I assume the campsite is near the fire pit on the map.
Kvothe offers to take the middle watch. He clambers up to the plinth and settles down with his back close to the Statue’s left foot but out of a direct line from the Statue entrance. He regularly turns head to observe the jungle on both sides of the statue as well as frequently checking the statue entrance for any movement or sound out of the ordinary.
A death trap eh? I bet I could make it, after all, the trap that killed the others happens to be an element I have resistance to. Fire doesn't bother me too much.
Drita will continue to play the flute at the stairs. She seamlessly switches to a minor key and shake her head as she watches Khan ascend the stairs into the temple. Only a fool would travel, when others have warned him otherwise.
Taggart is intrigued by the temple, as an archeologist he is always wanting to learn about ancient places. He would like to use his historical knowledge archeological ability to recall who the builders were and what it’s original purpose was. He hasn’t decided to fully explore said temple just is trying to see what he know of it and it’s type.

Kaslo is about to warn Ahkmenos against going inside the temple, holds his tongue. "Good luck in there. I am going down to the river to fill water contains." Kaslo collects any water skins needed filled/topped up, and heads down to the river. Once there, he fills them from the river and performs his ritual Purify Food and Drink.

Yellow watches Ahkmenos enter the temple, then sees Kaslo purifying the water and rushes over to help him bring the water back to where everyone is gathered. "I appreciate all you and Krav do for the Order," Yellow says, "and for Chult. I know the Commander drafted you into service simply because you agreed to escort Whitehawk, er, Marcheon Undril, but you have acted with honor." She looks him in the eye and nods. "Thank you."
Later, she once again volunteers to take second watch.
You awoke to the sounds of thunder and heavy rains pouring down on you. Eku says it's safe to travel on the river in this weather for now and doesn't want to waste a day holed up at Camp Righteous. You make quick work of breakfast and head out for the morning. You make good time and by noon the rain tapers off and you now have full rain-catchers for tomorrows water intake.
The weather is pleasant after the rain and it's not so hot and humid today. The insects are out in full force though. It's a good thing you had on your insect repellent. Lunch consists of some caught fish and water and after another few hours of travel, you stop for the night. Eku informs you that your time is excellent and you should be in Port in another 6 days as long as things go your way.
Day Five of the Third Tenday
Approximately 5:52 pm
You spend most of the morning and afternoon traveling down the river, nothing really is happening much. The weather is hot and crappy and you are all sweating like pigs. You all smell of body sweat and your clothes are filthy. This part of the river has been getting shallower and more mud bars have been showing up and it's been slow going for the last two hours.
You come around a bend in the river and stranded on one of these mud bars is an overturned canoe. You see two oldish Chultan ladies next to a campfire. One of the ladies is laying on the ground and you can see blood-soaked bandages around her midsection while the other is cooking something over the campfire. You can hear the bloodied one moaning in pain while the other is trying to sooth her with comforting words and she is brewing something in a pot.
As you get closer the one woman stands up and begins to wave you over.
Kvothe from his position in the front of the barge peers closely at the two old ladies trying to determine if they really are what they seem. He turns to Yellow and says “hey Yellow, you’re the local - do these old biddies look legit to you?”
OOC: I'm assuming since the description was "oldish Chultan ladies" that at least Yellow sees them as such.
Yellow looks at Kvothe. "I think so, but let's be safe. Feel like a little flight? Get above us and make sure this isn't an ambush from something we can't see from here. But try to stay over these islands just in case." She turns to Taggart. "As soon as we land, get above us as well." She looks around at the others. "Let's not appear hostile, but be ready for anything." She then waves at the women and says, "Let's stop and see how we can help."
“Ok” says Kvothe. He shrugs off his leather duster unfurls his wings and takes off. He flies to a height of 45 feet and flies parallel to the barge 45 feet to the northwest as it closes on the island.
To Post 1969: Krav scowls and replies in Dwarvish.
"Well, we'll keep our weapons close, then, right!"
Today, this morning:
Krav applies insect repellent before packing up, eating a light meal of rations.
To Post 1973: Krav grimaces.
"Disgusting," he mutters.
To Post 1977: Krav nods.
"Yes, and some of our party decided to explore that temple while we slept," he tells Yellow.
"Some trap turned them into ash. Fools!" he says with a frown, but his mouth quivers a bit and he looks away.
Present:
"Careful," Krav warns everyone.
"That place is a death trap."
He bows his head, saying something to himself, then helps to set up camp.
And that's all I have to say about that.

I want to go in who's with me?
Krav grins wolfishly at Ahkmenos.
"You go in if you wish. I will not come with you."
And that's all I have to say about that.
Suit yourself, anyone else interested?

She eats some rations and goes to sleep.

Wow you were right, I think I found where your friends died. Nothing was there but I got burnt pretty bad.
