Peeling away the wet bandages and applying the new ones in a way reminded me of the desert snake, of how it sheds its old skin to trade for a new one: an ever enduring symbol of renewal, of death and rebirth. Like the snake I felt as one reborn, comfortable in the new layer of skin I had wrapped around me. After sufficiently tightening the straps and tucking away any loose ends, I reemerged from the shadows to take my place in the light. I did still pull my cloak around me with the hood down: not all things have yet earned their place in the sun.
With nothing of my own devices left to do, I elected to simply wait for the others to finish up their business. Hopefully we could quickly move onto the sphinxes and their related problems. For while I was loathe to admit it, the situation regarding Osiris' scythe had me worried and mayhaps even frightened that it was beyond the scope of my abilities at the present.
Correni goes to object, then stumbles as the ground below him shakes, causing him to fall back into a pile of clothes. He sulkily gets up, brushing himself off.
"I assume you did that?" he says nonchalantly, trying to hide the unmistakable tremor of fear in his voice. "Take the items then. I know better than to mess with the queen's guards."

You return to the others, Rohar newly decked out in fine clothes, her sash especially striking against the torch light of the merchant's tents. She isn't the only one with new attire - Rashaken wears fresh, clean bandages. Other shoppers shoot inquisitive glances as they pass by, after all, you are a strange group of individuals, who don't seem to be doing any shopping at the moment. A few of the common people nod to Yurime as they pass - previous patients that she has treated.

"Hey Three. Be carefull with that scythe, it looks like the scythe from the story of Osiris's death. And if that is true, it has a curse that causes any and all corpses within 50 feet of it to become undead, and hostile to anyone nearby." Said nervously while walking south towards the desert.
"So, uh... are... are we all good to go?" Yurime asks pretentiously as Rohar and Three return. "We're still heading towards the location of the Sphinxes right? Unless if there's something equally horrendous that we need to take care of..." She's still being cautious about not getting her cover blown with her new disguise and is easily getting distracted by all of the people that visited her temple previously giving their warmest regards.

Again! A scythe! And Osiris? What on earth is everyone ta--All of a sudden, she instantly catches a glimpse at the weapon that's inscribed with runes that are the same, crimson colour as blood. The runes inscribed on it, plus Khaddim's recent comment made her gulp. If what the Half-orc said was true, then it may have the potential to cause mass destruction should it be at the wrong place at the wrong time. Yet there was something that Yurime thought she felt when staring at it for a brief second. Something that she thought she vaguely recognised about it rather than it being another one of her haunting memories. The scythe seemed so unsettling to her that, if anyone were to touch her right now, she would be trembling like a vibrating phone. Religion: 11 (Game log)
Yurime remembers the myth clearly - she's heard the story once before, by El Dsri ministers sent to pray to the dying in hospitals. The idea that the scythe could be the same one in the story is a horrifying thought.

All of a sudden, Yurime's foggy memories of the fabled myth becomes clear once again. She clasps her hands to her mouth and let off a silent gasp as her glossy, crimson lips couldn't comprehend at what she just saw. N-n-no way! That's... Is that... the s-s-same scythe that the El Dsri prayers were talking about?! The one weapon that brings ruin instead of life? No wonder why Osiris, the god of the afterlife, was brought up! I thought it was all a hoax! The scythe looks almost exactly like how the ministers described to her whilst she was healing and comforting the injured over at one of the many hospitals in Aldhahab. This uneasy feeling prompted her to stay 5ft behind everyone else as she prepares to start walking with them through the vast dunes towards their destination.

"So hey, Im confused... are we going to the sphinxes, or should we try to find this sword looking thing?" She sees the fear in Yurime, she saw alarm in Three when he first saw the picture, and even the big Half-Orc seems nervous abvout it. "Maybe we should find and deal with that knife first huh?"

'I would say the sphinxes first.' I stashed the now empty box away in my backpack. Perchance I could have some use for it later. 'We know where those are and how to get to them, whilst finding this scythe currently would be akin to finding a specific grain of sand in the desert.'
I hoised my back onto my shoulders and straightened my back to settle it. It would be a long walk. 'The sphinxes are wise and knowledgeable. They may provide more insight on this matter.'I glanced at the others from underneath the cloth. 'If we manage to persuade them to indulge said information, that is.'
