Fro hears bandit D make a comment and charges to him, swinging her axe as she closes. "You and your back up will not make it past us." She doesn't hit as hard as she would like because he is in a crevice.
To hit: 19 Damage: 6 (with +2 Rage bonus in game log)
Edit to add that Fro would like to make a non-lethal attack.. need to keep one alive.
The frog that is holding Banyan's leg seems to realize he's too big to swallow, so it releases and bites again! The other frog is practically clamoring over the first to try to bite him, too! They both miss! Banyan is able to fend them off for the moment.
Cyro wraps his arms around Bandit A's legs; he's grappled! He totters a bit but maintains his balance and brings his sword hilt down on Cyro's head for 4 damage (20 to hit). "Get offa me you crazy little monster!"
The other grimly attacks Fro and lands a blow (19 to hit) and deals 3 damage (half of 6 due to raging resistance to slashing damage)
Faloniir gets a turn!
Round 2
(21) Banyan - missed frog
(16) Faloniir -
(14) Cyro - grappled Bandit A
(11) Frog A - missed Banyan
(11) Frog B - missed Banyan
(7) Fro - Wounded Bandit D
(3) Bandit A (sword) (5 damage, arrow) - conks Cyro on the head
Faloniir's arrow finds its mark, sinking deeply into the frog's shoulder. It crooaaks in obvious pain.
Banyan finishes off the wounded frog by stabbing it in the head, his new dagger slicing through the skull with surprising ease (11 to hit, 6 damage)
The bandits are not intimidated by Cyro's antics. They brandish their weapons, obviously intending to see the fight over, one way or another. They must have no recourse, nowhere else to go. They've edged together as though blocking the way, and you all can tell now that one of the nooks in this cavern is larger than the others. It must be another passage that goes deeper into the cave system.
Seeing that Banyan has killed one of his attackers, Faloniir will turn his attention to the wizened gnome trying to grapple the much larger bandit, "What are you doing? You'll get yourself killed!" He will then loose an arrow at the grappled bandit.
Faloniir makes a clean shot through the lung of Bandit A, who dies standing up, because Cyro's got him around the legs and waist and he can't fall over!
He does indeed drop. Most of the bandits are slain but one is knocked out cold. There is only 1 frog remaining. Banyan slashes at it with his dagger, 8 damage.
The bandit wakes as you bind him, and he watches you closely as you search the cavern, tight-lipped. There’s nothing in the books and crannies in the walls except for three passages: the one you came from, now with 2 dead frogs blocking the way, another leading back presumably to the bat chamber according to Cyro’s instructions, and a third passage leading deeper into the caves.
The bedrolls hold little of interest. A few knick-knacks, about 40 pieces of silver and 20 gold spread over several money pouches, a fine pipe with a detailed silver inlay and accompanying tobacco pouch made of sealskin, and a valuable unopened bottle of Bald Dwarf Whisky.
I give Cyro, Banyan, and Faloniir each 15 Silver and 7 gold, I have 2 extra, so I give 1 more to Faloniir and 1 more to Cyro.
"Cyro, you need at least one meelee weapon, choose a shortsword or daggers to fight with. That wrestling thing you tried isn't gonna work for you too much."
She takes the pipe and the tobacco, and ask the group.
"You guys wanna have a drink of this guys whiskey and rest a bit?"
Faloniir puts his bow back in it's sling and says, "Absolutely I do." He'll head over and accept his portion of the loot, "Mind if I take a couple of those daggers? I already have two shortswords."

If they get higher than a 21, they are not grappled.

Cyro and Fro can both use an unarmed strike and do the same damage. Just how?

(11) Frog B -

Cyro let’s go of the dead bandit and looks at the last one. He nocks an arrow with his longbow, and shoots. To hit: 10 Damage: 10
Cyro is quite a crazy gnome. One of his lowest stats is intelligence.
Fro will swing her axe again at the last bandit. "Clear the way, we will not be denied passage"
To hit: 22 Damage: 6
if the bandit drops, she will turn toward banyan and the last frog.
He does indeed drop. Most of the bandits are slain but one is knocked out cold. There is only 1 frog remaining. Banyan slashes at it with his dagger, 8 damage.
Faloniir and Cyro can act before the frog.
Faloniir nocks, draws, and looses another arrow at the frog.
Longbow: 13 Damage: 10
Another shot of deadly accuracy from Faloniir, and the frog slumps to the rocky floor of the cave, gives a bloody wheeze or two, and stops breathing.
The caves are quiet again, the only sounds an echoing drip-drip from somewhere and the occasional distant croooaaaak.
Fro will tie up the un unconscious bandit, search him and his partners, then look around the cavern. In that order.
"Not sure about you guys, but that fight has drained me, would you guys mind if we take at least a short rest here?"

Another 10 gold 20 silver on the bandits themselves, and their weapons - 4 daggers, 4 short swords, 2 light crossbows and 17 bolts.
I give Cyro, Banyan, and Faloniir each 15 Silver and 7 gold, I have 2 extra, so I give 1 more to Faloniir and 1 more to Cyro.
