Marrin has cleaned up enough of the pole near her, and scrubbed it dry with her previous shimmying up and down that she's able to climb up high enough to see the snakes again. They hiss loudly at her appearance again. However, she can confirm now that one of the snakes isn't moving and may have succumbed to her last insult.
She focuses her attention on one of them and again, despite not having a clue what Marrin is saying, the general malice behind the words just breaks the fourth snakes heart and it stops moving around.
However, as Marrin attempts to dip back below the surface, the remaining three snakes lash out her. All three are able to sink their fangs in (3 HP damage - 1 each). However, Marrin can feel more at work than just a little stab. The venom from these snakes moves and reacts quickly in Marrin's body. (DC 10 Con save against each of the three snakes - 6HP, 8HP and 4HP damage if fail, half on success).
Ethel's kick into the large cat may not confirm the creature is dead, but there's absolutely no movement or sound when the kick lands; just the dull thunk of inanimate meat being hit.
Ula and Hammerdasher turn outward, hefting their weapons as well once they see Ethel is staying down below.
Adelysia moans but scurries quickly across the sand and slips behind the sort of circle formed by Jan, Ethel, Ula and Hammerdasher.
The sound of chains being turned on a winch and the creak of a portcullis starting to rise echo across the arena.
The hum of the crowd rises, wondering what's happening.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
While waiting, Ethel tries to take a moment to clear her thoughts and further detail her mental picture of the arena. This includes...
Trying to commit as many spectators faces to memory as possible.
Estimating the distance from the arena floor to the stands.
Estimating the distance from the arena floor to the box seats where the Hargrove's sit.
How many archers/crossbowmen are visible and where they are stationed.

The exhilaration of finally making it to the platform is quickly dashed as she catches sight of the snakes getting biting Marrin. "You're still standing, you've got this! I just, don't know what's coming next, stay with us friend!" and she looks in the direction of the sound of chains moving.
As the remaining three snakes hiss, not far from Marrin’s head, the portcullis on the far side of the arena open all of the way.
The crowd gasps at first, not sure what to make of this. Ethel, as she scans the crowd, can see Harry Dodds looking from the portcullis entry way then over to Godrick Hargrove, his eyes wide.
Ethel estimates that the viewing area is about 40’ above the floor of the arena. She can’t make out any archers but from what she remembers about their first encounter here, that doesn’t mean much as arrows still flew down from the shadows in the viewing area.
There’s too much going on for her to concentrate on the faces in the crowd, especially as she can now see what’s coming out of the tunnel to the other side of the arena.
Long poles, their wielders unseen, push out three shambling goblins. Once they’re clear of the entry way, the portcullis slams down.
As the light hits the goblins you can all tell that something isn’t quite right here. They basically look like goblins, but deep wounds, ashen coloured skin, vacant stares all hint at creatures that shouldn’t be alive.
When these creatures catch sight of the tower and the group huddled around the base, they start making their way there.

As a group you're momentarily caught off guard by the corpse like goblins who have entered the arena. The audience seems to be in the same state as well, not yet sure how to react to these newcomers. One or two shake their heads and leave the viewing area.
The goblin corpsy creature shamble towards the center of the arena and the platform, coming to about 20' from the group collected at the bottom.
"Can I get you two on cleanup duty?" Ehtel asks of Jan and Hammerdasher. "If I can't put them down, I'll need some backup."
She then advances toward the zombies, until she can catch all three within a 15' cone. She touches her thumbs together and fans her fingers out, palms up and out toward the undead. Uttering the magic words, she unleashes a torrent of fire at the monsters.

The three corpse goblins veer wildly as they make their way to the tower and just as Ethel is about to finish her incantation one steps out of her target range but just as the fiery jets of flame zip outwards it stumbles back into the cone, getting hit squarely in the chest.
The stumbling zombie manages to shield the second one from the full brunt of Ethel's flames. The third almost walks out of range at the last moment, but isn't moving quickly enough and gets a full does of the flames as well.
The smell of burning, rotting flesh drifts up into the crowd, eliciting a chorus of groans and boos. But for those on the other side of the viewing area, there are wild cheers for the display of magic.
While badly burnt, the grisly goblins show now sign of slowing down.
Those who have a clear view of Ethel see her smile with grim satisfaction as flames engulf the zombies… more potent flame than she had conjured yesterday fighting the birds. But the smile dies on her face as the zombies emerge from the fire, charred and smoking but still very much dead-alive.

Seeing the flames shoot out of Ethel towards the creepy looking goblin things, Avaria figures the ones below can handle themselves for the moment. "Shout if you need help!"
And she heads over to the pole, stepping around the still sleeping hobs. Seeing Marrin already on it gives her pause, but then figures she will be easier to climb than a greasy pole and she smiles. "Here I come Marrin, I'll try not to scratch you." Very aware of her claws now, she does her best to keep her purchase and hold them in as she attempts to climb over Marrin and up the pole... knowing what's to come - snakes.

She feels the rage come on again as her head pokes up above the platform, and she tries to burst up through so if she gets bitten she doesn't fall back down.
