"What the hell..." Argos looks with disgust at the goblin. "Never do that again, please." Argos gets up after the short rest and heads over to the door, looking into the hallway. If the hallway is clear, Argos speaks to his comrades, "Looks clear, let's head out." Argos grabs the Redbrand prisoner and leads him into the hallway, "So, lead us through the rest of your base, and tell me before we enter a room what we might find in it, got it?"
“Oh, I don’t know.” said Nemean to his friends, “I didn’t think it was all that bad, he’s got a lot of energy, he’s really putting his heart into it. He’s clearly a born showman.”
He turns to Droop. “You’re going to need to add something else beyond just the floor licking though, like some jokes, or maybe an instrument.”
"Droop sorry! Droop try, Droop promise, me no know what big scary men funny!" the goblin says, clearly terrified of being killed by the big scary men.
The Redbrand nods at Argos once in the hallway, saying "As long as you'll keep me alive. Do whatever you'd like once you're done here, just leave me alive."
Tracking: The hallway continues to the north, to the room where you fought the Redbrands. The hallway leads to a set of steps to the east, ascending to a room with a large ceiling.
"There's a nothic up there, was 'ere when we moved in. Glasstaff pays it in corpses and it defends the tunnel entrance for us," he answers. A brief look of confusion crosses his face, before he continues, "Not sure how you got past it in the first place, come to think of it."
"Oh, the cavern. Never heard of a nothic, but I guess that's what the voice in my head was. Damn thing comes near me it'll regret it." Argos speaks to his comrades, "So, should we loop back around the way we came and try to find another path? I'm not too keen on that creature filling my head with nonsense again." Argos begins to lead the Redbrand back the way we came in, back to the secret passage in Glasstaff's room and up into the room we initially entered into the hidden passage from.
Nemean sits up straight, intrigued by the mention of a strange creature. “We should slay this beast, no? That is after all, what we came here to do, in a way. We should not risk letting some lesser heroes come across it... or the child who plays near the cavern. We should put an end to this monster now.”

"Yes, I agree, but I think we should come around back. It probably expects us to come from this way due to all of the noise from our fight. We should get the jump on it if we're going to slay it."
Before the group heads back out the secret entrance to Glasstaff's room, Sildar asks the question, "What are we going to do with this thing? Are we taking it with us, or should I put it out of its misery?" He points to Droop, who has started wailing, begging for his life.
Argos turns back as he begins to leave the room. "Eh.... I guess we can take him with us. He said he knew some stuff about the goblin tribe we've been encountering. He seems harmless enough." Argos speaks directly to the goblin, "If you try anything Droop, I'll slice ya open with this here blade." Argos pulls out his shortsword, waving it around in an intimidating fashion.
"Yes of course, Droop no fight big scary men because Droop can't fight, Droop is entertainment!" says Droop.
You return to the north end of the large cavern, which has been finished with dressed stone block walls and a flagstone floor. Several barrels have been stored along the walls here, along with a number of empty crates, straw for packing, hammers, pry bars, and nails.
The cavern continues for some distance to the south. You can make out several passages that open up off the larger cavern, and the crevasse in the floor through which Cinis fell earlier.
Tracking: There is an exit to this room to the west, which you just entered through. You can make out two passages that exit the cavern to the northwest and southwest (in the direction of your recent fights with the Redbrands and the bugbears) You can make out one passage that exits the cavern to the southeast.
Argos quietly speaks to his comrades, "That southeast passage. Looks like our only way left to go now. Everyone be ready for that no-thick thing or whatever it's called." Argos nudges the Redbrand forward towards the southeast passage. Argos has both of his shortswords drawn in anticipation of encountering the nothic.
The Redbrand trudges forward, leading the group through the cavern. As you pass the northern bridge, Argos again hears a sickly voice muttering in his head.
For Argos:
"Oooh, so they kills the wizard, is why they come. But wizard brings food. Do you bring food? Or are you food?"
"Yeah, I'm food! Come and get me you foul creature!" Argos yells into the cavern, then alerts his comrades, "Be ready, I hear it speaking in my head." Argos looks around the cavern in search for the creature.
The voice in Argos's head becomes louder, and more rambling. A tall, greenish-brown, scaly creature emerges from behind a stone column across the crevasse. It is hunched over, with spiky scales protruding from its back, and it has a single eye that occupies most of its face, not counting its massive jaw and teeth. It is silent to all but Argos's mind, with a creepy smile that displays its intent.
For Argos:
"Food is flesh, flesh is food, food is food! Kill food, eat food!"
The nothic suddenly charges toward the crevasse, stopping at the edge and staring at the dwarf it has been mentally communicating with.
Argos CON Save: 6
Argos feels a wave of rotting energy wash over him, but the hardy dwarf does not feel its ill effects.

Tracking: The nothic is standing at the other side of the crevasse, which is 10 feet wide. There is only 5 feet between the crevasse and the wall where you stand. Reaching melee range of the nothic on foot will require 20 feet of movement north to the bridge, 10 feet of movement across, and 20 feet of movement south.
Argos sheathes both of his shortswords and casts Hunter's Mark on the Nothic. He yells to his comrades, "Go after it, but keep it in my line of sight!"
"This is sick, get up off the ground. We didn't come here to degrade prisoners." Tarok says, his face contorted in disgust.
