Dawn says to the Governor "We were glad to help. This is a travesty and I at least offer myself as a scout to follow the raiders tomorrow, after a hopefully good night's rest. As for a reward, time will sort that out or not as the gods see fit.
"Your assistance in tracking the raiders would be greatly appreciated. We very much want to know who these people were that attacked our town and why we were targeted in the first place. But for now, you should all find a place to sleep. It's been a long night and you were quite busy. The keep is rather full right now, but I'm sure we can find somewhere for you to rest, it's the least we can do."
The governor nods to Dawn and has one of the guards show the party to some empty beds in the barracks, then lead Pops somewhere more comfortable if desired.
Pops startles awake as the hands of the guards try to shake him, "THATS THE LAST STRAW VINNY. TAKE YOUR BUTT TO THE HEADMASTER'S OFFICE!"He screams at the top of his lungs and immediately apologizes.
(I assume the guards escort him to a bed while he is confused and asking questions, not quite sure of what's going on.)
The next morning, you're taken to meet the governor again. "Friends, I want to thank you once again for everything you did to help us last night. I have a small reward here I was able to put together to express our gratitude." He nods to a nearby guard, he steps up to the group and gives a sack of gold to each person. "As it happens though, I'd like to ask for further assistance if you're willing. Dawn," he nods at the the Tabaxi, "already volunteered this morning to help track down the raiders. I would like you to track them to their camp and scout out some information to bring back to us. Namely, the location of the camp, how many raiders there are, who the leaders are, the motivation behind the attack, and where they plan to strike next. If you can learn this information for us, I'll pay you another 200 gold apiece. Also, any valuables you could recover for us would be greatly appreciated, but secondary to the information."
Pops stands up slowly. As he fully gets to his feet everyone hears his joints settle and pop into place. "That's fine by me." He takes off is glasses, now currently attached to a handwoven lanyard that loops around his neck. "I'll go wherever our Heavy's want to. In the meantime, I have much research to update."Pops cleans his glasses using the worn royal blue robe he always wears. By the lines in is dark brown skin and the striking contrast of his snow white kinky hair, you can tell he has devoted his life to scholarship.
Once the meeting is over, Pops will grab his cane and head up to his quarters and do his morning rituals. He creates a circle of ash on the floor and lines the outside with unlit candles. He sits in the middle of his circle with his spell book open as a reference and for an hour he casts Find Familiar. After a time, the candles light at once and he is visited by Dolomite Jones. He gives the spectral owl a few loving scratches before dismissing it into a dimensional pocket. He takes his old and leathery hand and reaches into the weave around him. Using his will, he forces the natural arcane energies around him to strengthen his defenses casting Mage Armor.
Afterward he will rest for a short while, writing the events and findings of his previous day. He still cant believe he witnessed a Blue Dragon this far away from it's home climate. This question was only the beginning for the Draconologist. Pop's arcane energy recovers as he writes down his thoughts. He will continue to be in his room until someone comes and gets him.
As Deeken left the party, dawn is going to get rid if most of the sling bullet. I have 60, I'll keep 10. I'm also dropping 2 daggers, leaving me with 4 spares.
I give Rockcrusher my crowbar, if he is willing to pack it.
Rockcrusher takes the crowbar from Dawn. “Is there anything that seemed to initiate the attack, any troubles lately leading up to this? Something so sudden and violent seems truely bizzare, especially on this scale”

(It'd be later today after a good day's rest, since it's just before dawn now :P)

"A guard's barracks should suit us fine, except for Pops there. He should have a real bed, as he is dead on his feet." Dawn replies.

(Any questions? Wanna do anything else before you leave to track em? You guys heading out now?)
Is there i store here, where I can get a climbers kit? Now that we have some gold.
"We can provide any supplies you need for the trip, within reason. We should have some climbing gear to send with you. Anything else you need?"
"Thank you, do you have any more Healing potions?"
"Unfortunately no, the ones given to Maythus were the last we can spare. We have a lot of our own wounded we need to deal with."
"No problem."
Dawn is ready to set out as soon as the climbers kit arrives.

The governor shakes his head. "No, there was no warning until the dragon appeared in the skies and raiders flooded into the city."
