Pirate Ethel throws another chill touch at a rope.
"These arrows are fast becoming an issue!" she hollers to no one in particular.

Avaria makes her way down the stairs and into the hold. She sees crates and barrels stowed against the walls of the hold.
There are doors to a subhold in the bow, and then to the aft there’s the doorway that leads to the subhold where the party encountered the rodents of unusual size. Both have padlocks on them.
MAIN DECK:
Marrin, still looking like Tammer comes out onto the main deck, tries shoving the gangway off before Hammerdasher comes over quickly and steps onto it, preventing her from pushing it off.
“Hold up there,” Hammerdasher says, brandishing his sword, his shield over his shoulder in case more arrows come. “Who are you?”
As Marrin saws through one of the remaining ropes, Hammerdasher looks slightly less aggressive, but still suspicious.
“We’ve got people down there still,” the dwarfs says, gesturing to the wharf, where Marrin can see Jisthelek, Ula, the orcs, and a couple of goblins working on the other ropes. Ethel is at the foot of the gangplank.
The rope splits in two and half falls into the water.
Down the railing, Jan hacks at another rope, her first dagger coming in at too awkward an angle and it bounces off. But she steadies her hand and is able to cut through it with her second dagger.
WHARF:
Ethel’s floating hand grasps the blackened rope again and this time all of the fibrous strands grow black and rot straight through.
Jisthelek and Ula manage to get the final rope untied and off the mooring point.
The three remaining goblins, and the two orcs, sensing more arrows in their future run up the gangway.
With the ropes cut, Ethel would like to use her movement to haul herself up the gangplank behind the goblins.

Avaria smashes through the lock and the door to the subhold opens. From the doorway she can see the familiar room, no sign of big rats this time. But she does see the cage the party examined before. Inside, legs shackled to the wall, seated leaning back against the wall is the once quarter master of the Rose Marie, Eran Bigge. The wiry half-elf looks a little thin, and he has a couple of fading bruises but otherwise looks okay.
He lifts his head, anger in his eyes quickly fading to confusion then curiosity.
Jisthelek and Ula follow Ethel quickly up the gangway, turning back when they get to the main deck to look at the fire on the wharf, the sailors shouting and trying to get more water on to it, and the arrival of more pirates/sailors/traders and a few more hobgoblin guards at the entrance to the harbor.
The captain and first mate make it to the Rose Marie, stopping at the gangway, not wanting to run up and get caught among the enemy waiting there.
"Get off my ship," the captain calls.
The two Hargroves and their hobgoblin guards also arrive on the dock next to the Rose Marie.
The hobgoblins unleash another round of arrows at the occupants of the deck, as does William Hargrove with his crossbow. Gillian merely draws her two longswords and approaches the gangway.
Before Jisthelek can duck for cover, he takes another arrow in the shoulder. He's wounded badly and barely hanging on now. The injured orc is a tad slow to move out of the way as well and gets clipped in the side by an arrow. He looks about as well as Jisthelek does.
A third arrow thuds into the deck of the ship, narrowly avoiding the other orc. Ethel gets caught up in the logjam of everyone rushing to get onto the deck and behind the railings and gets left exposed. An arrow catches her in the thigh (Attack 14 Damage 8).
Another of the goblins is hit in the shoulder and spins about. While they're injured, they're still going, barely.
The second orc who missed getting hit before, isn't so lucky from the final arrow and Hargrove's crossbow bolt. Both hit, and cause severe damage. The orc's knees buckle and he collapses to the deck, dead.
Gillian Hargrove shouts up to those on the ship.
"Surrender now and you'll only have to return to the caves."
The fire spreads in the direction of the ship, but is still about 30' away.
The ship is untethered but the water is relatively calm. The ship has drifted out an inch or two on its own.
The gangway has supports to let it sit on the dock and be stable and wooden hooks at the ship side to keep it from sliding off. On a quick look, pulling it up would be easier than pushing it off.
An action to do as its a key 'doorway' at the moment - lots of help from Hammerdasher so no rolls needed but an action burned if they go that route.
Ethel grimaces at the arrow but is glad she 'wasted' a spell earlier on false life... though she dearly wishes she could spit a little fire, or even cast sleep right about now.
CON save for concentration on alter self : 12 (rolled in Game Log)
Pirate Ethel sighs.
"You're chasing the wrong boat," she says sadly, addressing William. "While your hideaway burns and you scramble after us...". She points out at the swiftly departing rowboat. "... Your son uses the distraction to slip away with something far more valuable than a few slaves."
She has no expectation that this will do anything to pause the rain of death arrows, but there isn't much Ethel can do at this point.

Relief floods through Avaria as she sees Bigges. Smiling through her rage, she says, "No time to explain, need you on deck to steer this ship out of here, now!"
Dropping the now her greatsword, she grabs hold of the leg irons with both hands, and attempts to yank them out of the wall.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"It's our ship now! By the way, I QUIT!", Drus-Jan calls down in a gruff voice, sending a blast at the Captain before dropping prone behind the railings.

((Ah, my mistake! I thought everyone was onboard cutting ropes. Marrin wouldn't have tried to strand people.))
Marrin gives Hammerdasher a wink,
"Not Tammer."
She looks a bit sheepish,
"Sorry, just rushed up without assessing the situation."
Marrin helps everyone she can get onboard and directs Jisthelek towards the Captain's quarters.
"Get into some cover."
She'll then look to Hammerdasher, ignoring the captain and Gillian.
"Now can we?"
She'll push/slide/lift the gangway off if he agrees.
((Let me know if that takes her action.))

Marrin lifts the hooks with Hammerdasher. She'll give a little push too, if she can.
Then she'll tap Hammerdasher on the shoulder and moving back to get cover from the arrows, falling prone and hopefully out of sight of them.
(Yes the railings will provide partial cover to anyone ducking behind them)
