Rel clears his throat and begins, "Ahoy there... I am Captain Relonius. This ship has been legally claimed as salvage by the Defense Forces of Toril. According to the Laws of the Astral plane as detailed in the Shadow Proclamation, please cease and desist what you are doing and leave this ship immediately."

The insectile automatons turn to menace you with rotating saws that extend from their forelimbs. One says to another, [in Thri-kreen,]"Look, Unit Zero-One, it is our saviours!"
"Yes," says the other to Rel and Gloix, "Thank you, organics, for the gift of the spelljamming interface. Such a pity you will not live long enough for Unit Zero-Four to thank you personally!"
[Yep, that's time to roll Initiative! Enemy initiative: 5. Also, did anyone else come through the hatch with Rel and Gloix?]
(Are there any loose stones or other similar objects around Roy?)
[Oops, sorry, missed this. Yes, especially after that spin trap, there's definitely some bits of debris lying around. And if you want to do something that isn't a direct attack before initiative starts, go ahead (a direct attack will happen on your turn in initiative)]

Erma was standing close by, but not moving to not cause any noise. If the noises turn aggressive inside then she will definitely follow the others inside.

Zaius follows Rel and Gloix into the chamber, ready to provide support to the pair when needed. He studies the three creatures intently, trying to identify them and determine if he had come across them in his studies at the academy. Even if he doesn't hear the conversation with the creatures, he can tell from the Captain's reaction that trouble is ahead and prepares himself. Initiative: 16.
Zaius recalls hearing about these "clockwork horrors": ruthless killing machines with the singular goal of constructing more of themselves. They don't feel pity, or remorse, or fear, and they absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead.

Rel gulps as the metal Thri-keen refuse to leave and declare hostile intent. Then a thought strikes him. His old music teacher, on one of the days he wasn't whacking Rel with a baton for each mistake in fingering a chord or singing a high note, this teacher showed him a trick. "Every physical object has a vibration, a frequency, a unique note that will excite it. If exposed to this note for too long, the object can vibrate so much that it will crack orshatter." The master had them demonstrated by voicing a high note and holding it until the two wine glasses on his desk spontaneously broke apart.
Rel grabs his pan-flute, and desperately tries to remember the technique his old master showed him, projecting a dissonant note to the space just north of Clockwork 3 (hope this gets all three of them).
A sudden loud ringing noise, painfully intense, erupts from a point of your choice within range. Each creature in a 10-foot-radius sphere centered on that point must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw. A creature takes 7 thunder damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. A creature made of inorganic material such as stone, crystal, or metal has disadvantage on this saving throw.
A nonmagical object that isn't being worn or carried also takes the damage if it's in the spell's area.
(OOC how odd... I put "3d8" into the damage in the spoiler, but when I hover over it, it shows something different. Dunno what happened. We can use that number or I can reroll in the game log if you prefer.)
You can see the creatures' metal casings deform slightly as the sonic attack ripples across them; while it leaves no visible mark after the wave passes, that can't have been good for their internal structures...

Zaius cringes as Rel hits a high note, then calls out to the others “I remember hearing about these back at the academy, there is no use talking with them, they will not stop until we are dead or they are.” Zaius moves forward 15 feet and slashes at Clockwork 3 with his scimitar, seeing how the blade strikes against the metal creature.
Attack: 18 Damage: 6.

(Gloix?)
[Let's assume Gloix will play interpreter, translating your words to the creatures and vice versa.]
Rel and Gloix [and anyone else that wants to] climb through to the hollow deck, and Rel addresses the creatures:
(Are there any loose stones or other similar objects around Roy?)
Oriovar - Wood Elf Cleric (1) - Sword Coast Campaign
Roy Quigley - Human Artificer (1) - Karrion's Spelljammer Academy Starboard
Rel clears his throat and begins, "Ahoy there... I am Captain Relonius. This ship has been legally claimed as salvage by the Defense Forces of Toril. According to the Laws of the Astral plane as detailed in the Shadow Proclamation, please cease and desist what you are doing and leave this ship immediately."

(Also, it seems likely Rel will need an Initiative roll: 21 )

(initiative: 10 for whenever it's needed)
Roy selects 3 stones each weighting between 1 and 5 pounds prior to Rel and Gloix entering the chamber.
Initiative: 17

[Make an Arcana check to see if you know anything about these things.]
[I haven't heard from Gloix in a while, so I'll run him as a DMPC for the moment (unless someone else want to do so?). Gloix initiative: 4]
[I've brought Roy over to the hollow deck too, just to keep things easy. Veena stays back on the command deck, the coward.]
[The crew is up first! Rel, Erma, Roy and Zaius, technically in that order if any of your actions depend on it.]
Zaius Arcana check: 16.
(I will wait and post my action a little closer to my turn in the order)

[Yeah I've seen that happen a bunch; afaik the 10 should be correct, it's the tooltip that's wrong. Con saves: 1: 6, 2: 5, 3: 19]
[oops, forgot the disadvantage. da for 3: 7]
You can see the creatures' metal casings deform slightly as the sonic attack ripples across them; while it leaves no visible mark after the wave passes, that can't have been good for their internal structures...
[Next is Erma, Roy then Zaius]
