Thelan watches the Dryad disappear and looks at the tree with a sideways glance. “It does seem unlikely that a Druid would be in league with a dragon, but I hope they can give us some information we can use to slip past it.”He thinks back on the fey spirits warning. “But you are right, we should be careful, not all is as it seems.”
“The way we treat the forest is the way we will be treated”Thelan considers the Dryad’s words “Maybe you shouldn’t eat anymore flowers, Krugh. Just in case.” Thelan turns and moves out in the direction of the cottage, scouting just ahead of the party to provide early warning.
Sinak smiles as he sees the pack unfurl, steps forward to examine the weapons. He takes a dagger and 10 of the stones if they are left and looks for a sling. Afterwards he nods to head on to the Druid’s cottage.

Sinak is amazed by the appearance of the dryad. He stops for a moment to examine the tree after it resumed its treeish form. “Tread lightly and cautiously” he says to everyone, “for I feel that we are on grounds that are sacred to Marla Moonglove. It is fascinating.”

Neela gladly hands over 10 stones to Sinak, then dumps 10 more into Krugh's pack. At the appearance of the Dryad, she is staring open-mouthed in amazement and positively itching with questions, but the Dryad leaves as quickly as it appears. She also looks around, curious at the many eyes of Marla that are apparently watching them right now. Since it doesn't appear any of her companions are trying a stealthy approach to the cottage, she decides to call out. Not loudly, but in a regular speaking tone, thinking that if these are close, then their ears may be also, and not wanting to disturb the relative peace of this grove.
"Hello? We come in peace. I hope we have treated your forest with the respect it deserves. My companions and I are trying to return Ravenglade Keep to the elves, and were looking to get some more information from someone who knows much of what happens within these trees."
Yasmina & Sinak - Along the way you see peculiarly shaped trees that seem to move in the periphery of your vision, but appear as nothing more than normal trees when viewed directly. You don't see any obvious threats.
All - After about ten minutes of travel you come to a clearing in the woods. A simple cottage squats there amid a profusion of vegetation. You hear before you see someone behind the cottage, drawing water from an old well. When Neela calls out the half-elf turns and looks in your direction. She has dark auburn hair loosely braided and adorned with wooden beads, and flowers, and she wears a simple green linen dress, "Hello there, you must be the visitors I was told to expect." She smiles and listens to Neela attentively until she is done speaking. She gives a slight chuckle and says, "Well, I'd say there's much more that happens here that I do not know, but I will offer what help that I can. What information do you seek?"
"Greetings, you must be Marla Moonglove then."Yasmina says with a slow courteous bow. "I am Yasmina. We would be most grateful for any knowledge you have of Ravenglade Keep and the dragon that has made it it's home." She says with a warm smile. "Our mission is to rescue two elven children still in the keep and bring them to their mother."
Krugh - Marla smiles and says, "Of course, I appreciate the attempts at courtesy though there's a reason they say 'nature calls' when we must relieve ourselves. In fact I know the perfect place." She gestures to a large, unruly rose bush nearby, "It has resisted all attempts at pruning, magical or otherwise."
Yasmina - Marla finishes drawing water as you speak and turns to you with a full bucket, when you reveal you’re here to return to Ravenglade Keep and rescue the Pianthis children, her eyes light up, “That is splendid news indeed! The dark magic of the dragon has already begun to pervade the forest. I fear that your quest to rescue the children will be in vain though, I cannot see a way that they would have survived.” Marla lowers her head for a moment with eyes downcast but then begins to talk again, “If you truly are headed for Ravenglade Keep, could you perhaps do me a favor? The library there contains an ancient grimoire, one which I would like to acquire. The tome would allow me to commune with the fey spirits of the woods. I think they could help undo what the black wyrm has wrought."
Sinak shrugs, heads to the rose bush and an odd thin smile comes on his face as he relieves himself. As he shakes off the dew he walks back over and says to Marla, “The library? Sure, we can do that. That is where we are headed.”

Yasmina - Marla seems genuine thus far and says, "The book is bound in white leather and embossed with the moon in each of her cycles. It will likely be kept apart from the rest, possibly behind lock and key." Her countenance takes on a hardened look as she says, "Those damned lycanthropes feared the fey magics within, as well they should." She sees your expressions and adds, "I support your quest to save children; they cannot be blamed for the sins of their elders. But to embrace the taint of lycanthropy as though it were a gift is to spit in the face of the natural order of things."
"Oh, I see, for some reason the elves left out the part about them being lycanthropes. Could you please expand on that."Yasmina continues with a polite smile.

"Yeah, I don't recall any mention of lycanthropy. Anyway, I'm really curious about what you know of this dragon. Does it have a name? Probably some super long one with a string of consonants and a few apostrophes for good measure. I've been thinking of getting a better dragon name myself. I'm Neela, by the way. Which is too short a name. When did the dragon get here? Do you know where it came from? What is it doing to the forest?"
Neela is jabbering again but there's a method to her pratter; an attempt to disarm Marla and allow herself and her companions to look for any involuntary reactions in regards to the dragon. Does the druid know more of it than she is letting on?

Yasmina - Marla cocks an eyebrow and places the bucket of water on the ground, then plants her hands on her hips, "For some reason? Lycanthropy is a plague, a disease-" She waves her hand dismissively and shakes her head, "I'm sorry, that's not the point." She sighs and says, "Where do I begin? There was settlement in these woods that the lycanthropes made their home; Vehlarr. The abominations would attack nearby settlements, killing and adding more numbers to their ranks. They grew so bold as to attack Baldur's Gate and the repercussions were swift. The Grand Duke himself led a force of Flaming Fists into the wood with silvered weapons and razed Vehlarr. Those few that weren't killed retreated deeper into the forest, settling in the ruins of an ancient elven keep named Ravenglade." Marla picks up her bucket again and says, "They have offered their 'gift' many times and I have always politely refused, playing the role of eccentric but harmless hermit. But truly I wish to cleanse the forest of their taint. If I had the grimoire I could cure the lycanthropy and work with the fey spirits of the woods to repair the damage done by the dragon."
Neela - The druid smiles at your exuberance and says, "Your friends are like stones in a stream little one, but you are like a fawn splashing in it. I do not know where the dragon came from or why, but listening to wind, leaf, and paw I have heard the beast called something that roughly translates to Duskbringer."

Is it okay to "water" the plants, or is there a special place or prayer or permsission?
Krugh says while giving awkward signals and gestures as to the origin of the "water"
