(Would you all like to head for the haunted cave or press on to the objective?)

"Which way? Haunted caves are fun and all, but I'd rather not press my luck with specters. I vote we continue on toward our original objective. What say you all?"
In this sort of endeavour, a mile saved is a mile gained. By Talvus' deacription, it takes 10 days to march to the keep in Dalenor. Eliminate the threat, it still takes 10 days to march. Find a shortcut, you allow more flexibility in their timeline. Not sure if it was said in previous dialogue, but there are a few days yet before the army marches.

If we can reach the enemy fast enough we may be able to surprise them and use magic users could bombard them with an AoE spell before they realize what's going on in order to deal maximum damage and make the fight a lot easier.
“Sooooo, cave or not” Elon says feeling a little uneasy out in the open. He has never been one for being in the open or surprised. Too many years of ambushes and hard lessons. He’s read to just do something.

"Then we're going to our original objective first since this is time sensitive, but we can mark the cave on our map and return later for any treasure or goods that can be collected." Evelyn states, eager to continue.
The next few hours pass uneventfully and you are able to skirt around the previously indicated haunted cave. In fact, the rest of the afternoon passes by without too much trouble. Night falls without so much as a peep from the forest around you. Thanks to your research at the army camp and the scout's assistance, tou find a safe place to bed down for the night until morning.
(Ok, so my rolls have been for crap and you dodged nearly ever random encounter en route to the lizardmen. More to folow soon.)
(By the way, that cave was supposed to be a random encounter with a Wraith and specter minions. However, broad daylight wouldn't make sense for the encounter and I also rolled to have some assistance in getting to the objective. Very pleased with how it turned out because you got to skip 2 encounters)

Just 3 rolls from anyone. To prevent spamming, I'll just take the first 3 rolls, whether from one or several people. If they all succeed, then surprise! you make it to the lizardmen unimpeded and we'll roll right along.

The cave might be a good place to get some XP and magical items. I'd say we go there...
"Might be this cave should be checked out as it may bea danger to others.
“We should make a report of the cave for the army to avoid and continue onto the objective” Elon says in a confident voice.

"It seems we are split on checking the cave, is it on our way?"
“As much as I hate delaying, we are ahead of schedule already. Plus, neutralizing an undead menace would help our cause, I’m sure.”

Oh, I forgot we're on a time sensitive mission...
Didnt they say we'd become enemies of their nation if we failed?
I change my mind, we should continue on.

I'd like to push ahead towards our objective.
Crispy shrugs her shoulders. She's down for whatever.

Good, alright let's keep going.

Ooc: are you looking for survival rolls from 3 different people or just get our best survival guy (presumably the ranger) to roll all 3 of them?
