Hammerdasher seems about as angry as Marrin/Marta has seen so far.

"Of course it's bloody still there," he says mostly to himself. "We should have realized she couldn't have just moved it right under our noses. Damn it all."

Ula places a hand on his arm to try and calm him.

Ethel is quiet and contemplative for a moment but finally nods and turns to Marrin/Marta, leaning on her cane as she does.

"We'd be giving her leverage over her competition and their families. She could hurt innocents because of what's in those ledgers," she says but then she takes a deep breath. "But given what we've seen so far and what Geffroi has seen, I think letting the Hargroves into that catacomb vault could end up meaning a lot more innocent people could be killed."

Her had runs absently over her own scars.

"And I can't say there wouldn't be some personal satisfaction in seeing the Hargrove's faces when they find out what we've done."

She gives Hammerdasher a consoling smile,

"We'll get it back, its why we're here."

She listens to Ethel and nods,

"Lesser of two evils with a bonus."

She rubs the bridge of her nose,

"I am not sure how I ended up here in life. This isn't anywhere near where I'd expected to find myself. Best to get this done while everyone is distracted, if we can."

Taking a deep breath she stands up and heads out to take a walk by the mess hall, guard rooms looking for a chance encounter with Jan and co.

Jan, Avaria, Geffroi and Soren are still on patrol, while extra guards are deployed to the entrances as well as guard towers that overlook the entrances. As they move, they do make their way past them mess hall where they spot Marta/Marrin, as well as Ethel, Ula, and Hammerdasher, noting that Hammerdasher looks even more red and flushed than usual.

There are still two other guards with Jan, Avaria, et al but they haven't shown themselves to be especially suspicious or hostile.

"Did we want to keep the guards occupied and let the others head up for the ledger?  Or how did we want to do this?" Ava feels clearly out of her depths.

((Marrin has a potential plan, but she needs to interact with guard group to kick it into action.))

The guards have received no instruction that they can't interact with visitors. Not much opportunity to do so. These two guards with the guard group don't seem to be hard-asses nor senior members of the prison guards.

Marta does a circuit of the prison's outside loop, looking for her guards. If Kay is around she'd let Jan know she is looking for her.

Her guards are right at the entrance to the mess hall.

Marta walks past the guards and says quietly to Jan,

"We need to change spots so you can get the ledger. Meet you at the toilets as soon as you can get there."

Given everyone has been there long enough to know where the toilets are, it doesn't take anyone long to get her there and it is on the guard route.

Jan, Avaria and the other guards end up back at the surveillance center in the center of the jail at the end of their first round and have a good 10 minute window before they have to go again.

Anyone heading to the toilets and passing the hallway to the elevator entrance doesn't see any extra guards but can hear a larger number of voices than usual in the guard room near the entrance.

The toilets themselves are empty for the moment.

Once Jan arrives, Marta waves her into a stall/whatever and starts helping her switch out of her armor as Marta herself strips as needed as she lengthens and becomes exactly Jan shaped.

"Help me put the armor on, then head up. Your grime gremlin can get you there? Otherwise I can can invisibility on you to get you up."

If requested, she casts invisibility before the armor disrupts her movements and ability to do so.

"Anything I should know? Otherwise I will just follow the other's lead. Good luck."

She'll then head out to rejoin the guards, looking just as uncomfortable in the armor as Jan, no acting required.

As Jan and Marta head into the toilets, Ava stands as a lookout, hoping no one comes by as she has no idea what she's going to say.

Once sorted, just need to know who looks like whom and where everyone is going. As a reminder the guard team is still on duty but who knows how much leeway they have in punctuality. And we can then see if anyone happens along while Avaria stands guard duty.
