Sinak - The firebolt crackles through the air like a shooting star in the darkness. It slams into Marla's shoulder, singeing her filthy hair and tattered dress, but doesn't appear to have caused much damage. She scoffs dismissively before her eyes bulge in surprise as your spiritual weapon pierces her hunched back, drawing a pained howl.
Yasmina is up! Followed by Krugh (Pre-posted), then Thelan (Pre-posted).
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Yasmina quickly utters a few arcane words, making a quick patter in the air with her hand, the ruby ring flaring up briefly with a fiery light as she swiftly uses a curse of her own on the hideous hag before unleashing a beam of fiery crackling eldritch force against her, then taking cover behind the closest tree trunk.
Yasmina - The fiery blast washes over Marla and she wails in pain, her face now a mask of rage.
Krugh - You spin in perfect sync with Yasmina's eldritch blast, bringing your greataxe down in its wake. The heavy blade carves deeply into Marla, drawing more screams of pain. Your wild magic surge causes your greataxe to glow in coruscating blue energy. Until your rage ends, the weapon’s damage type changes to force, and it gains the light and thrown properties, with a normal range of 20 feet and a long range of 60 feet. If the weapon leaves your hand, the weapon reappears in your hand at the end of the current turn.
Thelan - Your arrow finds its mark, burying itself into Marla's chest and knocking her back half a step. Marla grabs the arrow but before she can break it off a tangle of thorny vines erupt from the ground and wrap around her limbs. Marla struggles against the vines but can't extricate herself.
All - The overgrown rosebush where Sinak and Krugh found relief suddenly begins quivering violently. The bush draws itself tighter, becoming a dense shambling mound of roses and thorns! It begins shambling closer to Krugh.
The shambling mound raises a large portion of its bulk and brings it down violently at Krugh! The first attack misses, but the second smashes into his upper body, dealing 10 (reduced to 5 due to rage) points of bludgeoning damage.
ROUND 2
Neela is up! Followed by Marla, then the rest of the players may act in any order.
Neela yelps as the bush beside her comes to life. Not liking being caught between the witch, pinned down as she may be, and the thorns of the bush, she scampers away behind the building. She slaps Krugh on the leg as she passes.
"Krugh, be mighty!!". Her words take form as they escape her kobold lips and seem to surround Krug with a soft brassy glow.
Action: Disengage. Bonus Action: Bardic Inspiration on Krugh (1d6 to spend on any attack, save or ability check). Move: 1 down and 3 left.
Marla will struggle once more to free herself from the vines wrapped around her limbs, screaming with effort but ultimately failing. She will then spit a string of vile curses at Thelan for trapping her so. The magic infused words ring painfully in his ears, injuring and disorienting him.
Thelan takes 1 damage and has DIS on his next attack roll before the end of his next turn.
ROUND 2
Thelan, Krugh, Yasmina, & Sinak may act in any order, followed by the Shambling Mound.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Seeing the mass of vines moving closer Yasmina peeks out from behind the tree and unleashes another beam of fiery crackling eldritch force against the hideous hag, then moving in behind the cottage.
Yasmina - The eldritch blast slams into Marla, dealing her a heavy blow. Her eyes have a wild, terrified look in them now and she seems badly injured by the combined attacks.
ROUND 2
Thelan, Krugh, & Sinak may act in any order, followed by the Shambling Mound.
Sinak takes the opportunity to disengage from the shambling mound, moving one space southwest and then one space west, keeping his eye on Marla, and directing the ethereal spear to attack her again. “Let’s surround her. Watch out for that bush!”
(Rolled in log, 22 to hit, 8 points of damage.)

