Jan keeps an eye on Korda, wary of anything that could be casting of spells now that they are outside of the magic null area (?). If she is running her crew from the inside, magical communication is a lot easier than relying on visitors... provided you have the know-how and the opportunity.

As they walk back, Ava leans over to Jan keeping her voice low so that no one can hear, "I've heard of tattoos having magical properties... do you think hers might? A way for her to communicate maybe?"
She shrugs and continues to breathe through her mouth as they follow the others. Could they use this latrine duty to pull her from the prison when she's outside if need be? Man, she hopes it doesn't come to that, but she really doesn't know.
The warden waves her hand in the air as if to encompass the prison and the environment around it.
"The location keeps this place fairly quiet," the warden says. She pauses and then adds "But it's really a public event."
She looks over at Ethel and then adds "No, not at all. It's only ever at the request or suggestion of the alliance member who committed the prisoner here in the first place. Then we discuss the prisoner and their behaviour and decide if it makes sense to let them out early. For instance, Lord Hammerdasher here could request such a hearing for Korda. Though I suspect that won't be happening any time soon"
The warden thinks for a moment longer before looking back to Marta/Marrin, adding "now, the alliance leader could allow others to watch the proceedings, but I don't think you'd get a hold of any of them in time to see the ones we have scheduled for this afternoon."
TEAM GUARD
Jan doesn't notice anything that looks like spellcasting, but does notice Korda rubbing her arms, whether to stay warm, or perhaps, following along Avaria's thoughts, to activate a magical tattoo is hard to tell.
"You seem to know Korda better than anyone else we've talked to. Can you guess at what she would be susceptible to or open for... convincing her to cooperate?"
Ethel appears to go back into deep thought, mumbling inaudibly to herself.
Marta hears Ethel's voice whisper in her ear. "No one else can hear this. I'm thinking... it there a play here? If we could convince Hammerdasher to move for the release of Korda, could we pull that off and get the miserable thief out of here before Hargrove arrives? Would we even want to?"

Latrine wraps up without incident, other than the guards feeling the cold all the way to their bones. If this is the start of winter, you might not want to still be here when the middle of winter arrives.
As Korda and the three guards head back inside, Korda winks at Avaria.
"Like what you see?" Korda asks, indicating her tattooed arms. While red from the cold, Korda doesn't appear to be suffering any ill effects from being outside. "Stick around and I'll get you your own."
Korda walks purposefully back to her cell, a faint smile at the corners of her mouth.
K sneaks into the cell when Korda does, keeping invisible as he does. It's not big and he sticks to the ceiling, but he doesn't see Korda doing anything of note. She does a few push ups and single leg squats before lying down on her bunk. She stares up at the ceiling and then closes her eyes.
The guards return to the others in the control room. Not much happens the rest of their shift and they're free to return to the barracks.
The barracks themselves are reached by using the spiral staircase in the control room and heading up the tower. About 100' above the prison roof, there is a door in the spiral staircase that leads into a large room filled with wooden bunk beds. There are arrow slits in the north, west, and south walls. Footlockers and armor racks accompany each bed. The spiral stairs continue up past the door.
You've seen this room before and have your own footlockers near each other.
There are bunks for 50 in the room, and after your shift, about 20 other guards are here, with another 25 or so down in the mess hall getting dinner.
TEAM DWARF
The warden and the absolution councilors leave the mess hall and head off to do their work. Before the warden leaves, she has a guard show them where they can stay for the night. Conveniently the free chambers are just down a hallway leading south from the mess hall. There are ten doors off the hallway, presumably leading to ten rooms. Each of the group are shown one of the rooms.
Each contains a bed, a desk with matching chair, a claw-footed chest, and wall hooks for hanging clothes. A lantern hanging from the wall emits warm light but the guard shows you that it's not a real flame but lit by some magical means. If you say 'lights' the light will turn off. Say 'lights' again and they will turn back on.
The group is free to talk, try to wander, convince Hammerdasher of Ethel's suggestion, or just get a long rest in.
