Drezmir is slightly startled when Gwen stares him in the eyes...he has always been a bit oblivious when it comes to girls... He wasn't sure why he had been so transparent with her...other than to make it known that he had no intentions of hurting her feelings, and that he might understand Simon a little. ...God of Lightning, he really needed more social experience before leaving his village...
He clears his throat, heat rising in his face as he says, "Oh, um.... I can't say its something I have a habit of. But I do believe that there is a time and place for transparency." He hesitates for a moment before clasping his hands together and saying, "Well, I suppose we should be heading out to meet these Jet brothers. Thank you for the warning, we did run into Robin while we were at the blacksmith. I had a feeling he might be trouble. And...well you be careful too, it sounds like your job has its own fair share of danger." A bit of bravado returns to his voice as he says, "Until next time Lady Gwen, we will now depart to collect the rest of our comrades and head out on our next quest."
Giving Gwen a wave, he heads out after Kocino to see if he can find out where his friends ran off to.
Jess was lingering in the tavern, saying parting words to Gwen, paying the bartender. She'll exit the tavern and wonder where the heck everyone has gone to.
"Don't they know we have business to attend to?" She will mutter to herself.
Sloden follows along with Jess and shrugs, giving a polite smile and extending a hand. "Hello, Jess. I'm not sure I did right in introducing myself. I'm Sloden. It's been pretty thrilling to put my skills to work with you and the rest."
"We should probably head out towards where these brother bandits have been striking and let the others catch up, yeah?"
Gwen seemed she may have wanted to say more to Drez but that was for later and now was the time for action. Jess left the tavern ready to get a move on.
Meanwhile Corvus and Gilded had to figure out what to do with the Thief. He looked to Gilded.
"You... Didn't kill me..? I feel... My pain easing.. Why did you spare me? I don't understand..."
Jess takes Sloden's hand and shakes it. "A pleasure. May we have more successful adventures together. I think we should find a few more of the group before tracking down the bandits. Between you and me, I've spent much of my strength today and won't be much help in a fight. We're going to need more brawn on our side, if they're as tough as we've heard."
She'll begin to look about, trying to figure out where the others have got to.
Gilded tells the thief. "You live this way because you have not learned how to live correctly. Dieing without honor will lead you to the darkest regions of hell. I do not wish that on anyone. So while your path may be hard, maybe at the other end you can find purpose and someday go to glory."
"Tell me what you know of this town, why is there so much thievery and deception."
Gilded stands the thief up and starts walking him to the guards.
Corvus nods to Gilded. He walks on the opposite side of the thief. "Hopefully you will learn from this encounter. You may not be so lucky next time." He says coldly.
As gilded takes the thief along with Corvus he bumps into a few familiar faces.. Jess and Sloden outside with the tavern! (Along with any others who waited at the front of the tavern)
"I-I see.. You think I'm worth redemption? Ha.. I just came here for an easy mark... Well.. Still... I know a debt when I owe one. Thank you Scaly, for saving my life. Maybe I'll.. Think of a better way to make money. Huh? What I know..? Well... The town's got two major gangs ya see.. The Jet Brothers and Robin and his gang. The Jet brothers work underhanded deals with some of the guards almost everybody knows that! Heck some of the guards told me they'd pay me extra if I killed you off. Though not all of them are in on it. Anyone in Gwyn's unit seems to be a mark to stay clear of. Robin.. Well he's a dumbass, he fights the guards and the Jet Brother gang and plenty of his people had died trying to do it too. So... He's a dense moron if you're curious. Crazy.. Almost as Crazy as the guy who decided to spare my life."
He didn't hold anything back, not out of fear but because he had least believed he owed Gilded. He looked to Corvus after his comment.
"Who the heck are you? I don't remember seeing you at the fight."
"That's because I got there just in time to see my companion here kick your sorry tail." He fixes the bandit with his red gaze, "Perhaps this Robin character isn't the only moron around here."
"Perhaps we should find this Robin. If he is fighting with the Jet brothers, perhaps he can help us with them, or the rest of this mess." He keeps this to himself for now, as he doesn't want the bandit hearing him.
(Were we at the Tavern long enough to get a short rest? Drez doesn't really need one, but I thought I'd ask anyways.)
Drez walks up behind Jess and Sloden, "We are glad to have you here Sloden! What kingdom do you hail from might I ask? I don't think I heard." He nods to Jess, "You did a lot back there with those goblins, definitely more than I did that's for sure." He chuckles a little, as if he hadn't really meant to say that last part. "Anyways, if we don't find Gilded, Vex, and Corvus soon, we may have to take a rest before heading out regardless."
After wandering the town and being unable to find anyone, Kocino returns to the tavern. He approaches the group and looks at the bound, bloodied person in their midst. Kocino points at the unfamiliar person and asks, “Team mascot or..?”
As Corvus and Gilded see the group, he hails them. He tells them his story, leaving nothing out, even his arrogance. He tells them what the thief has told him and Corvus.
" I'm sorry, I did not think my small trip to the blacksmith would turn into such a mess."
"Seems we may need some rest before we tackle the Jet brothers. But I'm worried that word will get out what we are up to, giving them time to prepare and plot against us. There is some advantage to moving quickly, even if Gilded here has gotten a bit banged up."
Corvus walks over to Jess. Speaking in quietly so the bandit can't hear, he says, "It may be beneficial for us to seek out this Robin fellow. The one who tried to rob Gilded at the blacksmith earlier. Apparently he has faced these Jet brothers before, he may have information, or be willing to help us take them out. If you want to wait on the jet brothers, those of us who do not need a rest, can search for Robin. However, I am not apposed to cutting strait to the chase and fighting them. Gilded can stay on the sidelines for this fight, unless another in our party has skills in the healing arts."
"Yes, it seems a few of us need a break," Drezmir says, looking at Guilded. "Are you alright my friend?"
Internally, he is a bit disappointed since he'd just told Gwen that they were going to head straight out to fight the Jet brothers... He thinks to himself that a midnight ambush might have been fun, but for now it would be better to see to his comrades. Perhaps a midnight ambush would have been predictable anyways...
Drez raises an eyebrow as he hears Corvus speak to Jess. Nodding, he inserts himself into the conversation, keeping his tone low as well, "That might actually be a good idea...as much as I don't like the thought of working with that guy, it could be in our favor to get him to work with us."
"Now it leaves the question, when should we do it? Are we going to rest? Or are we going to do something?" He seems a bit irritated at the indecisiveness of this group, but he is stuck with them nonetheless. He knows his limits, and he wouldn't be able to take on a such a threat alone.... not yet anyways.

"Well it looks like you didn't need help after all." Corvus says in a smooth yet almost disappointed voice.
Gilded hears Corvus. "I got lucky, I feel it could have gone either way. Thank you for looking for me. My arrogance about cost me my life.
Gilded says a small prayer and lays on his remaining 4 hp to himself.
He then looks around and picks up the thief weapons and anything else he may have dropped.
" will you help me carry this bandit to the guards for punishment?"

The thief seemed to be... Rather confused.
