She approaches the creature as Cat's eye's glow her mind seeks out the nimblewrights, "Nim misses you! But why, why did you kill those people with a fireball? What are you doing with these graves? Who else did you kill? Why did you?" she shows, that she has her hands empty, course, with Cathern she's always armed.
Drux had at least one hand rest on the pommel of his sword in a relaxed posture as Cat made her approach, and angled himself just so to keep the device in his other hand out of sight. But with it's clicking giving itself away, all he can do is look a touch sheepish should the nimblewright turn it's attention in his direction. That, and start seriously consider praying to whatever deity would listen his desire to not be blown up by a fireball, assuming the construct managed to get hold of another necklace of death.

(no, you are too far away, unfortunately) The nimblewright does not respond. Actually, cat cannot feel the construct's mind at all. apparently, unlike Nmi, he has no free will, no "soul" or feelings- He is merely a machine. Noticing your approach, the nimbleright quickly gets up, brandishing his sword. Luckly for drux he has no necklace of fireballs, but unluckly, he does not seem like he wants to chat.
Lore glances at Kess then focuses on the strange creature, "Looks mechanical, but it's worth a try," he says to her as he launches bolts of energy at the numblewright. Kess too sights her bow at it, launching a tiny arrow in its direction before taking cover.
Lore: Attack 14; Damage 11
Kess: Attack: 12; Damage: 1 and if it hits, DC 15 CON save or poisoned (probably immune).
the nimblewright quickly dodges the bolts of energy, not taking it's eyes off the group. Kess's arrow appears to not be able to pierce the construct's metal body, simply breaking on impact
The construct then rushes towards Cat, raising it's rapier and quickly delivering two attacks with it's rapier Attack: 19 Damage: 7 Attack: 10 Damage: 7 And one with it's dagger Attack: 26 Damage: 10
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
'It has no--wait! You want to what?! In here?'Drux mentally asked as he'd start to draw forth his sword. But if she double downs on her request, he'd grimace, not looking forward to the aftermath, legal or otherwise, but opting to trust Cat's judgement as he pulled out a handaxe and threw it instead at the Nimblewright! In roughly that same moment, he'd try to get a read on how it moved to best plan out his next attack.
Action: Flinging an Handaxe at Nimblewright. (Thrown, Short-Range, Lethal)Handaxe - Attack: 15 Damage: 7 of Non-magical slashing.
Bonus Action: Insightful Fighting on Nimblewright. Insight(12 vs Nimblewright's Deception.
(OOC:I forgot to ask this, but for this campaign is any weapon allowed to be used with sneak attack? 'cause, uh.. heh.. Drux doesn't 'have anything that would normally apply)

"i have an idea but Cat you need to disengage now!" says Piers mentally as he raises his hand and shouts "isilme!". A dim light surrounds the nimblewright (action moonbeam.if it fails its save(con 14) will get 15 points of radiant damage otherwise half of it) .
Straight away whispers the words 'vitae ' healing Cat's wounds(bonus action healing word 5 points)
Cat nods and bonus action disengages away from the nimblewright towards Drux a blade of psychic energy fly's from her hand, trying to strike the nimblewright Attack: 13 Damage: 7 Then she moves next to Drux. "I hope you do Piers, this thing is dangerous!"
the nimbleright didn't manage to dodge the moonbeam, as it feels the radiant energy coursing trough it's robotic joints, slowly damaging it as you can hear the sounds of metal bending
( oh yes thanks for reminding me, and sorry for forgetting it: the nimblewright seems to have beem in a fight, as his body is full of scratch marks from blades, as well as a stray blade sticking on his shoulder. But it seems to still be able to stay on it's feet )
unfortunately, no one survived. as much as you try you cannot see any vital signs on the victims of the blast.
kess looks around, and manages to find a few tracks on the roof. she tries to follow, however once she enters an alley, the tracks start to nor make sense. there are footprints everywhere, and all the alley's windows are broken- looks like the culprit made sure that there was no way to track him down. "uhmm. . .where should i go next?"
with the detect magic spell cat manages to see a faint aura of the school of evocation, residual from the fireball spell. cat also notices that the mysterious collar has the same magical aura, on the two beads remaining.
you all hear the sound of metal and footsteps, and looking at the entrance of the alley, the City watch arrives. twenty guards arrive, followed by a sergeant and a man who wears a medallion of the Watchful Order of Magists and Protectors. he starts to look around, quietly conducing an investigation, while the sergeant and the twenty soldiers starts to question people. you can hear the sergeant speaking with his soldiers:
"do not let any one leave, we need to question everyone."
with that, the soldiers nod, scattering to knock on doors and question anyone on the alley
you all walk towards the bent nail, managing to flee the guards without them noticing. when you arrive there, you see a half-elf carpenter carving a wooden chair. he seems focused on his work, but at the same time he looks at the other side of the road, with a suspicious look. you remember that fala mentioned him, Talisolvanar, or "Tally", for short. Piers also manages to see small drops of blood on the street, heading towards a upper-class residential neighborhood.

(Are we still within a mile of Nim?)
