Faloniir will say, "If they will survive in the wild, I say we let them free. If not, I'm sure someone in the village could find use for two domesticated wolves."
Seeing the others finishing their business inside, Faloniir will say, "Back to Palebank Village then?" If the party assents, he will lead the way. While they're walking Faloniir will ask, "What do you all make of this? It sounds like one of those items is cursed or contagious in some way." He mulls the facts of the situation as he walks, Urgon brought plundered goods to Palebank Village... He sold them to Pelc's, where Tulgi stole them and gave them to her sister... Both Urgon and Tulgi are sick, but what about the proprietor of Pelc's? Faloniir will say to the group, "If both Urgon and Tulgi are sick, there's a good chance someone from Pelc's is sick as well. That might be worth mentioning to Elro when we return, we don't know if this is contagious, and it'd be best to try and isolate the sick until we know for sure."
Fro thinks to herself 'I thought Urgon was just studying the artifacts from Eiselcross, why is he selling them?' She says to the group. "Why don't we go to Pelc's before we head back. I would like to talk to them, see if they have any other items that Urgon had brought there in the past. Maybe see if anyone is sick."
To Faloniir (and loud enough for all to hear) "My thought are that If no one else is sick, it would be hard for me to believe something was just cursed or had a contagious disease, It would have spread much further and faster as many more people have been around it. I currently have 2 thoughts, one being poison, maybe if they both used an item, like the dagger, possibly nicking themselves with it. Two, it could be a curse, maybe one that only attacks after a theft. It would appear to me that Tulgi stole the items in question, and possibly Urgon as well. Questions we can not answer yet, I would like to explore more before we see Elro again.
You continue your discussions as you head back to town. Hiking back to town and emerging from the woods, you're surprised to see how late in the day it's gotten. Trudging through the snow and up the mountain path took some time. And the days are short this time of year in this realm.
((Apologies for the delay. I was dealing with doctors appointments today.))
Exiting the hut with the others, Banyan turns one final time to see the wolves under Tulgi's bed. There was clearly loyalty there, even if they didn't understand what was currently happening. As they make their way back to the village, he contemplates the dagger in the bottom of his bag. There was no way of telling at this stage what it might actually be. It may be what it simply appears to be, an ornate dagger. But then again it was better to be careful with this situation.

"With the selectiveness of the disease and the connection of the items, surely they must be connected in some way. If it is the objects, then we should probably trace them back to their origin. There may be more like this. Imagine if it was something like a plain coin that was cursed in this way, and just slipped into a trading port. Within a few days that could have been passed around a significant number of the population." Banyan continued to trudge along with the group. "We should probably send someone back up with a cart to collect Brytness’ body. He may have family."
"Maybe we should call it a day and continue tomorrow, shame that Tulgi and the other infected are going through this, Fro is right though we should investigate more, maybe a alchemist or a potion shop might know something, if the items are cursed or we are dealing with some type of poison."
"Agreed. some rest would be great, though I think a priest might be in order first, to check for curses, before we let someone handle the items looking for poison."
Faloniir would seek out Elro and brief him on everything that happened at Urgon's cabin and Tulgi's cabin. He would suggest someone checking on the staff at Pelc's and sending an armed escort to bring Tulgi into custody.
(Sorry not clear, you have all previously secured lodging for several nights at the Jolly Dwarf Inn where you started out this morning)
Elro has been expecting your return. One of the town guards spots you and beckons you follow him, and he leads you to Elro’s home. He welcomes you into his humble 2-room cabin, where it is warm enough with a large fire going, has you sit, offers you all something to eat and drink. He listens intently to what you’ve said.
“We’ll send guards to Tulgi’s straight away, to apprehend her as well as to tend to your friend. I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. I did not expect that to happen.
“With how few guards we have on night duty, would you be willing to help us by dropping in on Pelc’s Curiosities before you retire tonight and check on Verla for me? I haven’t seen her lately, which is not unusual, as she is quite the recluse, sticks to her shop. Seems to like things more than people, though she’s nice enough at the shop. She’s had trouble with theft from time to time but it doesn’t seem to get her down too much and she always refuses our offer to increase security for her, she says it frightens away customers.
“For myself,” he says, standing up and gesturing to a large bookshelf that takes up most of one wall, “I’ve been doing some research and I might be getting closer to enlightenment. It appears that in the old civilization that used to inhabit Eiselcross they had the ability to create curses and diseases using magic, and they also had antidotes and remedies. It is slow going due to the archaic writing and laborious translation process, but I’ll see if I find something that matches the description of what we are seeing here.”
Faloniir will nod to the guard and follow them to Elro's home. He'll decline the food but accept a glass of ale if Elro has any, otherwise he'll have a glass of water to wet his throat before recounting the day's events with the others. In response to Elro Faloniir will say, "I appreciate the condolences, though I can't call myself her friend. We were merely acquaintances, but nonetheless she did not deserve to die today." He'll take a long glance at his glass, idly swishing the contents around for a bit before continuing, "Sure, I'd be happy to check up on... Verla was it? I can understand her enjoying solitude, but if she's sick she may not be able to ask for help. We'll send her your regards." Faloniir will raise an eyebrow when Elro mentions magical curses and diseases. In his youth he could make an unattended coin purse or fancy pocket watch disappear in the blink of an eye, but that was the extent of his 'magical' prowess. When Elro is done Faloniir will say, "Interesting, it's no wonder the gods struck down the Aeorians, given such hubris." He'll let the others ask their questions, then ask his own, "Have you heard of this Croaker Cave that Tulgi mentioned?"
Elro will give a frown at the mention of the cave.
"Yes, everyone knows where Croaker cave is, and everyone avoids it. It's dangerous, inhabited by an exceptionally large species of winter frog that can be quite aggressive, and it's also full of pools of cold water. If the frogs don't get you then drowning in ice-water due to hypothermia will. How can someone have a hideout there?"
Faloniir smirks and says, "Because it's the perfect cover. Perhaps it's not frogs getting folks, but these Utolotts... In any case, I expect we'll head there first thing tomorrow morning to investigate, but for now we'll go check on Verla. Thank you for your help and hospitality." He'll then stand and leave Elro's, heading for Pelc's.
Faloniir will turn to the others as they walk and quietly say, "I trust Elro, but I don't think we should tell anyone else what our plans are. I don't want the details of our investigation to reach these thieves before we do or we might be walking into a trap."
Once they're at Pelc's, he will knock on the door if it is outside business hours or enter if the place is still open for business.

Faloniir will say, "If they will survive in the wild, I say we let them free. If not, I'm sure someone in the village could find use for two domesticated wolves."
The wolves glare at you from under the bed, almost expectantly, as if they understand that their fate is being decided.
"Bah, leave them here, they are as hateful as their master." Fro walks out.

The town is just settling down for the evening as you return.
(OOC: Is there a tavern we could go to for rooms, or do we need to go see Elro?)
Faloniir would seek out Elro and brief him on everything that happened at Urgon's cabin and Tulgi's cabin. He would suggest someone checking on the staff at Pelc's and sending an armed escort to bring Tulgi into custody.
Fro will go with Faloniir if he will have her.
Faloniir would welcome the company!
