"I should be able to use Mage Hand to open it," I say.
I quickly set up a solid object, such as a table, between myself and the chest, while angling off to the side in such a way that it's unlikely I'll be in the path of the dart. I crouch behind the table and have everyone else clear out, then I cast Mage Hand to open the chest, hopefully discharging the trap harmlessly.

With a 'Chhhk', a pin stabs out of the lock. It is now disabled, but the chest is still locked.

"Sure wish I knew the 'Knock' spell," I mutter. "Von, I'm not an expert on cracking locks... if this doesn't work, I think we can probably go ahead and brute-force it now that the trap is disarmed."
I'll go ahead and make an Intelligence check (I guess) to try and figure out how to open the chest since we don't have the key, first by picking the lock (if possible), or by going the other way and popping the pins out of the hinges.

I'll use the Help action to aid whoever tries to open the chest next in order to grant advantage on the roll. I think Solomon has a better Dex score, and he could use Knowledge from a Past Life as well.

Peering inside the chest, you see 7 Gold Peices and 34 Silver Peices. More strikingly, however, is a blue-orange dagger modelled to look like a flame.

The box clicks open under the... uh... the deft fingers of Solomon? That was unexpected... but Camus doesn't dwell on it.
My gaze is immediately drawn to the dagger, which I gingerly pick up and turn over in my bony hands. We can decide how to divide up the coin later, but the dagger is absolutely striking. I find myself wondering if I might have seen it before.

"I don't usually like to get that close to an enemy," I say. "Though I am fairly compotent in the use of such a weapon if necessary. But this doesn't look to me like it was designed for combat. It seems more like a ceremonial blade if some kind."
I'm going to roll Arcana to see if I notice any occult significance to the blade's unique appearance.

The dagger is considered magical and deals fire damage instead of piercing damage. From what you can tell, the intricate design is almost certainly ceremonial and wouldn't hold up to more than a few blows.
