Moss as you move you see weird images in the fog. But since the DC is 1 lol they quickly vanish.At the end of your movement you still see nothing.

Fog is up. The Visability drops to 5 ft.

I went prone, if no change, I'm back up.

Eyes straining into the fog, Aino carefully moves her full 40' movement towards Kileprat's yell if she can hear it.  Coming to a stop if she is within 5' of someone she can see.  Tapping her hip lightly four times if it looks like one of her companions and looking for the return signal.

If she did hear, Aino speaks just loudly enough to be heard about as far away as Kileprat seems to be.  "I hear you.  Remember the signal."

Both Aino and her owl familiar Thumbtack take the dodge.  Staring into the fog to discern whatever she can.

Perception:  12 (rolled on character sheet / campaign log) - looking through the fog for friends or enemies.

You move forward 20 feet and run into Kileprat. When you tap your hip. Kileprat tilts her head.

In Kileprat's voice you hear: Ive forgotten the password. What was it again?

Aino would be suspicious but try not to show it, pretending she thinks it is Kileprat.  Feigning stupidity.

"Password's easy, you just have to use the word 'hear' in whatever you say like I just did.  Remember?"  (This is NOT in fact the password).

Figuring that the real Kileprat is a goliath and knows Giant, Aino, who also knows Giant adds, smiling as if giving a nice compliment, just loud enough for the "Kileprat" next to her to hear (in Giant):  "Passcode now, you f---ing *****!" (Big smile on her face and warm tone like she's saying something nice.)

Aino continues to take the dodge action.  Figuring the real Kileprat would be mad at the last thing she just said (in Giant), but would respond with the right number of taps on her hip.

With a 13 you know this is not Kileprat. ??? Will give you an angry look and respond in common.

DM: you are not and with 5 ft vis ATM you can move closer but you still won't be able to see them. 

The Fog is up. The visibility increases to 25 ft. Everyone sees a kileprat standing 10ft in front of them. Grock is up

I think we may have lost Grock.. he hasn't posted here since Sep 4th and.... Im tired of waiting on him.. 

If Kileprat sees a Kileprat in front of her, she will attack it, obviously.   lol

"I see you, you impersonator!" Kileprat screams at the imposter and rushes forward with her 2 hand axes.   She will only use one as she will use her bonus action to rage.

Kileprat caught off guard you can't get your footing and your attack misses.

Aino is up.

Aino gives her "4-hip-tap" signal to her companions and carefully  fixes the fake Kileprat's position in her mind.  The one who had not been able to answer her questions.  Using her 40' movement (Bladesong) she closes to melee range on the opposite side of the fake Kileprat from the real one.

Thumbtack, her owl, flies in the face of the enemy, distracting them (taking the help action and flying back to Aino's shoulder using owl's Flyby capability to avoid opportunity attack.  Aino then attacks with the Booming Blade cantrip in conjunction with her rapier.

Attack at advantage due to help:  12  (6 and 3 on the dice with advantage... sweet).
(I already know that's a miss since 13 missed earlier, would have been 11 damage if it hit plus Booming Blade secondary effect.)

DM: it is a miss, so I'm tracking you went around the Doppelganger in front of you from behind? You can't see the real kileprat with 25ft of vis. You are close enough to move to a point you can see just need to make a perception or survival check when moving though the Fog

Sorry - I wrongly assumed that with 25' visibility, we could all see each other.  So scratch the part about 'opposite side'.

Aino just goes up to what she knows is the fake Kileprat (who could not provide the signal when asked) and attacks.  And misses despite help.
