(Ok, so I rolled ahead and since you all have successfully conscripted Lady Luck into your service, rolls for travel time have become redundant because you do not encounter anything en route. Moving on!)
Mile-by-mile the forest deteriorates around you. The ground becomes more spongy, then muddy. Pools of stagnant water replace the smaller bushes and shrubs while trees spread further apart. In this swampland, a fog rolls in which carries an ominous sense of dread. There is no question that this land has become hostile to all life.
Traversing the waterways and small bits of semi-solid terrain, bone totems and shrines spring out of the marsh to ward of intruders. Further in, small ruins dot the landscape, an echo of ages past when this region may have been home to scattered communities and minor lordly holdings. As it turns out, your scout's notes for your map prove to be entirely reliable.
(Need a Perception check and, if you like, a Stealth check.)

Taliesin can make out faint movements through the mist, but it is difficult to tell what these may be. Perhaps a tree, perhaps and ambush?
Solomon's spell nearly blinds him as the fog itself becomes a shimmering veil of magic. Something is creating this fog and judging by the sheer volume, it is something very powerful.

(So far,) Moving through this foggy swamp unnoticed has been relatively easy and Crispy immediately realizes their fortune: several patrols and groups of lizardmen are seen over a mile of travel. None are close enough to hit with a thrown dagger, but they would surely notice the party's movements were it not for the fog. It seems that mutual blindness is preferred for these raiders over mutual visibility.
(Just going to pause for everyone to make any checks, spells, etc. they would like before continuing.)

Evelyn is going to rack her brain to see if she can remember what sorts of animals or creatures might look in a swamp that they would have to be wary of.
(Taliesin, didn't you already roll a 16 for Stealth before? I can take the 12 if you like ;P)
Evelyn, this seems like a perfect place for various kinds of snakes and crocodiles. I would not rule out that the lizardfolk have domesticated some of the local wildlife.
As you move along, your map notes indicate you should be within a mile of your destination. Taliesin notices that the standing pools take a darker appearance, swirling shades of black and green in their muddy surfaces. Something has affected the water in a foul way. Periodically, you also notice ripples in the water's surface.
Closing within a quarter mile, you hear a growing shuffe of activity and hissing from several directions. It seems you're attempts at Stealth were not enough to go totally unnoticed, but enough to mask your location. From the converging noises, you can estimate that a few dozen lizardmen are moving around about 80 feet away.

Guys, let's keep moving. I'm going to cast a spell on us that'll silence all noise made by us. After I cast it we won't be able to communicate or hear.
Apparently, Taliesin is using mutual silence in the same way that the fog provides mutual concealment ;)
