Yellow blinks at the captain. "I was told the captains know the specifics. What, specifically, is he wanting? And do you have a sack? I understood we were just throwing the tribute overboard. It was never explained to me that we'd need a sack." For some reason, Yellow sounds really pissed off — like she had attempted very specifically to find out exactly how this was going to go down and was told she already knew all the information ... and yet she doesn't.
Drita chuckles at Yellow a little, "A sack is the least of our worries, Yellow. We can use one of mine. As for how much we put in there... I dont have an answer to that problem."Drita pulls out one of her sacks, takes out some of the rations and bait and tackle she was keeping in it to put into another sack. She puts 25Gp in. "Here I got us started off. 25 gold, anyone else?" She holds her hands and the open sack out looking around to the rest of the party.
"Let's put in 200," Yellow says, seeming to cool down almost instantaneously. When Drita gives her a questioning look, she shrugs. "I have a feeling. Maybe from Ubtao." The tabaxi makes a small gesture with her hand and kisses her fingers toward the sky. She then reaches out and takes the sack from her companion. Reaching in, she extracts the gold and hands it back to Drita. "I know you have gold to spare right now, but let the Order pay its own debts. I got gold for this very purpose." Yellow walks over to the side of the boat facing the giant turtle and holds up the sack and a handful of gold. Raising her voice, she says, "200 gold!" She deliberately puts 200 pieces of gold into the sack, making sure the movements are as obvious as possible. She cinches closed the sack and tosses it overboard.
Kaslo, not having any sea legs, looks rather uncomfortable and on the verge of throwing up. He stands near the main mast, holding onto any piece of rigging he can get a firm grip on.

Aremeg watches as Yellow puts the gold in the sack and shows it to him. You would think he is smiling if a giant death dealing turtle actually smiled as the sack of gold begins to sink under the sea. After about a moment Aremeg begins to sink under the waves as the gold did and it takes about 10 minutes for the waters to settle before it is safe once again to travel.
I'll make a more detailed post in a bit. Just wanted to say you did it on you're on your way. 250 xp for everyone.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Drita will go over to the edge of the boat with her fishing gear. You see her fumbling and looking very confused. She eventually casts a line, but it ends up tangled up in the reel. She eventually sorts everything out and casts again. She looks around to see if anyone was watching, she acts as if no one noticed and there was nothing wrong to begin with.

As Aremeg sinks back down into the bay Captain Swift and her crew works fast to get the Brazen Pegasus out of the area and on course towards Jahaka Bay. The first day goes by without incident and you are making good time. The crew seems to be in good spirits and the Captain is drunk by 5 pm. As the sun sets over the horizon you see something you haven't seen in a long time being in the jungle. The picture is breathtaking.
You eat a quick meal with the crew and fall asleep under a tarp set up in the aft of the ship.
It goes on like this for two weeks: wake up, eat, watch the sunset, eat, sleep. The Captain spends time with you each day telling tall tales about various seaports and cities she's been to with the crew and other various things. Nothing important but just idle chit-chat to past the time away.
Finally, the Brazen Pegasus begins to slow and the Captain comes out of her cabin on the 21st day of sailing. She drops you off about a day away on foot from the pirate's lair and hands Krav a flare gun. "Just shoot this when you want to get picked up."
Day 1 of the 6th tenday
Approximately 6 am
You make your way through the jungle following the directions Captain Swift gave you and come across the lair of the three pirate kings finally.
Jungle Gate
The narrow strip of land between the cliff and the water is closed off by a 15-foot-high wall made of thick palm logs lashed together with stout vines. Their bottoms are set into the ground, and the whole wall is braced up along the inner side with more palm logs. The wall is meant to keep out undead and dinosaurs. The gates are roughly made but reinforced with iron bands and backed by two heavy wooden bars.
During the trip you had a fishing contest and Krav won (he got 30xp for his troubles)
Think if we say pretty please and ask nicely they will give back your stuff? Probably not eh? We don’t have much intel around here, might be worth waiting for nightfall and having Kvothe scope then out?

