit alarming. From what I gathered, it seems to be taken care of quite well. I doubt its owner would've given up such an expensive piece of jewelry willingly."
Ivy looks to Davis and blinks. A few thoughts pass through their mind. Instead they bite their tongue and offers a polite smile before their attention would flick away to a bug nearby. Then ears twitch as others discuss the ring. "Smelled like iron and salt water." Ivy would add with a shrug before meandering over to go watch the insect.
"Well if we don't have a magical option, then I suggest we split up and search this area." Davis says with a frown. "If it has not been out in the elements long, then it is not likely going to be too far from here." He looks thoughtful for a moment. "If it smells like sea, then I suggest we start the search in that direction."
Walf smiles at Ivy before she follows the insect “Ivy did well! Ivy remember to use all senses! Magpies very smart birds…very smart, yes. Perhaps the bird will fly back to the place ear adornment found….Walf will let her go and see”

Walf confused why the other group wants to move “Why move? Good sunlight here to see ear adornment”

Walf smiles at the promise and kindness of Khione and gives them the earring
