Once his transaction is down Gloix moves to stand aside to make room for others. To Rel's question he nods and has his voice project into their head, "I believe so, yes"
Zaius squints his face like he is trying to remember something and pulls a crumpled piece of paper from his pocket, the activity checklist given to them at the administration desk. “I think we are supposed to go to the docks for a ship inspection.”He looks at the paper “We were supposed to go there before the storeroom. I hope we are not too late. Shall we head that way next?”He looks over to his new crew.
Rel looks around and says, "I'm full of nervous energy... let's go use some of that up at the gymnasium, and then I can pay attention better as we go through the ship inspection."
“On second thought, I don’t think we have to follow this paper in order, and the gym sounds like a lot more fun than a stuffy old ship inspection.” He shoves the crumpled piece of paper back in his pocket. “Let’s go see what our new toys will do in the assault course.”
As you pass through the cadet quarters level, a magical voice announces: “All purple rank security officers report to the Sky Dock for docking inspection.” This doesn't seem to apply to you, so you ignore it.
No sooner have you entered the gymnasium—a large open space carved into the rock of the island, which can be magically reconfigured for a variety of physical activities, and is currently set up with an obstacle course—than you face your first challenge: make a straight dash through the first station. A task that would be easy if there weren't extremely loud (and, you hope, illusory) explosions going off at irregular intervals within the field.

Xavier looks at the incredible course, in awe. What these people can do is incredible. It was pretty scary, but he reminded himself that it was illusory. Hopefully. So he sprinted across, arms trailing behind him.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
A big grin spreads across his face as Zaius takes in the obstacle course snaking its way around the gym. “Now this looks like fun!” He tries to time the explosions going off around the first station, then sprints to move forward as fast as he can. CON save: 6.
[Sorry for the low post rate at the moment, I'm experiencing corporate-IT-department-induced technical difficulties. Normal service will resume as soon as possible.]
Rel runs out onto the field but a concussive blast to his right pushes him to the side and he puts a foot out of bounds. A whistle sounds and an academy attendant directs him back the to start to try again.
Roy and Xavier dash easily across the field. Zaius follows, timing his run carefully, and is almost knocked off his feet by an explosion behind him, but keeps his footing and makes it to the other side. Looking ahead, Roy can see three more obstacles in the course; the next seems to involve jumping between levitating platforms, the third swinging from ropes, and the last climbing a tall pole.
[Still looking for a Con save from Enarie and Gloix; I'll give it another 24 hours and then roll for them to keep us moving.]
Enarie makes it across but Gloix runs to close to an explosion and is knocked on his carapace. Like Rel, he is directed back to the start of the obstacle.
[Rel and Gloix, try again on the DC10 Con save]
The second obstacle looms in front of Roy, Xavier, Zaius and Enarie. As Roy saw, it involves jumping between a series of platforms; what he couldn't see until you get to it is that the platforms are levitating above a pool of water, across the surface of which you can see arcing blue lines of electricity.

[You can do the checklist in any order, fyi. I think I've heard one vote for the sky dock and a couple for the gym, anyone else want to weight in?]
Roy gathers his gear from the autognome and waits for the group to reach a consensus on what to do next.

Rel's jaw drops. "Whoa..... This is so cool!" Steeling his nerves, he sprints across the first station, trying to avoid the concussive blasts.
