Taliesin writes back, "Yeah I guess we don't want to be in the open. They can't hear us and if we hide it'd slow us down but make it harder for them to spot us."
Crispy scans the area, fully armed and ready, watching the two of them pass love notes while keeping an eye on the surroundings.
She makes hand signals, like they used to use in the academy, asking one of the two if we should fall back and find a more advantageous position. If we stay here, we're bound to be found.
It's difficult to tell with the Silence in place, but the lizardfolk are closing in. Shadows in the fog are closer and more numerous now. As best as you can reckon, the closest is only 50' away now. Those of you with incredible Passive Perception (Crispy, Evelyn, and Taliesin) can see several figures lurking in the water nearby and creeping, thorny vines working their way across the ground near your feet.
Using a clock face for reference, enemies are concentrated at 10 and 1. There are more scattered at 3-4 and 8-9. Best guess puts the whole group at at least a dozen and a half.

Ok, Solomon will do the plan. He slices a ten-foot piece off his rope. He then casts Rope Trick to have his rope curl into the air. He will then crawl up and vanish.
Crispy signals a recommendation to retreat, or..use the pocket dimension, which she wasn't too fond of, but..she didn't plan on dying this way, not today.
She expertly climbs up the rope, too, begrudgingly.
Interested to see where this goes. As it stands, we have 4 of 6 in the pocket dimension, but it doesn't seem right to have 6 people climb a rope at the same time in a 6-second window while a multitude of enemies slowly close in...

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Elon, as you turn to retreat, something catches your eye. Before you can take a step, you see that the ground has become a deathtrap of woven, sharpened branches. The pathway is littered to the front and rear with the branches and you're left with two options: Brave the thicket and run, or take to the swampy marsh. Either choice will be difficult terrain, one will likely be painful, the other with unknown dangers.
(Will hold the following until Elon chooses his course of action)
As Rex begins to climb, several sharpened spears sail from the mist at the goliath's massive form. Hissing and yelling can be heard (those who know Draconic, they are rallying others in the area to this location).

The Ring of Jumping allows you to cast Jump at will as a bonus action. This allows you to jump 3x your normal distance: Long Jump is equal to STR score, High Jump is 3+STR mod, if you get a 10' running start before, half distance for standing jumps.
So, if you get the headstart, which is available here, you can jump 36 feet forward, or 12 feet up (plus 7 1/2 feet for heigh and arm reach)

Taliesin walks over to Crispy and writes, "Yeah we need to hide ourselves as we continue to move."
Rex draws his sword and stretches his long limbs.
Ooc: that silence won't move with us right?
@DM can I center the spell on my head so that when I walk around it stays with me?
Solomon flips the note over and writes, “I can make a pocket dimension to hide in. That work?”

Evelyn follows up the rope, might as well see where this goes.

Elon, seeing the portal begin to close decides it best to retreat back (6 o’clock) to a more secure position 50’ so he remains in attack distance.

Rex will be the last to use the rope, making note of Elon's position as he does so. Can he see where Elon is from inside the pocket dimension?
