Once again, it takes everything Neela has not to scream out in surprise, fear and just a little bit of joy at an epic story in the making. With the werewolf playing it cool and not outing her identity to Valarken immediately makes her wonder if Fivin even recognises her. Surely he would, or has the wolf truly taken over, or do all kobolds look the same to them?
Insight to see if Fivin recognises her: 21
"I didn't. You can call me Marla. Ok I'm going to go get that black paint now. Have to make myself presentable and all that."
And she turns and runs down the stairs as fast as her little kobold legs will carry her. If she sees the others, she desperately motions them back towards the barracks, mouthing the word RUN.
Neela - The shaggy werewolf's eyes narrow and a low growl begins rumbling in his throat, "Marla?" He takes a step forward and the hackles on his neck rise, "That seems to be a popular name among these woods..." Fivin steps closer and you see his clawed hands twitch, "There's also a druid by the name of Marla that lives northwest of here." Fivin towers over you with teeth bared and golden eyes blazing, "Ironic, don't you think..." It seems as if time slows and all other sounds are muted as Fivin takes a long inhalation, expanding his large hairy chest. You see his eyes widen and his lips pull back from his sharp teeth as your perception of time suddenly returns to normal and Fivin snarls, "Neeeeelaaa!?"
Valarken begins to interject, "What are you-" but he is cut off by a sound outside the window. You hear what sounds like the screech of a very large eagle, and something passes by the window outside. Fivin turns and lopes over to the window as Valarken bobs in the middle of the room, "What is it Fivin? We don't have time-" Fivin snarls again as he turns back to face the room, "We're under attack! She led them here! Kill her!" He howls and charges toward you!
Krugh, Sinak, & Thelan - Thelan pulls open the door and sees no immediate threats. The children are peeking outside the door to the barracks, eyes wide but quiet. As Thelan turns to give the all clear, something stops him in his tracks, and he feels the icy grasp of fear grip his heart. Above the din of falling water, the sound of flapping wings can be heard and Thelan sees a large dark shape wheel across the sky. It banks and dives straight for the keep with a screech! Silhouetted by the full moon and making a nosedive for Ravenglade Keep is a giant eagle! Thelan sees a figure riding atop it with one arm raised, spear in hand. The figure's other arm is nowhere to be seen as the eagle pulls up at the last second with a mighty flapping of its tremendous wings. Thelan is buffeted by wind, sand, and small rocks as the giant eagle lands in front of him. Lia swings a leg over and hops down, spear still in her only hand. She walks up to Thelan and tosses her head to clear her hair from her face, "Where are my children?" He sees more giant eagles with riders filling the sky and the lithe forms of elves stepping silently out of the treeline and running full speed up the slippery slope toward Ravenglade Keep. Before Thelan can answer, another sound eclipses all else, the unmistakable roar of a dragon. A massive black shape bursts forth from the waterfall and slams into the natural stone bridge, shattering it and knocking roughly half the elves into the rocky water below. Duskbringer flaps its wings and snaps its jaws around the body of a giant eagle, severing it half. The dragon roars again and wheels around as it draws a huge breath and spews a gout of thick acid across the remaining elves. Most manage to get clear but a few scream as they are maimed, and their kin are dissolved around them. Duskbringer lands on the roof of Ravenglade Keep and roars. You all hear cheers and cries of adulation as what seems like scores of kobolds begin pouring out of doors in the foyer, eager to serve their master.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Thelan turns from the destruction outside to face the immediate threat as Kobolds seem to come out of the woodwork. “The children are in there. Safe, for now” Thelan points out the barracks to Lia and raises his bow to attack the Kobolds.
Attack against Kobold A: Attack: 23 Damage: 10 plus 1 psychic damage
Attack against Kobold B: Attack: 15 Damage: 11 plus 3 psychic damage.
Sinak steps to the door of the previous hiding place, says to the children in a very awkward voice, “Faen, Syllin, come to Uncle Sinak, come on now little ones, I’m going to guide you to safety and your mother Lia, come with me, now shush shush.” He gather them and starts to walk toward the front door, as he does so he thinks of the Raven Queen and casts spirit guardians, which take the shapes of fey spirits of ravens flying and foxes running circles around them at a 15 foot perimeter. Any enemy who would try to approach, try to enter must take 3d8 radiant damage from the guarding spirits, or make a DC 14 wisdom save to take half damage.
Neela runs as fast as her little kobold legs will carry her down the stairs to see all hell has broken loose. "Fivin is a werewolf and he's working with the dragon and the Will-o'-wisp is Valarken the ex-Grand Duke of Baldur's Gate and they plan to destroy the city and THEY'RE RIGHT BEHIND ME." The words tumble out in a rush, some of the desperation behind them forming into a glowing ball of light that Neela directs to Thelan.
