"I agree with all of us going to Camp Vengeance. I would rather not split the party up. We made an agreement with to take her there, and we should honor that agreement."
Kaslo eats some breakfast, drinks some water and applies insect salve for the day.
Zachariah catches Zee's elbow as she turns to walk away. She stops and looks back, and he immediately releases her, smiling a smile of surprise. He speaks back to her in the same beautiful, but strange language before noticing a few others are watching them curiously. "I am blessed that Yahweh has healed me," he says in Common. "He has seen fit to give me another day to praise his name. While I am unworthy of his blessings, he keeps blessing me over and over. I pray that I am following the path he has for me by being in Chult. And if he sees fit to use me to minister to you," he motions to the party members near them, "to these brave brothers," and then back at Zee, "and to others who call this island home, then that is what I will do with all my heart." His face then drops a little and he looks at Zee with concern. He says another sentence in the beautiful language before touching her lightly on the arm and then walking away.
Greggor packs up his tent and helps load supplies back into the skiff, thinking of the story Thor shared of his benevolent warrior god. Greggor will position himself near Thor, continuing to ask questions of mighty Tempus.
"Tempus seeks nut to harm undeserving... vhat of dose dat deserve punishment?"

Tome of Annihilation: Greggor - Level 1 Human (Variant) Fighter
After your breakfast and discussions on what to do for the day, you finally head out on the River Soshenstar. You travel all morning without any mishaps and the guides engage in small talk with the party. Undril explains more about the Order of the Gauntlet and why they came to the jungles of Chult. The undead armies that have been in Chult is a blight on mankind and the order feels it is their solemn duty to destroy them. The Order feels they are needed here in Chult above all else because of the undead and if the source of the undead armies isn't found they fear the undead may somehow escape Chult and endanger the rest of the world. Undril suspects that this death curse has to be related to the endless undead that has been roaming the jungles. It can't be a coincidence she feels. Undril asks the party about their mission and what they know so far and if they have any opinions or ideas on the subject.
Zee keeps silent most of the time on the canoe and you can see her looking into the jungle frequently. She looks worried but says nothing. At one point during the canoe ride, she mumbles something in a language no one understands and raises her hand above her head. With a flash of light, a small map of Chult appears. It looks to be the location of where you are in the river. About a hex away there are dark clouds above the river. It looks like rain is falling from the clouds. She mentions to no one in particular that rain is a day away but it doesn't look to be a bad storm so they shouldn't have to seek shelter and lose any time of travel.
Eku spends the morning engaging in conversation with the party about whatever crosses their minds. She answers most questions distractedly as she keeps an eye out, looking for danger in all directions.
As you cross a bend in the river you can see up ahead some large trees have fallen, blocking the way forward. Eku and Zee bring the boats to the shore about 30 feet from the fallen trees.
"It looks like we must travel on foot for awhile unless you wish to spend some time clearing the blockage," Eku says to the party.
Are we able to carry the boats and move them around the trees?
Eku looks at you confused. "Would you prefer to leave the boats here and walk the rest of the way? Yes, we can carry the boats through the jungle, it would make things more difficult for us but it can be done."
Zee shakes her head. "it's not that simple."She points to where the trees fell down." We have to go around this area. It is too thick to get the boats through there. We have to enter the jungle and walk with the boats until we can find a path to go back to the river."
“Eku, do you suspect any foul play with this river blockage? Should we bother investigating it? I’ve help free up log jams before, but none this large or in such a hospitable river”
Eku shrugs. 'Will it matter the outcome of our decision if you investigate? We have three choices right now. Go back the way we came and forget everything. Move the trees or go around them. If we choose to go around it and enter the jungle, even if it was an ambush you should always be prepared to get attacked while in the jungle. If you're not then you will not make it out of the jungle. If you wish to investigate be my guest."
The way Eku talks you kind of get the feeling she is not worried about most things in the jungle. It doesn't mean she will help the party in any way but you feel she is more than capable of defending herself in any situation.
"How many days out from Camp Vengeance are we? We could always pull the boats ashore and leave them here. Yes, we run the risk of walking back to Port Nyanzaru"
Thor applies his insect salve and sips on some water.

"On foot, we are 12 days away from Camp Vengeance, by boat we are six days away," Eku responds.
At Eku’s response, Kalso is going to cautiously investigate the jam, with anyone else who wants to join him.
Investigation: 2
You make your way over to the jam and look for any signs of foul play. You don't really notice much and can't tell if the trees were cut or somehow fell on their own.
SInce it looks like there is agreement to continuing with Undril, Vart applies more insect salve and starts to pack the boats.

Alright, then that's what I sugest we do. We can just walk around the trees and put the boats back in the water when we finish.

Alright that's fine. Worse case scenario, we'll have to drop the boats and keep going.

I think it'll be best if we go through the jungle.
