"A can of sparks and a can of stripped paint though would make a marvelous invention though."Dimbo mutters, having apparently been quiet the whole time trying to puzzle out the previous request, but just attentive enough to absent-mindedly have donned his helmet and carried on following along with the group to the Sky Dock itself. All while blissfully unaware of the incident a certain simian folk tried to instill thanks to his far more steadfast ex-cellmate.
"Hm? Ship? Ah, I know this one. Or at least, I'd wager to guess that the vessel belonged to that tentacled face creature we passed on our way up here. Which would make it a... hold on a sec-" Dimbo took out what looked to be a tuning fork and tapped it against his helmet. But though it hadn't ringed like one might've expected, the plasmoid at least seemed to have garnered an added bit of insight from the action, as he soon says with confidence...
"An outaloid! Or, uhm.. nautiloid? Ah, I always get the names mixed up. But as I understand it, it is the favored vessel of a particular race if I recall correctly. But uhm.. why do you ask again?" He asks of the gnome pair, his mind now finally catching up with the present.
Zalazcious attempts to shove Ozzy into Dimbo to create a diversion but all he manages to do is bounce off the very solid body of the Giff. In a feat of acrobatic prowess, he manages to redirect his body so that he smashes into the first guard. "Sorry 'bout that but I tripped. Are you ok he asks?" as he helps the guard to his feet and in so doing successfully lifts the guard belt poutch before going through the doors to the Skydock.

Naidana and Dimbo both recogise the ship as a Nautloid - a ship specific to the Illithid race and rumored to have special powers. When Vargach says that his people call the ship a Vermicious Knidssss, Kip or is it Pik - it is hard to tell them apart - says "I've not heard it called that and they've visited your homelands. We heard rumours they had breached the atmosphere here on Toril but had no proof as yet. Now who wants have a look around?"
Naidania tries to control/hide her emotions. She has heard of wondrous vessels called Nautiloid, however she has never thought that she would see one, let alone be allowed board one. She patiently waits for the opportunity.

"A nautloid eh? I've no recollection of those, but these Illithid had not been to the place I recently called home. As for a look around, this is why we are here is it not? Is this a captured or visiting ship or part of the fleet here and this one is used for instruction?" Nicolae asked as they walked towards the ship.
"Indeed they have, as they most likely done many a world. But uhm... y-yes! That sounds lovely indeed. Oh, but, uhm, has the uhm, interior been thoroughly scrubbed of any lingering security of the ship all the same? 'fore captured or not, I've heard rumor of some truly diabolical trapmanship of the people that usual make use of such vehicles." Dimbo ask after waddling on closer to incidently loom over the pair, or at least one of them, if such was even possible in the first place.

As spelljamming ships go, the nautoloid is a mid-sized ship with a total length of a bit over 100 feet.
Pik and Kip guide the party around the ship explaining things as they go. At one point in the tour Pik says "we believe that these ships can travel between the planes but we've not be able to work out how exactly they do it?"
"I've heard much the same a long time ago -- a long, long time ago from what I can remember. Never had a chance to board one before though, let alone properly study its internal mechanism. But from prior studies and the rumored accounts of one of the few of their ilk that's managed to break away willingly from their collective, I do have developed a... theory on the subject."
Dee Da Doo mentions while wobbling along with the party. "You've heard of things like Blink Dogs and Phase Spiders, yes? Creatures with the seeming supernatural abilities to flit about between planes, if though limited to adjacent ones. Well! It is my theory that the more living components the flayers have modified inheritly possess a similar quality. That, or the ship acts as a medium for them to employ more powerful but focused psionics to manipulate their position in the greater cosmos! ... But of course, this is just a theory, yet... Mr. Pik and Mr. Kip. How, uhm.. how intact is the Bridge deck?" He asks just moments before his uper half slouches over to lean against a nearby wall for support... again. Yet he seems otherwise unbothered by the happenings.

Shean walks fascinanted by the alien ship and trying to absorb as much as possible. When Dee Da Doo asks about the bridge he looks to the two gnomes, expecting to be able to visit it and even see it working... at least a little bit.
Impressed and awed by the ship, Vargach mostly just follows along until he sees the weapons. "These weaponsssss. They sssshoot spearssss and stonesssss?" he asks, intrigued.

"Mr. Pik and Mr. Kip. How, uhm.. how intact is the Bridge deck?" Dimbo asks. "As far as we can tell it appears to be fairly intact"Pik or is Kip responds "but lets go look"the other one says. The party follows the two gnomes onto the ship via a ramp which connects with the cargo deck. They climb up to the Bridge deck via the Battle deck on which Vargach can see a mangonel "that one lobs rocks at people the crew doesn't like"Kip says. When they reach the Bridge deck Pik points to the ballistas saying "those ones send large spears, we call them bolts, at people the crew also doesn't like!"

"Rocks and spears?" Dimbo asks, sounding genuinely amazed at the weaponry on display. "And here I thought the squiddies were 'too sophisticated' for such weaponry." He adds with a chuckle to his voice. "But then again, even if they -- their kind at least, regular old ballistas and launchers can do plenty enough work, eh? But tell me, Mr. Pik and Mr. Kip, have either of you had the pleasure of seeing a ship like theirs in action at least? Or heard tale of such by any chance?"

"But tell me, Mr. Pik and Mr. Kip, have either of you had the pleasure of seeing a ship like theirs in action at least? Or heard tale of such by any chance?" Dimbo asks the two gnomes while Naidania examines both the spelljamming helm.
Pik says "haven't seen one in action but i understand they're pretty effective." "Yeah they can use those tentacle like things at the front of the ship to snare other ships!" Kip finishes with.
Naidana examines the deck and can find no maps of any sort on the ship but as she examines the helm more closely she sees that there are four ports (two either side) near the headrest.
"So, Gnome dudes, tell me... How exactly would we take this ship out for a little test drive?" Zelacious inquires, mutiny on his mind. It should would be nice to escape his captors and have a ship of his own... Err, their own. Yes, yes. Their. It'll be a collective theft, he figures.
Ozzy just follows the group, making observations and scribbling notes into his book as he compares the alien ship to the ones he has been on in the past. Once the tour is done, he'll head off and start exploring the ship looking for anything he may find of interest before finally heading to the cargo deck.
What Ozzy is looking for:
In the command or observation deck, any symbols or artifacts that may relate to his notes or provide direction to where he can find more answers.
"I can imagine! And no doubt quite the terrifying sight to boot for those on the other side of those gargantuan snatchers."Dimbo said with a chuckle. At Zelacious commentary soon after, Dimbo almost looked as if he was vibrating from budding excitement. "An excellent point, Zelacious. Though I wager such a priviledge is usually reserved for more senior cadets, would it be possibly to at least ride along someday? Or are such activities reserved for the simulation deck mentioned on the map?"
