Bombil takes a moment to rummage through his backpack and pull out a lamp. It's a simple brass slipper lamp* and he takes a moment to dust it with his sleeves. After the rudimentary polishing he reaches into a pouch at his side and pulls out a small piece of glowing moss. He closes his eyes for moment with a smile of content, whispers a quiet word as he casts Light and the lamp begins to give off a red glow. He shoulders his broom against his right shoulder while holding out the lamp with his left and enters after Thorin. As he goes he looks for any signs that might help find Victor Lowclaw.

The nobleman takes his leave and recovers his destrier from the footman. He hastens to the inn, trying not to seem like he's hastening. In a city this fraught with intrigue, being seen leaving Stoneclaw's estate might not be particularly safe.
At his suite he changes out of his finery into a linen shirt and stout wool surcoat - well-made, yet far less ostentatious. He then equips himself, donning studded leather armor with an oak tree tooled into the breast. A pair of daggers, a handaxe, and a buckler - also emblazoned with an oak - and finally, his backpack, already packed.
He checks on his horse as he leaves, tipping the stableman handsomely to make sure the stallion is well taken care of in his absence. Ready, he braces himself and heads toward the rendezvous. DM willing, he makes it without incident.
(Otherwise... Perception: 21, initiative: 25)
Nothing of note happened during his travel from Stoneclaw's estate to The Nine Horse Hitch, although as he made his way towards the rendezvous point he felt as if someone was watching him. Out of the corner of his eyes he could spot a young man wearing a traveler's cloak, he had a curious expression on his face as he watched him for a couple seconds before turning away and heading into a building that looked to be a general store.
Well finally having everyone together Thorin heads into the tunnels. "Its time to do what we are paid to do"
As the group entered the tunnels they are met with an unnatural silence and dim lighting. Although a few seconds later there was a faint sound off in the distance almost as if something had fallen or had been thrown. As the group go a little deeper into the tunnels there are several unlit torches that line the walls and two that look to have been used rather recently.

Most of the tracks on the floor of the tunnels look to be about a week old although there are two sets of fresh tracks leading deeper into the tunnels. There looks to be a trail of dry blood on the floor that looks to be going the same way that the second set of tracks were going, almost as if the owner of the tracks had been injured somehow.
Bombil quietly thanks Kaliden for the "neat trick" compliment. Taking a moment to take in the the unnatural silence, he whispers, "Anyone else got a weird feeling about this quiet? Or am I just being paranoid?" He takes a look at the blood. "So what do we think? Wounds from Victor? A drunken patron of the Horse and Hellhound? Or someone else?"

Yes Kaliden does gesture at the fresh tracks and blood for the rest of the party, and since he is looking around he may see what he can tell about these tunnels assuming they are at least to a degree considered stonework using his dwarven stonecunning history8
Tagreth beings looking around the tunnels keeping an eye for any signs. Then when Kaliden gestures at the fresh tracks and blood, he takes a closer look. Thinking for a moment before taking his bag off his back, he then takes a contraption out of it and sets it on the floor. He then gives the contraption a soft kick, which seems to activate it.
The contraption begins to unfold itself until it resembles a robotic quadruped creature.
"I would like to introduce you all to Ratchet, my steel defender." Tagreth explains to you all.

[[Near their opening the tunnels are 10 feet wide but as they get closer towards a main chamber of sorts they widen to 35 feet (the roof of the tunnels is 10 feet at the start and near the opening to the main chamber it's 20 feet.) Kaliden Two-Stone
The tunnels or at least the tunnel that the party is currently going through is one of the older tunnels in the system, that being said it is likely one of the only ones to still be maintained in case of emergency. Whoever went about the maintenance of the tunnel seems to have been inspired by the work beautiful stoneworking of Maevleen Arahore, although to compare the rather subpar work to that of the leader of Houndwood's would be a slap in the face.
. As Thorin continues down the tunnel the second set of tracks seems to disappear but the blood continues almost as if the other person with them decided to carry them for some reason. A little further down the tunnel, laying in the middle of the floor there is a severed arm and a larger pool of dry blood around it.
The half-elf isn't surprised to see Rachet. He gives a slight smile of recognition before returning his gaze to the surroundings. The nobleman hasn't introduced himself; nor has he presumed to give orders, or even advice. He almost seems like a spectator. He stays toward the front of the group, though, following the trackers. He moves with an easy grace that is deceptively casual.
"I see a severed arm. The injury could be the reason that 1 on them picked up the other. The blood has dried, but the arm is still intact and not eaten by rats or other vermin." Thorin moves over to the severed arm to check if there are any identifying features or rings.
Bombil says a quiet prayer under his breath as he sees the severed arm. "I pity the person whose arm that was." he says. "And if the blood is dry already, I'm guessing there's a body somewhere."He crouches to examine the arm for any traits like tattoos that might offer clues to who it came from.
Investigation : Unable to parse dice roll. (Sorry: didn't see Thorin's post before I posted)
{With an 18 Thorin notices that the arm has a curious looking bite mark on it's underside. It is missing it's middle finger but it looks like the finger had been missing prior to the removal of the limb. The arm looks like it was hacked off in a bit of a panic, almost as if it's owner thought that lossing the limb was the only way to get out of the situation alive. On it's ring finger there is a rather bland looking ring that could possibly be a wedding ring.}

A loud sound can be heard echoing from further in the tunnels. It seems to be going deeper, almost as if someone or something was trying to lure them towards one of the other tunnels or perhaps trying to frighten them away from their current location. Then 40 seconds later there was a strange cry that echoed from a deepest part of the tunnels.
Bombil reaches into his component pouch and pulls out a small patch fleece and makes some hand motions. Though his grinning lips are closed, it sounds as if he's speaking. "If they're going to try scaring us with a noise, then perhaps we can return the favor with some tricks of our own?"
He turns to Nicolas, noticing that the Half-Elf hasn't spoken much, "You seem like a fighting man, good sir. Would you have any advice here?" He adds, "And by the way I don't believe I've caught your name. For myself, Bombil. You?"
Thorin shares what he discovered and quickly looks up at the eerie sound. "Guards up everyone. We don't want to be bit by whatever causes a person to hack off their own arm. I don't know what creature it is, but lets proceed with caution." Thorin double checks his armor to make sure there are no gaps. "Lets keep on going"He waits or the others before proceeding down the tunnel.

The half-elf gives a half-smile to Bombil. Quietly, he says, "Well, Master Bombil, I -" He stops abruptly when Thorin mentions cutting one's own arm off. He draw his rapier and approaches the arm itself. "Are you sure?" he says incredulously, crouching to take a look for himself. He's no tracker; he believes Thorin, but this he's got to see for himself.

"That is...madness."
If he sees the ring, his first thought will be signet; he'll turn the whole arm over so he can see the other side of the ring. He's very careful not to touch the ring itself.
(Edit: Are you kidding me? I went back to recolor my dialog and it rerolled. It was a 15. I give up. This editor is wack. Fortunately, I'm not really trying to see anything new.)
{With a 15 Nicolas notices that the bite looked like that of another human or some kind of humanoid creature. When he spots the ring it initially looks like a wedding ring but upon closer inspection the ring has a unique band and a jet gemstone set into it.}
The tunnel falls quiet except for the strange cry that kept echoing from deeper in, it sounded like a medium sized creature that had been injured in some manner. It seemed as though it might be trying to call for help. As the group continue forwards there is a low murmur of voices coming from a corner of where a secondary tunnel connected to the one the group was currently in.
Well finally having everyone together Thorin heads into the tunnels. "Its time to do what we are paid to do"
