By the heavy clomp, sound of metal on metal, and shifting of the purple light, there's a good chance it signifies the construct responding to Gilbert's less than stealthy efforts.

Giving Dain a smile, Trencher shakes the man's hand. "Good to have you back. Not entirely sure what we will find inside here, yet, so good to have another pair of hands to help."
After pausing a moment he states, "I assume the clerk told you that we signed up for this job. I hope he didn't tell too many people what we were up to, though."
Gilbert steps out of the blood, looking for a clean place to sit, scrapping his paw clean as best he can. Finding a clean space, he sits on his haunches and Tandor examines the purple glow, trying to discern the source and what it might signify?
"Gilbert's been detected, I think. I'll try to find him a place hide, see what's coming," Tandor tells the others, eyes still unfocused. Back in the room he casts about for a place to hide.
"Heya, Dain! Good to see you. Don't suppose you've been off learning about magical constructs of late?"
Mialee starts walking around the lab, trying to get an eye in the back window to see what's up from a different vantage point- specifically hoping to get a peek at the engine and the construct.

"first off, splendid to have you back at last, Dain. Second off, i can try and detect the magical signatures in there, and maybe find the recharging device. if it turns ugly, the least we can do is ensure the construct cannot repair itself."
"Welcome back Dain, we had some troubles at the market but all fixed, now hoping to disable a construct without destroying it so the Smith's guild can recover it and it's masters body."

Dain Ironfist's eyes crinkled at the corners as he offered a warm smile in response to Trencher's greeting. He clasped the fellow dwarf's hand firmly, appreciating the camaraderie. "Good to be back, Trencher," he replied, his deep voice carrying a sense of reassurance. "I've been itching for a new challenge, and it sounds like we have one here." He nodded in understanding at Trencher's concern about secrecy. "Don't worry; I made sure to keep our business discreet. The folks at the Smith's guild sent me in the right direction without revealing too much." As Tandor mentioned Gilbert's situation, Dain couldn't help but feel a surge of caution. He quickly gave his owl familiar a mental command, sending it back along the hall to keep watch and report any approaching threats. Mialee's greeting brought a twinkle to Dain's steel-blue eyes. "Greetings, Mialee," he said with a hint of playfulness. "And indeed, I've delved into the intricacies of magical constructs during my absence. I'm eager to see what we're dealing with here." As Liber offered his insights, Dain nodded approvingly. "An excellent plan, Liber," he replied, acknowledging the dragonborn's strategic thinking. "Let's ensure that we leave no chance for that construct to rebuild itself." Mixtli's update on their recent activities at the market prompted Dain to give a thoughtful nod. "It's good to hear that you handled the market troubles, Mixtli," he said, his voice filled with confidence in his team. "Now, let's work together to disable the construct without causing undue destruction. The Smith's guild will appreciate our efforts."
Gilbert sees a bookshelf near a bench that he's pretty certain he can leap and scramble on top of, and flattening himself against the top, but out of view from anything down below.
Mialee spots windows, but it seems that the researcher may have been cautious about folks peeking in on her work, they seem to be merely translucent, and not easily seen through. She'd need to find a way up to them if she wanted to test their ability to be opened.
Dain's owl flies overhead, but doesn't spot any trouble.

Tandor, after a bit of a delay, receives assurance from Gilbert that he's in place. There is a mild sense of annoyance, but it's quickly squashed and he doesn't want to talk about it.

When Trencher hears Dain, like the others before, mention about not totally destroying the construct, he grimaces a bit, wondering exactly how he is going to be able to help out much without causing too much harm.
He tries to think back to his training, using disabling fighting, rather than deadly force, and trying to decide if that type of style will work on a construct.
Trencher is at least heartened by the thought that a metal construct can probably take a bit more of a beating than a fleshy opponent. He is reminded of a grappling contest he once took part in, where the other fellow nearly got him to give in by getting his arm pinned in such a way that the thought his elbow was going to bend the wrong way... at least until his anger kicked in. Not sure wrestling a construct that mopped the lab floor with a crew of toughs is the best idea though.
The wall is stone, and could be climbable, though it would make it tough to cling to the wall and try to open the window. The gaps in the stone may be enough to gently set a piton in and give herself a bit more of a foothold.

"Dain," the cleric says, noticing the dwarf for the first time as he climbs to his feet. He keeps his voice low but does nothing else to hide his excitement at seeing their old companion. "good to see you again! Glad you're with us on this one."
Tandor gives a brief synopsis of what he related before, to make sure everyone is on the same page then, including where he left Gilbert, then, "So, anyone got any idea for the next step.?"
