"Oh dear," Devona will sigh again and pull a dagger out to hurl at the demonitaur. "I do wish he would just give up," she said to herself before moving her healing spirit between Kashika and Nygil to offer them some restoration before the spirit faded back the fey realm. Tilda continued hocking up fiery hairballs and batted one at the beast with an evil looking cat-look on her face.

Devona's knife strikes the demonitaur strait between the eyes, then falls to the ground leaving a tiny prick on his forehead. Tilda also lands a solid hit on the minotaur's hairy back singeing his fur and relieving more scales.
"Haha! The mean Minotaur doesn't seem so scary when he's floating like that!"He turns and grins at Devona, "Keep hitting him! It serves him right!"
Shurkan roars angrily, though it is clear that he is on his last leg. "I will not give up! I can't die like this! I can't let my goal slip through my fingers!"

Kashika had been so caught up in the moment as they seemed to be overwheming the demonitaur that it slowed her reaction time, and if not for Devona's previous two heals... Kashika would have been felled as the acid pours over her, barely holding on as nearly all her scales were singed off this time, the cape the only thing left covering her body aside from her containers and satchels that were behind her.
CON Save DC 14: 18
But the one thing Kashika was... was hardy. She had survived horrible things, and that helped her maintain her concentration just long enough to do what she planned to next. Shurkan was lifted the full twenty feet into the air. And as he was unable to move on his own.... he couldn't dodge... this ultimately did remove him from the blinding effect of her illusion which was let go. And as he floated there, helplessly she fingered a net from her satchel, aimed it at the demon, and launched it at the creature with the full force of her most powerful spell power.

(I'll say he can't dodge. He can't move on his own so that makes the most sense to me.)
Shurkan shoots skyward and his eyes widen when the spell blinding him vanishes. Flailing helplessly, he glares at Kashika, though all of you can see fear in his eyes.
Before he can protest, the mostly naked kobold catapults a her net towards him, and releases her spell as soon as it entangles him.
He is dead before he hits the ground.
The stone floor cracks slightly when his body impacts, and a pool of blood quickly forms near Kashika's feet. All is silent for several moments. Even Whicket stays quiet.
Now that the fight is over, and the undulating portal has vanished, the glowing pool beneath the dragon statue is much easier to see. It's water seems even seems to glow, causing ripples of light to dance on the walls.
Devona relaxes again and begins walking to the other end of the room as the beasty man falls with a thud. "Well, I guess he had enough finally. Just as well, it was a bit tiresome. So what now?"

"Weeeeellll," Nygil looks a little disappointedly at the fallen foe. "That was... well it could have lasted longer." He sighs, "I guess I'll have to chase down that black dragon next." He looks over to where the portal used to be, "Orrrr not... I forgot about that." He turns to Kashika, "Uh... you closed that thing... do you think you can open it again? To... to take us home of course."He gives a chuckle then moves towards the glowing pool, "Actually let's check this out first." He leans over to look into the glowing water, and its clear by the look on his face that he's thinking about trying to drink some like he did with the river of darkness.
Jumble wiped his brow. They'd beaten the minotaur-thing. It hadn't been a particularly difficult battle, but the bard was still glad no unexpected surprises left them harmed.
It was then that he noticed Nygil examining the water. "You're not about to do what I think you're about to do, are you?" he asked from across the room.
Nygil scoops up some water in his hands and gives Jumble a wide grin, "Mayyyybe." He looks at the water in his hands for a moment, "Never know, maybe it has healing properties..."He then attempts a small sip, spitting it out if that results in any sort of negative reaction.

