OOC Aww poor Tez/Amon well her little fairy thief can be exploring the town himself, separately for a bit than ^~^
Man sadly the 22 was the thieves in waiting trying to ambush them. (Their stealth roll)
RP
They had been following these figures for some time Corvus had the right idea of things to avoid being caught, however as a group they were noticed quite some time ago. Walking into an alley with tall lingering buildings men with crossbows had come out the window. Four in total, readying in action for any movement on both the ground or the air. To fire if the slightest movement was made. Sneaking behind the group was four more bladed assailants that manage to pincer those lingering in the back. While the two they followed turned around drawing their own blades. The one with a gusted cowl earlier from Jess had finally begun to speak. It was a woman's voice gravelly and coarse as she began to shout at the passing adventurers.
"Following us eh? Not exactly very well I'm afraid. First you try to blow my cowl off and now this huh? I'm willing to forgive ye for a small price of 200 gold pieces! Other wise I'll have to take you to the boss! What will it be?"
It was clear that the one's wielding blades had finer finer blades than just a shortsword, rapiers and sabers alike. They even appeared to have hand crossbows on the side.
"Men! They make a move go after the flier first! Last time we ignored someone like that they rained hell down upon us! Without aerial control were screwed. I'm hoping however they come down for a nice chat instead!"
OOC Party if they engaged won't get surprised rounded against as they didn't attack outright from the shadows. But more vicious sneaking bandits may take that surprise round in the future!
As Sy enters the establishment he see's rather exotically dressed women and men both. Dancers and server's and friendly smiles. One women with a maid outfit and a male beside her wearing a butler's suit had offered him a bow. Both seemed of some elvish decent as they exclaimed
"Welcome to the Garden!"
In this tavern of sorts the inside was shockingly beautiful for such a desolate underground portion of the town. Red carpet and glass wine, it seemed nobles as well as thugs ate here. There was another board like at the shining guild but there appeared to be many more jobs? There was a large black dragoborn with his arms crossed standing beside a human bartender. And beside him was the most beautiful elvish woman in the entire estate. Every member of the staff had been talked to in some way or form but none dared to approach her even if many had decided to gawk. She had a long red noble woman's dress and yet a youthful face with a soft expression.
Growling, Corvus lands on the roof of one of the near buildings. His companions had been so loud that they had given away his position even though he had been airborne since the beginning of the hunt. Bloody fools. If they had stayed behind this would not have happened. And now, they will target him if a fight breaks out. Fantastic. His talons scrape together within his sleeve. Well, at least he knows these people don't have one of their own who can fly, that way he'll only have to dodge crossbow bolts...unless one of them is a caster. The sound of metal scraping metal sounds again. Bloody fools all of them. Hopefully being on the roof above the enemy will give hims some cover from the arrows. From his current position, he can rain down eldritch blasts upon them. However, he refrains for now. Telepathically, he instructs Crow to stay near the leader. Out loud, he calls down, "200 gold is a bit much don't you think? Especially after you already took revenge on my dear Genasi friend, so I think I'll pass on that. And who is your boss exactly? If you had simply been up front with us to begin with, then we would not have bothered you farther. You're stares weren't exactly subtle, so you can't blame us for being a bit concerned."
Drezmir, noticing that they've been surrounded, is a little irritated with himself for his horrible show of stealthiness. On the other hand though, he seems generally unperturbed by these armed assailants and puts his hands up behind his head in a show of both relaxation and to let them know that he has no plans of drawing his weapons at the moment.
"Heh, well, I can't say I'm very pleased with myself at the moment, but to be honest I have nothing against you right now," he turns his attention to the woman who's cowl Jess had attempted to remove. "I came to ensure that my friends didn't end up in a sticky situation...such as we find ourselves in currently. However, my flying friend has a point, 200 is a lot and you people don't look in need of charity. You were observing us earlier, and...well that's enough to make us suspicious. If you want something with us, just ask. More then likely we would have listened to you and probably helped out depending on what it is you ask. Now though, you are the ones threatening us, and I don't see a reason to pay our way out of it." He drops his hands, crossing his arms and taking on a slightly more serious tone, "We've faced worse then you, so why don't we keep this civil? What interest do you have in us? Why were you watching our company? As my feathered friend said already, if you were up front with us then we wouldn't have followed you in the first place. Now all we want is to talk. There is no need for threats."
Sy gives the welcomers a bow. Realising he has no gold, he walks up to the job board to see the options, hoping he may be able to get enough gold to enjoy the luxury of the establishment. He takes note of everyone in there, and realised that this is a safe haven for all. Plague doctor’s mask on his head as always, he looks at the job offers to fulfill.
Jess stands as a wolf, glaring at the hooded woman who spoke, and a low growl can be heard, as her hackles rise. But then she sits near Juzi and Drezmir, holds her head high, and gazes at the hooded ones with a regal, patient air.
Kocino steps forward. “I think we are all being a bit hasty. We are tired and more than a bit paranoid from issues on the road. We saw you observing us and assumed the worst. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m sure you just saw an odd group of newcomers. Some of those newcomers were a little… forward with their actions. I don’t blame you for taking it for aggression.” Kocino slowly pulls out his pan and holds it up. “How about I make you fine folks a world class meal and we call it even?” Kocino glances up to Corvus and tries to make eye contact.
Sorry, I totally missed that Jess had turned into a wolf.
Juzi follows the group inside with just enough time to see Jess change into a wolf. Juzi screeched, at first with concern, but once Jess started hopping around playfully at him he squealed with Joy. "Gau, gau!" After the moment of levity, however, Juzi sat down and patted Jess while staying intent on those the party now faced.
