Krav can't help but wonder at the quality of the greatsword wielded by the third warrior. He makes his way over to the corpse and examines it.
Investigation: 14
As you pick up the weapon and begin to examine it you notice small runes carved under the hilt that give a faint (you barely noticed it) glow to them. The sword is razor sharp and in excellent condition.
Ezio takes the flail from Kaslo and inspects in closely for any tells magic. He notices small runes upon it and a symbol of Ubtao on the haft.
"It's certainly magical based upon these runes. Here is the symbol of the jungle god as well. I'll need to cast a ritual spell to identify the exact nature of the enchantment on this weapon," he says to the dwarf before walking over to the felled tree, sitting down, and leaning against it as he prepared the ritual. Once he was complete, he stood and went back to the dwarf.
"This is a vicious weapon similar to the sword I acquired earlier. It lends extra power to your blows if your strike is perfect. This flail also happens to be made of pure silver, good against certain enemies that are immune to mundane weapons; the magic runes inscribed into the weapon will also help with that." He says to Kalso before handing the weapon back.
Krav grunts. He considers himself at least proficient with a greatsword, but what could these runes mean? The dwarf walks over to Ezio, greatsword in hand.
"Ah, Ezio. This sword has runes on it. D'you think you'd know what they are?"Krav asks, starting to swing the large weapon towards the half-elf before he thinks better of it.
Ezio takes the heavy sword and once again casts his ritual. After some time he returns to the dwarf, saying, "This is a powerful weapon if somewhat distasteful for those of certain scruples. Besides being magically enchanted to aid your power and accuracy, it can also be made to secrete a black poison along the blade that is quite potent. It only produces enough poison for one use though, the magic replaces its store of it at dawn everyday." Ezio then shows the dwarf how to activate the blade's ability before returning it to him.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Krav thanks Ezio, taking the weighty weapon out of his hands
"Poison may be useful someday, although I doubt undead will care much. But this seems like a fine weapon!"
Krav glances at his greataxe.
"Now, what to do with this..." he mutters. Krav feels no attachment to the standard greataxe he "took" on his hasty retreat from his home, so when he walks back over to the dead soldier, he sets the axe by the soldier's hand, wrapping the rotting fingers around it with only slight distaste.
"A fair trade, I hope, since you won't likely use either. But a soldier should lie dead with a weapon," he tells the corpse. It gives no response, so Krav smiles slightly and cuts the straps off of the soldier's pack. When he is finished, he moves the pack onto the ground and looks through it.
Kaslo takes the flail back from Ezio. "Thanks for that".
He awkwardly waves the flail around, obviously unskilled with such a weapon. "Well I would likely do more harm then good with this thing, but perhaps someone else might have the knack for it. Let us hold onto it for now I suppose."
"You're quite welcome. To repay the favor, can you search that wizard over there? The book I found on her is locked and I'm almost certain the key is on her remains somewhere, but I was unable to find it. I'd asked our tiefling companion to look, but it seems he is hesitant to touch a corpse. Now that I think about it, it's rather strange that I didn't find her spell book, the tome I found was magical in nature, but seems to contain no spells. If you find that on her body as well, I'd have great use of it." Ezio replies to Taggart.
Ezio then prepares the ritual, identifying the bracers as Bracers of Archery and informing Taggart of their ability to magically amplify the power of his bow shots.
Yellow walks back into the clearing with the final two stones she needed. She returns to the southwest corner, near Vyth and compares the various stones. She first selects the flattest of the seven and sets it aside. She then moves the three largest of the remaining six and places them in a triangle on the ground. She places the last three on top of the bottom three , creating an unfinished pyramid. Sitting down on the ground, she takes the dagger from her pack and begins scrapping the blade across the flattest surface of the first stone.
When Yellow is finished, a maze has been scratched into the surface of the stone. The lines are as crude as you'd imagine, having been scraped onto a piece of rough stone with a dagger, but the maze is recognizable. The Tabaxi places the last stone on top of the other six to finish the pyramid. She then positions Vyth's body so that he is lying on his back with his arms to his sides and his legs out straight. She begins moving the other bodies to the same spot in the clearing.
Any others of the party who would offer to help or help without offering, Yellow will not discourage it.
If asked, she will explain that she wants to perform last rites for the four followers of Ubtao, especially, but will include the other two as well, with the hopes that Ubtao will welcome them as well since they died on Chult.
As she is moving the bodies, if anyone is still removing weapons, etc., she would say that everything should be stripped before the rites are given, and that anything left on them should be left during and after the rites. If anything else should have been stripped prior, that can be said in time-travel fashion after this post.
She will voice that she is sorry they cannot be buried, but this is better than nothing.
The bodies are lined up side by side: First, Vyth, then the three warriors, then the archer and wizard with about half a man's width between the last of the three warriors and the archer. The pyramid is centered above Vyth and the three Ubtao-following warriors. She drags the point of her longsword along the ground in a line which starts at the pyramid and goes around the four. The line is not finished when she gets to the top; it continues around again, creating a rectangular spiral. She goes around a third time — this time, extending around the archer and wizard once, and then back to the main four and stopping at the pyramid.
Yellow stands behind the pyramid facing the four followers. She makes a small gesture with her hand and kisses her fingers toward the sky. Quietly, and with reverence, she speaks of the might of Ubtao. She speaks of the maze of life. She prays to Ubtao for the spirits of these four and then for the two who may have worshiped other gods. She then prays some specifically for Vyth, her brother whom she had just started to get to know. She remembers his strength and creativity. She remembers his exuberance and skill. She even chuckles a little when remembering his youth and naivete. She then prays that Ubtao will be merciful to these travelers of his maze as they meet him in the heavenly afterlife. She again makes a small gesture with her hand and kisses her fingers toward the sky before walking to the opposite corner of the clearing and sitting to wait.