Kashika relaxed, nearly collapsing... before actually collapsing as her body stung with the exposed 'skin' beneath the scales that was never supposed to be exposed to air was now surrounded by dust, air, and other factors as she fell to her knee's, placing her hands on the ground. But she was alive, if only just barely. She lingered for a few moments, catching her breath before saying, first to Nygil, half-heartedly turning her head to him.
I don't know Nygil, if he is related to me... as far as I knew, it was C-cyra. she stated, finally answering his question from earlier - her lisp coming back. And yes Nygil... though it won't really be me doing it. there's a ... third dragon... in the crown. She said to... with effort, Kashika gets up, clearly in agony, and with no way to heal herself.... walks over to Nygil Watering Trough ... reaches into her mind and the crown.... focusing her energy on the pool.
With this i c-can send you back to your homes with the crowns h-help. I.. can no longer leave this place but.... I can change it. I promised I'd send you all back... though you weren't there for it. Zalten and the sorceress.... they ... Anyw-ways... I'm going to turn this place on it's head, like I said. That was no bluff.
I will overpower Cyra and Zoran in time, or f-force them to submit, to stop their fighting, or die. After that I c-can repair this place... i think.. she said with less confidence. But... I was expecting m-more... resistance... I was expecting that one or all of you would ... turn on me the moment it was revealed i planned to take the c-crown for myself... she did scan over the group once... just in case anyone seemed keen on assaulting her in her weakened state. (Insight: 6 + 1 binsp)
Devona listens as she walks near the rest of them, nodding briefly at Tilda who comes scampering by, winding her way through Kashika's legs (as cats do) enabling Devona to channel some healing through her into Kashika (20 points healing)."Well I haven't been with you that long so there isn't a lot for me to say, but if you can send me back to my home that would be greatly appreciated. I have no doubt about your motivations here--it sounds rather daunting if you ask me. I suppose there are a great many thing about this world I may never know, but know this: If you ever are in dire need of my help, just ask." She gave a smile like the sun breaking after a soft Spring rain.
Nygil is completely fixated on the glowing water and does not take any notice of the plaque at the dragon's feet. When he tries to scoop up some water, he get's a bit frustrated when it seems to slip out of his hands no matter what he does. (For those of you who look, it says The Well of Tears in draconic)
Whicket remains stunned a little longer than the others when Shurkan falls to the floor. However, when Kashika rises and makes her way to the pool, he shakes himself trying not to look at her unclothed body. After taking off his tunic, he sidles up next to her and holds it in front of him. "H-here." his all he manages to say. His face is red and he continues to look over his shoulder rather than at the other Kobold.
A few moments after Kashika focuses on the pool, a ripple runs through the water and the image of a small white dragon and snowy landscape appears on it's surface. The dragon sits up quickly when she notices the image appear and rushes closer. "Oh what a relief! So you managed to make him leave. That is good." She states quickly. "Now I can help Kashika send you all home. Feel free to say your goodbys. When you are ready, step into the pool and I will direct you home. Kashika, all you must do is maintain your flow of power. I'm aware that you had other companions that stayed in Dawn yes? If they wish to return home, just bring them here and I can direct them home as well..." A worried look crosses her face, before being replaced by a hopeful expression, which shifts to determination. "I-uh... I might suggest that you make this your base. With my help and the help of the crown's power, you can begin mending this area, and even start your own kingdom if you so wish it... This is also the easiest way for you to commune with me. Speaking to you through the crown is a bit...strenuous."
Nygil seems disappointed that he can't seem to scoop up any of the water, but that disappointment quickly fades to interest as he toys with it for a moment. When Kashika responds, he stops what he's doing to look at her. "Hmm... well I'm a bit disappointed you didn't fill us in on the plan. Buuuttt it makes sense to think we'd try to stop you so I can't fault you for it. Honestly though... I hadn't even considered that one of us might want to get the crown, I mean... I sure don't want to be stuck here forever. Much less rule over the realm." He chuckles, "Just do me a favor and don't treat the commoners like my father does. I'm positive you'll make a better ruler than either of those two oversized worms."
He gives a bit of a start when the dragon appears in the water, but quickly stands up and pretends he wasn't just sticking his hands in the pool. "Oh... hi there."He waves at the image on the water, "You look much friendlier then that big black dragon we saw earlier. Do you know him by chance? He seemed to know my friend here, but she doesn't seem confident that they are related..." He glances at Kashika as if something just clicked in his mind, "Wait... you thought you were related to Cyra? You sure share more of a resemblance with the dragon from the portal." He shrugs, "Eh, all's well that ends well I guess." He grins, "But if there is a way that you can call people back and fourth, don't hesitate to ask for help. I'm a bit rusty on the topic of governing lands... buuuttt I could probably give advice on what NOT to do if you want. And of course, if you ever need a strong fighter don't hesitate to call me over! Especially if the issue is one of those big sand worm thingys. I reeeeeaaaallllyyy would like to try and take one of those on."

