"I agree with going to the Keep first. The elves told us to visit the Druid and that turned out be a nasty surprise. I'm not sure we should trust that the ruins could help us. I've been working on a spell to make people tell the truth and I think I just figured it out. So if any more nasty witches tries to tell nasty lies, I'll be ready for them!"
She takes the Goodberries with a nod to Thelan, admiring his new look and surreptitiously comparing his coppery skin to her brass paint. She carefully places the berries in her bandolier next to the potion, and collects her pack, ready to begin their trek.
Krugh - You take last watch and find the campfire burned down to a softly glowing bed of coals. You find a nearby branch and stir the coals idly while you wait, causing a torrent of sparks to fly upward. It reminds you of the way the fox disappeared in a flurry of petals. Remembering them, you pull one out of your pocket and crush it between your large fingers, staining them a faint pink. The pink stain reminds you of the blood stain and worse that was inside Marla's cottage, and with a frown you wipe your fingers clean on your pants. Phantasmal foxes, hideous hags, and lying lycanthropes... You think you yourself. It was almost something out of a fairy tale! And the fox's last warning... Something about a feather? It reminds you of a saying your father was fond of, "Dark wings, dark tidings."Well black dragons have dark wings, so the old man wasn't too far off! You smile remembering your father for a moment, then another thought crosses your mind and steals the smile from you face, Ravens have dark wings too... You turn and see Sinak meditating silently nearby, Dark wings with dark feathers! You hadn't suspected any of your newfound travelling companions to be traitors, given how readily they volunteered to help find the children... But why does he want to go to the ruins so bad? It's almost like it's his top priority really... You spend the rest of your watch pondering these uneasy thoughts and feelings and it passes without incident.
Krugh - You eat too many, too fast and one ends up stuck in your throat. You feel the many feet of the grub tickling your uvula and begin vomiting violently all over your chest and the ground in front of you. There are half-chewed grubs stuck and writhing in the vomit on your chest.
Sinak is working up an answer, about to extoll the virtues of the Raven Queen to his half orc companion when Krugh violently vomits up grubs. Sinak makes a motion and puts a finger to his mouth as if he is going to follow suit just seeing him, but with deep breaths and looking away he is able to stop himself from vomiting. "Another time, perhaps." is all that he musters. "Guess I'll be having this ration here... in a minute."
Yasmina listens to the others thoughts as she slowly eats her breakfast, politely turning down the kind and generous offer of grubs. As Krugh starts to vomit all over the place she quickly gets up and takes a walk to get a change of scenery, and smell.
Thelan hides a smile behind his hand as Krugh fights with his breakfast, then quickly composes himself. “Yes, let’s keep moving. Are we all agreed on heading straight for the keep, then?” Thelan looks around the party for any disagreements. “With any luck we will find Fivin today and he can guide us through the final approach.”
All - You strike camp and head southeast through the Woods of Sharp Teeth. After about six hours of travel you come across the trail of retreating orcs once more. The boot prints are similar, the numbers look to be about roughly the same, and the careless way the undergrowth is trampled leave little doubt as to who made it.
Yasmina -
Razul scouts ahead and finds a group of about twelve orcs roughly 200 yards further down the trail. He reconnoiters for a bit, then returns to you. Telepathically, Razul shares the following images with you: The orcs are split into two groups, one consisting of eight and the other numbers four. Razul sees two male orcs, one standing in front of each respective group, talking and gesturing to one another. The appear to be arguing. The rest of the orcs watch with hands resting uneasily on their weapons. You recognize the orc standing in front of the smaller group to be Grutok Doomspear.
"My friends, I have a little helper that keeps a look out for me. He just spotted the orcs some 200 yards further down the trail. Grutok Doomspear is with them and it seems he is still trying to convince them to leave. Do you think we should try to help him in some way?" Yasmina says to her companions, motioning for them to stop until they decide how to proceed.

As daylight starts to seep through the canopy and the sounds of the forest change with the coming day Krugh is making breakfast for the party.

Krugh takes a few seconds to compose himself and then tastes one of the grubs again.

Krugh - This one goes down just fine and you're able to finish the rest without another puking episode.

"What a wonderful morning" Krugh states as he stands up and streches.
"Let's go, children to save"
Krugh starts packing the cooking set and utensils, ties his backpack and makes to leave.
