Ian pulls the rope from his pack and binds the Bugbear.

i attack the wolf with my daggers.

Johnson finishes off the wolf.

Seeing both of them are bloodied, the half-orc talks to Gundren.

"Hey dwarf boss", he releases an exhausted breath yet showing a playful grin.

"Next time, wait for us before you go sightseeing some ruined castle out here in the woods."

Gundren manages a quick smile to the Half-Orc.  He then gets up and starts kicking Krol in the arms and legs.  "Wake up!  Wake up!  Where is my map?"  The Bugbear remains motionless and unconscious.  After a few minutes, Gundren gets tired and just sits down in exhaustion.  "We need to find that map.... my brothers are there.... we need to find that map."

Tyrus watches the dwarf kick the bugbear, but remains suspicious.

"Now hang on Gundren. You'll forgive me for my suspicions, but we just fought a creature posing as you. What was the name of the forge where we first met?"

Gundren turns to Tyrus, "Thank you good sir for rescuing me from this fake King.   Droebol Ironbender, my good friend is the proprietor of the Black Hammer an amazing forge in Neverwinter.  He so kindly allowed us to complete trials behind his shop.  A friend of mine Sildar ......"  He pauses to collect him self.  Clearly broken by the event and his loss, "My friend was there with us, but he is now gone.  We were waylayed on our way to Phandalver."  

Refocused on Krol, "He has been beating me for days.... says he is going to give me to a spider.  He has my map and they  know where Wave Echo Cave is located and where my brothers are working."

"Wake up furball!"

Thagakh tries to resuscitate the bugbear by slapping its cheeks.

"If he's not conscious by now, we should break his neck just to be sure he's not fooling us."

Gundren, Sildar is in the village,  where is this so called kings quarters? and well need to rest soon i am also tapped out.

The kings quarters are through a short hall way and door that would be in the direction that Krol had entered the room.  This chamber has been set up as a crude living space, with thick furs thrown on the floor to serve as carpets, old trophies hanging on the walls, a large bed to the north, and a brazier of coals burning brightly. A round table with several chairs stands to the south near the door.  The medicine check allowed Thagakh to revive the bugbear.  He begins to shout at the group that he will get them when his men return from hunting.

Hidden under Grol’s bed mattress is a stitched leather sack containing 220 sp, 160 ep, potion of healing X 3, and Gundren’s map to Wave Echo Cave.  Nothing of value is in the room other than weapons that the Bugbear used.  

As he sees Johnson with the map, " He is waiting for you."  With a laugh and sudden change in attitude, he attempts to break the ropes and free himself.

But he is not successful.

we’ve got the map, get information from him if you can but otherwise we should probably head out. no need to tire our selves out killing the rest of his men.

Ian walks over to Krol placing his dagger at the base of his neck and says, “ what is in the room at the other end of the hall?”

With a grin Krol says, “ there is a nice treasure box in there on the shelf.  You only need to get past the owlbear in there guarding it.  Go ahead and take a look.”   “Haha HAHA HAHA!”

We have technically gotten what we have come for

“Let’s get what we have collected and get back to Phandelver so we can recover and help the boss with the mine and his brothers.”

After saying that Ian finishes off the King of Cragmaw with his daggers.

Ian goes on attack with his magic daggers.

1st Attack: 18 Damage: 7

2nd Attack: 19 Damage: 7

3rd Attack: 22 Damage: 7

4th Attack: 12 Damage: 7

OOC: probably could have rolled with advantage. 

Ian killed the Bugbear with a knife to the throat.  The grin no longer appeared on Krol’s face.

"Out of curiosity, does anybody know anything about Owlbears?  Can they be trained to be guard owlbears, or are they just to wild and can't be trained?  Because personally, I like having more treasure.  Shiny's are sweet and all, but the money to purchase what I really want is always a good think in my opinion.  I'm not interested in the party getting hurt, but maybe Owlbears have a weakness we could exploit.  Any ideas?"  Boghadair says,  while scratching his brow and trying to recall anything he can about the wee beasties.