I was expecting m-more... resistance... I was expecting that one or all of you would ... turn on me the moment it was revealed i planned to take the c-crown for myself...
Jumble sighed and gave a shrug. "I don't think you should worry about us," he said. "We've no reason to distrust you to use the crown more than anyone else. After all, you're not the one who sucked us into another realm to participate in some silly game of keep-away with it!"
He then smiled. "Besides, your offer to send us back says enough as it is."
Kashika felt the rather massive amount of healing wash over her, and though it didn't grow the scales back, it mended the wounds beneath them, and lessened the tenderness and aches her tiny body felt and she was able to stand without much effort. Maintaining her concentration then on the pool of water, as it had yet to react as Devona made her commentary. And that much made Kahiska laugh a single laugh. T-that's true. None of us really knew eachother. But I think that's part of the d-dragons plans... get people who are l-less likely to conspire... So that they always end up with the c-crown. Zoran's biggest mistake was c-confirming to me that no one else had 'tried to use it' ... which means others c-could.
Kashika was indeed in a state of undress, aside from the cloak he had given her, and as he approached, she couldn't help but smirk and internally laugh at how bashful the male was. It's not like Kobolds had anything to show -atleast by human standards- but is reaction only reinforced her opinions prior, and her decision she had made to herself at the gates before they left Zoran's city. She took the offered attire but did not put it on.. after-all Whicket was likely the only one who found her body enticing. Regardless, Whicket made her think of the innocence she had lost due to the fact she had been alone, and forced to struggle, to survive, and every day take risks just to have a half-full stomach. She was the opposite of him, and some part of her wanted something simpler, more friendly, more innocent, and more ... something else she couldn't quite explain. So she did the most appropriate thing, and lied to him.
After ruffling the tunic in her hands for a few seconds, she said Allright, i-its on. Does it look good on me? a whicket-smile on her face, as she waited for him to look at her with only the cloak on though through this she maintained her focus on the pool enough. After Whicket looked, and reacted, likely prompting something halfway between a laugh and a feminine giggle, she said to him I ap-p-preciate your gentlemanliness, but I-I'm fine. Stay here with me Whicket, and when my scales grow back... her eyes locked to his, filled with promises and intent, her head turning to the pool as her eyes remained locked to his before slowly peeling back to the water just as the draconic voice came through.
She listened as the white dragon spoke, nodding where necessary before responding to each thing she found relevant in turn. T-there are atleast two, yes. Though I don't know where they are, I can find them. I will simply hide the crown on my head. I was planning on staying here anyway.. white dragon. she said, as the dragon had never given her name. The only other option would be the desert, and I don't feel like levitating worms all day... though Kashika's next words came out in the fashion of someone teasing a new acquaintance, though no malice was in her tone Mmm, and here I thought you were a powerful dragon, yet you struggle to speak through the crown? Perhaps dragons are not so powerful afterall... however, with her teasing done, she turns to the others as they speak to her or the dragon.
Commoner or king hold no sway over how I will treat people Nygil. People will be treated according to their actions. If they harmed others for no other reason that to harm them, rather than self-defense or something akin.... then they will find themselves on the other end of their own anger. Those with power who have .. helped people who suffer, will be left alone. I just don't want others to have to go through what I went through... unless they harmed others for no g-good reason.
And.. I cannot see my own eyes, I've never had a mirror. All I can see are my black scales.. she says, looking at what was now pink muscle and flesh where the scales should be.. for atleast a few weeks. Cyra has black scales... and I had never seen or met my parents then when i was summoned here.. i thought it had to have been for a reason. Then I saw C-cyra... I may be wrong, but in the end I suppose it doesn't matter... But if it is possible to do as you ask Nygil... she says, looking to the pool, mentally asking I cannot summon champions but.. what about allies who are willing? at the dragon, through the crown. Then I will certainly t-try.
She listened to Jumble then, and nodded. She had truly expected someone to disagree, or try to kill her, or ... or... or... If you insist J-jumble. I am... still shocked but.. pleasantly so... I s-suppose. But yes, all of us were forced into this. Most.. if not all of the 'lower realmers' were too. Maybe I will offer them passage out... if such a thing is possible too... she said, leaving the question for the dragon to answer.
T-things weren't perfect, b-but... I had.. fun. I think.
Devona stepped back to listen and watch, her heart already yearning for her home, but feeling tugs of empathy toward the new keeper of the crown, Kashika. All still a bit strange to her in a way, but she also knew how burdensome some things can be. Having only traveled with the group for a short time she didn't want to burden them with useless chatter, but she did offer a light bit of fog around Kashika as she put her clothing on, not really caring whether she was dressed or not. It wouldn't have been the first time Devona had gone around naked herself. Not that she did that a lot but it didn't bother her either. She almost wished she had been with them from the beginning, but also glad things had resolved as they did. Once they were ready to pass to their homeland, Devona would offer a slight bow at Kashika and reaffirm her promise to aid should it ever become necessary, then prepared herself to leave.
"Sounds to me like you'll be a fine queen," Nygil says to Kashika, grinning and poking Whicket as he speaks (since he's likely in shock or something lol). "You should be honored little guy. ...so long as you don't mind staying in this place that is." He laughs, realizing he maybe shouldn't have said that last part. Oh well, Whicket probably didn't even hear him what with his attention being elsewhere.
"Alrighty then! I really hate goodbyes so let's just say see you soon okay?" He gives Kashika a bow, flourishing his hand as he does. "All hail Kashika Queen of Dusk and Dawn... or Queen of the Day perhaps?" He laughs, "In all seriousness, it has been a pleasure working alongside you. I sure enjoyed myself. My only regret is that I didn't get to fight one of those giant worms... though if you do figure out a way to summon me here. And you need someone to help you clobber one of the two wannabe rulers..." He winks, "Well I'd be more than willing to help you beat them into submission."

I had.. fun. I think.
Occassional Dungeon Master.