"I suggest we try to sneak in under the cover of darkness, or we try to negotiate with them. Outright attacking this fort seems like a bad idea. I don't suppose anyone brought any eye patches?"
In response to Kvothe, "My illusions only work on myself, sorry." With an incantation his skin and clothing take on a a camouflaged color that blends well to the jungle, "I can help scouting on the ground, but it's not something I'm all that good at, and the air would definitely give us better info."
Turning to Kaslo he says, "Same with the eyepatches." Another incantation and shadows shift around him once again and in his place is a replica of Kaslo with an awesome eyepatch, a triple strapped thing. "I can blend in, though I'd need to learn more about these pirates before I try to impersonate one. It would be ideal if we could find a small group of them out here, away from the fort, to question before tackling that thing; by diplomacy or otherwise. A hunting party maybe? Doubt they would have security patrols, doesn't seem like a pirate thing to do, but if any of the leaders were ex mercs, they just might." He says looking towards the walls.
The ramshackle watchtower stands 30 feet above “dry” land. It’s surrounded by a crenelated parapet that provides half cover to defenders. A ballista is also mounted on the tower. It can be used against vessels intruding in the anchorage, but it’s primarily for defense against large reptiles threatening the jungle wall. Two pirates are always on duty atop the tower.
Three pirate ships use Jahaka Anchorage as a haven: the Dragonfang, the Emerald Eye, and the Stirge.
Only one pirate ship is docked at the anchorage at any given time. A second ship rides at anchor outside the harbor up to a mile away, ready to defend the anchorage. The third ship is always at sea, usually prowling for victims.
The anchorage is sheltered inside a sea cave. It’s damp and echoing, but at least the cave keeps out the daily rain. The pirates outfitted it with a pier and a ramshackle fort built from scavenged planking, old barrels, deck grates, spars, and whatever else they could scrounge.
The roof of the cave looms 60 feet above the water, on average (this varies a bit with the tide). It’s 50 feet above ground level and 20 feet above the top of the watch tower and gantry. Two natural stone columns sit across the mouth of the inlet with only a 25-foot gap between them, so that ships must be carefully towed into the cave by small boats and maneuvered with ropes once they’re inside.
Thanks to its sheltered position and the perpetual mist in the bay, the cave is difficult to find unless a person knows where to look.
As you watch the camp you do see two pirates in the watchtower constantly. Every now and then one goes to the Balistta and aims it in your direction but he never shoots. It looks like he is just aiming it int he direction of the jungle. Settling down you do see many blood stains and dinosaur tracks on the ground all around you.
You see the one pirate ship anchored in the bay and there is a pirate up in the crows nest at all times watching in a 360' arc. You notice pirates on the ship now and then as well but they are far off and it is harder to see them.
As for inside the fort you really don't see any pirates except the ones in the watch tower.
"I don't know," Yellow says, shaking her head. "I think our best bet might be to stay here until dark, see if there's any land travel in or out, and then try to overtake the ship (the one we can see) under the cover of darkness." She looks around a bit uncertainly to see what the others think. "When we take the ship, we'll be able to see better what is going on behind that wall."
Drita looks at the party. "I agree with Yellow. It is the best plan of action, but what if we approached them seeking refuge? It might be a good way to get inside the fort without looking like attackers?"

"It may come to a more direct approach," Yellow agrees. "Seeking refuge is one option. Another ..." she says, taking a big breath, "is seeking a trade. I could be your prisoner. Obviously, they have it out for the Order since they've been intercepting their ships. If you were a party who had captured your own Order member and was seeking to trade me for something, that might be more interesting to them."

And that's all I have to say about that.

Krav looks at the others with a slight grin.
"Think they eat anything besides fish?" he asks, not too loud. He reaches up to the hilt of his sword, now strapped to his back, but doesn't draw it.
"Humph. So, what's our plan?" he asks after a moment, looking at Yellow and Kaslo.
And that's all I have to say about that.
"Yeah what's our plan" Kvothe repeats also looking Yellow and Kaslo.