(Action - Dash. Bonus Action - Bardic Inpiration 1d6. I'm not sure the scale on the map so if Thelan is not within 60ft of Neela then she inspires Sinak instead assuming the inspiration she gave him earlier has expired)
Sinak - The children are hesitant at first, but when you mention their mother they hurry over to you. They both stare wide-eyed at the spirit guardians as you usher them through the door. Syllin cries out, "Mommy!" and rushes to her mother with Faen right behind her. Lia gasps and begins weeping as she embraces and kisses them, "Thank the Moonweaver!" She hugs them tightly and then hurries them over to one of the giant eagles, "Come children, Uncle Faloniir will take you for a ride. I will be right behind you." The children reluctantly climb atop the eagle as their mother and uncle strap them in. Syllin gasps and says, "Mommy, we heard daddy! He's alive! He's in a secret room!" Lia stops and leans back, eyeing Syllin with a worried look, "What? Honey... Daddy's... Daddy's not here, remember?" Syllin replies, "But we heard him mommy!" Faloniir cuts in, "Lia, we have to go!" Lia finishes strapping her children to the eagle and gives them a final kiss goodbye before the large bird dips and rockets into the sky with a flap of its wings. She watches them go for a moment then turns back to you, "Thank you. I can never repay you for this." She maintains eye contact for a few moments and turns to the remaining elves, "For the Moonweaver!" She shouts and raises her spear, eliciting cheers before charging into the keep.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
The Kobold Dragonshield will dash and charge across the foyer toward Krugh and Thelan with shield and spear raised!
Neela - You make it to the bottom of the stairs, but you can hear the furious howling and scrambling sounds as Fivin follows close behind!
Krugh - You meet the kobold dragonshield in the middle of the foyer. It tries to block your greataxe but the force of the blow knocks its shield away, allowing it to gouge deeply into the kobold's armor. In a blink you suddenly appear in front of the kobold inventor with your greataxe raised high. The kobold screams and tries to pull something out of its pack but its scream is cut short by the falling of your axe.
Kobold Inventor is DEAD.
More kobolds pour into the foyer from doors leading to the upper levels of the keep as more elves pour through the entry way to meet them. All around you is screaming, swinging weaponry, and blood. The dragon roars and fires gouts of acid, shaking the entire keep with its fury. Valarken floats down the stairs after Neela and Fivin, shouting orders that no one heeds. Suddenly a hairy form bursts through the door to the barracks and howls. Lucan surveys the battlefield with his dead eyes and locks onto Fivin. He howls again and launches forward on all fours, claws raking against the stone floor and tearing up little tiles from the mosaic as he goes.
Sinak - Lia appears confused, and rightfully so, but seems to accept your explanation. Her eyes widen when Lucan bursts from the barracks and she cries out, "Lucan!?" but her cry is lost among the sounds of battle. Her grief is short lived as a pair of kobolds begin jabbing spears at her and she focuses on fending them off.
ROUND 2
Thelan
Sinak
Kobold Dragonshields A, B, and C
Valarken
Neela
Krugh
Lucan
Fivin
I have added a few extra tokens to the map to represent kobolds and elves fighting in the foyer, you don't have to worry about them. Tokens A, B, and C are the kobold dragonshields, you DO have to worry about them. Token A is the dragonshield from earlier in combat that took damage from Krugh. Token L is Lucan and token F is Fivin. Valarken's token is not on the map yet as he is still upstairs. Lia's token is one of the non-lettered gray tokens.
Thelan is up! Followed by Sinak, then the kobold dragonshields.
Thelan turns towards the stairs as Neela comes rushing down. His relief at seeing her is quickly replaced by confusion as her words reach him. Fivin a werewolf working with the Dragon? A dead Grand Duke? He has little time to think as Elves and Kobolds fill the foyer with battle and an undead Lucan rushes out of the barracks. Trusting Krugh to keep the Kobolds occupied, Thelan focuses on slowing down the beast chasing Neela, whoever or whatever it is. He pulls back his bow, and with a whisper in elvish, enchants his arrow and sends it towards the werewolf.
Attack: 29 Damage: 7.
(On a hit, Fivin has to make a STR 13 save or be restrained and take 1d6 piercing damage at start of his turn)
Thelan - Your arrow strikes true, hitting Fivin in his shoulder and throwing off his stride. He stumbles a bit and as he tries to regain his footing a profusion of thorny vines erupt from beneath the tiles at his feet. The vines ensnare him completely, piercing his flesh as he struggles against them.
Sinak is up! Followed by the dragonshields, then Valarken.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Sinak moves northeast 30 feet and any kobold enemies within 15 feet of that are hit by the flying and circling [Tooltip Not Found], to take 15 radiant damage, DC 14 wisdom save to take 1/2 damage.
For his attack, Sinak shoots two fire bolts at Fivin. “You traitor! Traitor to your family, traitor to your clan!”

Dragonshields B and C both follow suit, flanking and surrounding Krugh as they jab at him with their spears. Krugh manages to fend of the flurry of attacks without taking any damage!
Valarken sees the chaos in the foyer and screams in inarticulate rage, "NO NO NO! WHERE IS DUSKBRINGER!?" He dashes back upstairs shouting the dragon's name as he goes...
Neela is up! Followed by Krugh, then Lucan.
