The four guards near Vyth get entangled in the vines and brush holding them in place.

Vyth tries to bite the captain but the captain dodges to the side avoiding Vyth's deadly jaws. 19 Saving throw He follows up with a stab to the leg Attack: 9 Damage: 7. He continues to move around Vyth and slashes his longsword across his back Attack: 7 Damage: 11 and reverses the swing for another try. Attack: 16 Damage: 10 Vyth's back begins to bleed badly as he falls to the ground unconcious.

Once the guards see Vyth cast a spell that trapped the four guards near him in vines the Guards in the tower turn and pull the trigger on their heavy crossbows. Four bolts come flying at Vyth from above.

Attack: 21 Damage: 10 First Bolt

Attack: 9 Damage: 6 Second Bolt

Attack: 5 Damage: 7 Third Bolt

Attack: 11 Damage: 3 The Fourth Bolt hits Vyth while he is unconcious (Failed one death save, This happened all at the same time. Normally they wouldn't shoot a person unconcious.)

Someone yells for the Sister Cyas while this is happening. A Moment later Sister Cyas comes running out of the infirmary and scowls at Firebeard as she bends down and bandages Vyth's wounds to stop the bleeding. "You know better Captain. I don't have time for this." She gets up and hurries back to the tent.

The vines dissolve back into the ground once Vyth falls to the ground. The shackle him in chains around his hands and feet that are connected to a large iron belt they put around his waist and drag him to the cell where they lock him away.

Captain Firebeard looks towards Krav. "I am sorry you were violated under our care. Justice will be swift. I assure you." Firebeard flings the blood of Vyth off his sword onto the ground and stomps away leaving you guys to yourselves. 

Once the battle is over the guards move on leaving everyone alone for the time being. 

A blue skinned Air Genasi stands from the fire.  He is wearing studded leather armor and has a scimitar strapped to his side.  He is loosely holding a light crossbow that when viewed from the corner of your eye almost appears to have a bluish/white glow around it.  Turning his head he addresses the newcomers.  "These are hard, serious men who do not tolerate anyone breaking their rules.  My new friends, I would advise you to keep your noses clean.  You might have volunteered to help bring one of their order here, but consider yourselves conscripted with the rest of us to aid in a mission to earn our freedom and repay them for their hospitality."

Yellow hisses as Vyth's spell entangles her. She draws a javelin, ready for a command to attack.

 In the future you just make another save each round. That's what most spells in 5E do now. Save each round to remove the effect

Kaslo shakes his head in disgust and bewilderment at what just happened.

"Krav, I shall meet up with ye later. I am going to see what's going on in the infirmary." And with that, Kaslo follows after Sister Cyas.

Bewildered, Krav straps his axe to his belt and walks to the cooking fire.

Yellow walks up to Taggart. "Interesting company you've brought into the camp," she says sarcastically. "I hope this isn't the type of help you and the Elf are planning to contribute to the mission."

"Yellow, if he survives the justice to come, I would be wary of him as a traveling companion on the mission.  He would probably flee and run at the first opportunity at best, at worst could cause harm to befall us all.  I will follow your lead, but wanted to voice my concerns."

"You two," Yellow says, motioning toward Krav and Thor. Her mood seems to have brightened somewhat after the incident with Vyth. "Join Taggart and myself at the fire. I'd like to hear more about your adventure with the Whitehawk."

She leads the three males to the fire Ezio and Eku did not go to. "My name is Yellow on the Sea. I'm a Chevall with the Order of the Gauntlet. That means I'm low man on the totem pole," she says with a slight smile. She grabs up a dino steak with her bare paw and begins eating. "So, what's the Whitehawk like?" she asks about Undril. "Commander Breakbone doesn't have a very high opinion of her."

Krav shrugs, digging into the offered food.

”So what brings you all into our humble jungle?  I was here with a group looking for some way to stop the curse and save my family when my party was attacked and most were lost.  The Order here found and saved me so I’m indebted to them currently.  I’m an archeologist by trade so I’m truly at home trapsing around jungle ruins, maybe you all know some or passed some on your way here you could show me?  I’m always looking to uncover and share the past.”  Taggart winks at the newcomers  “welcome to the order”

As you head over and sit near the fire with Yellow and grab some food to eat, Captain Firebeard comes out of the command tent and you notice Eku enter the tent. From where you are you can't hear anything being said but about 2 minutes later Eku walks out of the tent with her head held high as she walks towards the fire where everyone is sitting.

"Hello Chevall Yellow by the Sea, I am Eku." She looks at Taggart and smiles. "And you are?" 

As Eku begins to do introductions a soldier comes running passed dragging Captain Firebeard with him to the command tent. You can hear some arguing from inside the tent (No check will help you hear what they actually say so don't ask :-) ) Captain Perne Salhana, wearing her splint armor and carrying her Greataxe in both hands, exits the command tent. Her long red braid swishing back and forth like a Tabaxi tail and a grim expression on her face. She walks over to the fire and looks at Yellow.

"Chevall, You will come with me please.'"

She looks over at Eku with awe and bows. 

Yellow gives Taggart a withering look before standing. "Yes, Captain," she says less than enthusiastically.

Captain Salhana gives Eku one more bow. Eku dismisses her with her hand like she was an annoying gnat. 

"Come Chevall, we have business to do." Captain Salhana says as she heads over to the watchtower. "You know our laws Chevall. What happens when a thief is caught stealing?"

You get to the front of the Watchtower and the four guards are standing there watching the unconscious prisoner.   "Open the cell."

One of the guards salutes as he pulls a key from under his shirt and opens the lock. Salhana runs her thumb over the blade of her ax, pleased with the cut that appears as blood drips to the ground. 

Undril walks out of the command tent and heads over to the cell where Vyth is being held. A few soldiers begin to head over there as well. Undril has her holy symbol out and she is praying to Torm for guidance. 

Captain Salhana nods to Undril when she enters the cell and Yellow notices that she has been demoted from Whitehawk. Undril clasps her holy symbol tighter and nods. "I am ready Captain."

Salhana hands Yellow the Greataxe. "You do know our laws correct? If someone s caught stealing within the Orders boundaries or from someone under the Orders protection then that persons stealing hand become forfeit. Chop off his hand Chevall." 

Captain Salhana kneels down on Vyth's arm, keeping it straight so Yellow can get at the hand with the ax.

Yellow takes the axe and looks at the unconscious Vyth. "Captain Salhana," she says slowly, "we are the Order of the Gauntlet," she says as if reciting. "We enforce justice. We enact retribution against evil actions. And we believe punishing an evil act is just." The Chevall pauses, looking at the axe and then at her Captain. Her face is stony and passive. "Captain, this Chultan made a very poor choice. But I believe his intent was born out of curiosity and not malice. Not evil. I do not believe he truly intended to keep the items he discovered."

Captain Salhana looks into your eyes and nods. "You really think so Chevall?" she says in a soft voice. "You think he made a poor choice and we should just send him on his merry way?"

Her eyes turn ice cold and you can see no emotions on her face when she pulls out her handaxe. "I didn't think you had it in you. Guards arrest her for Failure to follow a direct order and Insubordination." She chops down with the ax and cuts Vyth's left hand off. 

Undril bends down and says a prayer to Torm as her hands glow a soft yellow before she touches Vyth's wrist and the wound begins to close up, stopping the bleeding. 

"Drop the ax Yellow." Captain Salhana says as she stands up with the handaxe ready for action. She puts her other hand down on her longsword as the four guards outside get ready for any action. 

Yellow drops the axe and lifts her hands to show submission.