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Sinak - The ethereal spear plunges deeply into Marla, and she screams in agony. Her head drops to her chest for a moment but raises weakly as she clings to what little life she has left.
ROUND 2
Krugh & Thelan may act in any order, followed by the Shambling Mound.
Krugh - Your handaxe attack is enough to kill or incapacitate Marla, can you describe for us what that looks like?
Marla is DEFEATED.
All - When Marla loses consciousness the shambling mound suddenly falls still. The roses wilt and the vines wither and crumble, leaving a pile of brittle twigs and dry petals.
In a whirling attack where Kurgh nearly loses his balance from swinging a much lighter Great Axe than expected he manages by some great inspiration to hit Marla to the side of the head with the blade of the axe knocking her senseless.
As he recovers and looks at the ground at the unconscious hag he screams in his rage
Hearing the sounds of battle die out, Yasmina comes around the cottage and sees the hideous hag at Krugh's feet, nodding at her companions. "Perhaps she knows something that could be helpful to us, although I wouldn't want her left alive to commit more wicked deeds."Yasmina says and cautiously moves into the cottage, bracing herself for what she will find there.
Neela peeks out from behind the cottage, making sure everything is still and quiet. Seeing thus, she breaks out into a little jig and runs around to give everyone high (for her, low for you) fives.
"You did it!! I knew you were mighty warriors! You defeated the evil witch and her evil plants! Let's tie her up so she can't do any more evil magics, then see what we find in the cottage. Anyone have rope?"
Neela checks the battered leather purse from which the skeletal rat came. If it looks like a component pouch, she takes that, and checks for anything else the witch may have had on her.

Sinak walks over to check the hag, to see if she is still alive. He doesn’t look too excited about trying to leave her alive or healing her, thinking that in the end she got what she deserved. He kneels down to check her.
Medicine : 6
Afterward he walks over to the cottage, opening the door and begins to examine the house. He notes the pentagram on the floor and he appears revolted, and he disrupts it, kicking it.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Yasmina - The foul scent of death and decay washes over you when you press open the door to the cottage. The source of the stench is a corpse that has been beheaded, disemboweled, and quartered. The remains are strewn around a pentagram in a rough approximation of human anatomy. Aside from the macabre display, you also see a pile of filthy hay and ratty blankets that looks as though they were used as a bed, a desk, and a chest. The desk has a few magical components on it, a bundle of raven feathers, white mushrooms with red mottling, and a large deer horn. The chest has a locked with a large heavy padlock and you also believe it to be trapped. Judging from the mechanism of the trap only something as delicate as Thieves' Tools would be able to open it without setting off the trap.
Neela - You find more dead rats within the satchel, their yellowed teeth are long and curved, but they are inanimate. Among the bones, rotted flesh, and fur you also find a heavy iron key, and a sizable hunk of amber (10g). It is uncut nor polished but may be worth something to the right person.
Krugh - You almost vomit immediately at the stench that escapes when you open the hag's mouth to stuff the petals inside, but just barely manage to keep it down and finish restraining her.
Sinak - Marla is unconscious but alive. You surmise that she will awaken in 4 hours. The dried blood and viscera that were used to draw the pentagram smear as you kick your boot at it. The faintly glowing runes fade and wink out when the pentagram is disrupted.
Sinak (before he walks into the hut) helps Krugh tie up the hag, dragging to a stump or tree to secure her tight and making sure that the gag of flower petals keeps her from speaking.
After he is in the cottage and after he’s disrupted the foul circle, Sinak ritually casts detect magic and looks around the room.

Neela scatters the worthless components, keeps the amber, then clutches the key in her fist and runs into the house and looks around. She doesn't react to the body parts, having seen plenty worse as a servant to a dragon. Seeing the chest, however, she immediately runs up to Yasmina and hands her the key.
"Here, try this to open it. Careful, though!"

Krugh, feeling the power flowing from his wild rage draws one hand axe from his belt and attacks the hag with two attacks.
He completely misjudges his first swing one-handed with his Great Axe rolling a nat 1
But manages to hit with his hand axe mostly due to the bardic inspiration ( Thank you Neela ) for a roll of 10 + 5 + 1D6 (5 ) = 20
The Hand Axe does 5 + 3 + 2 = 10 damage to the hag