Krav helped to move the bodies, cutting the straps off of their packs with his new greatsword and setting the packs to the side. He stepped back and watched the ceremony respectfully. Krav didn't really understand it, but that's okay, he thinks.
Assuming time left within the short rest, Krav slowly empties the dead men's and women's packs (though not Vyth's, wanting to avoid offending anyone there), looking for anything of use.
Seeing that there is nothing of great interest in the standard explorer's packs, Krav packs them back up again (not nearly as well as they were before), then spends the rest of the rest examining the sword, swinging it around out of range of the others in order to attune to its magic.

Intrigued by why somebody would wear a full-faced helm in the Chultuan heat, Kvothe wanders over to body of the warrior wearing the full faced helm and carrying the black shield and battleaxe. He bends down and using his dagger to prise open the helm he sees ....
As Yellow finishes the ceremony a small white light appears and follows the line across the ground in the order that Yellow made it and ends with a bright flash at the top of the pyramid. After a moment the light fades and you could feel Ubtao's presence for a moment and then it fades as well.
As you gather all the packs and dump them on the ground you notice each pack was the standard explorer pack contents in each which includes a backpack, a bedroll, a mess kit, a tinderbox, 10 torches, 10 days of rations, and a waterskin. The pack also has 50 feet of hempen rope strapped to the side of it. You also gather between all the bodies 246 gp, 473 sp, 892 cp.
No one can seem to find the key for that tome that Ezio found.
Are you searching/looking at any other items? Or are we done here?
Panwan looks around the group and smiles. "Are we setting up camp here? Or are we going to move on? "

You need to attune your weapon and it takes an hour before you can use any of its properties. Otherwise, it is a normal greatsword until it is attuned.

This is like a Dagger of Venom, except its a greatsword!
Remembering the bow Taggart was looking at also had runes inscribed on it, he approaches the man and offers to identify the weapon as well.
OOC: Assuming Taggart agrees, when Ezio casts the spell he identifies the bow as a Weapon, +1. It adds +1 to attack and damage rolls made with it.