Corvus meets Kocino's gaze and shrugs. He does not come down from his perch on top of the building. He doubts this confrontation will end so easily, but he is willing to let the other warlock try to bribe their way out of it. Though he hopes to at least learn the name, or alias, of these people's boss. Otherwise, this entire thing was meaningless.
"You'll refuse and than demand questions? You aren't in a place to be making demands, if any of you make a move my men are trained on now. It's just a trigger away bird."
As Drezmir raises his arm this stops the man woman from attacking outright it seems, keeping negotiations going.. For now.
"First a bird, and also a mutt? You are a traveling zoo aren't ya?!"
The woman raised an eyebrow to Kocino she lowered her blade but her crossbow men still were ready (Readied actions) had walked slowly to Kocino before raising her blade once more. (For her it is not a readied action)
"You'll make a meal..? You've got ingredients? Can you really cook? Hmm.."
One man had spoken up upon learning this fact.
"We've a bunch of ingredients back at headquarters but we don't know how to cook em! They could use some food back home!"
The woman crossed her arms as a second man one of the crossbow men spoke up.
"We can't trust these guys! Forget his cooking we can buy food with 200 gold from them!"
The woman looked at Kocino with a rather flat look before lowering her hood, but not before a gesture of somatic components upon her visage. She was hiding under some sorta disguise but seeing her true form it was revealed that she herself was also a Shadir Kai.
"If you all lower you're weapons and follow me.. We can work something out.. Can you cook for large groups? If you have assistants? You'll be watched too of course, won't have them getting poisoned."
OOC They mean the party but also it seems they have had another fight before from the way the talked ^^
Corvus makes an odd clicking noise deep in his throat, the avian equivalent of a growl. Who are these people? Despite his clear irritation, he does not move from his place. Though he keeps Crow alert. The little dragon ready to bury it's stinger into whomever it's master wishes once he gives the command.
He smirks when the woman walks up to Drezmir, then turns to Kocino without letting down her guard. This one has good senses. In any other situation, the warlock may have tried to add her to his collection of tools. However, at the moment he remains on the roof watching the show. Was this woman really going to take them to their headquarters just for a meal? Foolishness. Huh. But this Foolishness may be getting him exactly what he wanted. So, he waits. How will Kocino handle this?
Drez flinches a bit at the mention of 'mutt' only to feel silly about it since wolf Jess is standing beside him. That was who this woman was talking about, not him. He opened his mouth as if to say something, but hesitates as the woman turns to Kocino. He doesn't think its the best idea to willingly go into their lair, but he'll wait and see how his friend answers. This woman was taking a risk, showing her true form. At least, that was how it seemed considering she had taken the trouble to disguise herself first.
At the mention of 'lowering weapons' he glances about to note that none of his comrades...save perhaps Corvus, even had weapons drawn. As if to emphasize this, he once more puts his hands behind his head in a relaxed fashion and says, "It sounds like you've been through a fight already. I am...sorry to hear that. My friend here is right, perhaps all this was a bit hasty. Though, if we are to accompany you to your home, I would like an answer first. I appreciate your willingness to drop your disguise, and I take that as a gesture of trust. Please, tell us why you took interest in our group. We can talk on the way if you wish. So long as you don't take hostile action against us, I see no reason why we can't help you out."He extends a hand, "I am called Drezmir, and Romalia is my home country. I trust Kocino with my life, and I can guarantee he will cook you the finest meal ever prepared." He smiles, "My people value honor, and I have found mine to be an honorable group. I know you don't trust us, but you have nothing to fear in terms of poison."
He stops himself from going on, realizing he probably should have just stayed quiet. Still, he keeps his hand extended, hoping to lower the tension around them. Even if this woman was willing to take a risk with them, it didn't seem like the rest of them were fully on board.
OOC For the main group I'll wait till Kocino post. But I can add a post here for Sy ^~^

Marauders
On the job board it seemed many papers were ripped rather recently but three jobs had remained, one had talked of several orcish marauders that made their home in the under-city's sewers. The exact whereabouts were not known, no client was mentioned instead the details were to be handled with the "Madame" of the house Ayame Akarui and her dragonborn bodyguard Thanto's a blackdragon that served both as a bouncer and a bartender.
Reward: 300 gold
Red Cross Thugs
This job is a bit more.. Complicated but there is a group lead by a Shadir Kai woman and her "Captain" a strong armed Red Dragonborn. These folks have been stealing from nobility and only grown more bold since the armies have been sent to handle the dangers of the border. With tensions high in Germuid and this new rising threat.. These thugs have gone from nuisance to dangerous. Only approach if well trained and well armed and never alone.
Reward: 500 gold
Whistling Plains
For those who are not aware this is a town a half days into the whistling plains the town of Green Haven. Danbo the chief has been requesting military aid but his letters are vague and this was meant for the kingdoms eyes only. However if any adventurer is brave enough to answer the call in the kingdoms place perhaps Danbo will come to trust you or perhaps he will not. Either way it's best to come prepared.
Kocino gives a curious look to the woman. “I am quite literally wielding a pan and you’re asking if I can cook? I don’t have assistants exactly, but my friends may help. Even without a helping hand or two, I can make you a meal that can cause a king to curse his own chef.” Kocino points to the second man. “ I’ll have you know my cooking is worth more than gold.” He returns his attention to the woman. “What say you? Food or fight?
Sy looks at the board and thinks that the only one the party is able to handle is likely the Red Cross Thugs and the Marauders, so he tears those two from the board of jobs and leaves the fine establishment. His logic of reasoning for the second one was that they took on two dragon-like beings and won quite easily, and his heat metal would deal with one of the two. For the first one, he knows the party has fought much hardier threats and that they would not be of trouble. Now, he attempts to find his comrades.
