Horatio Hirschfeld - Squire imbued with fae powers, in the Coliseum of Conquest (W2/L1) DM for Reavers of Harkenwold, and sometimes The Fighting Grounds of the Coliseum
Thea slowly sinks to the floor, her back to the wall. She's quite exhausted now that the adrenalin wears off.
"Thank you so much. For a moment i really thought this might be the end of the road for me." She says with a long sigh and smiles at Fjorgin. Thea rests on the floor for several minutes and then grabs a flask out of her backpack.
Potion of Healing: 9
With a surprised look on her face, she looks back into the bag and grabs another flask. She clearly didn't know she had two of those. Thea offers the other potion to Fjorgin as he himself seems to have suffered not much less than she did.

Fjorgin drinks the other potion, restoring 6 HP.

Liavyre moves away from her corner on the far side of the room and pats Thea on the shoulder, "Not to worry, we wouldn't leave a friend to dissolve in that...thing. Not an end I would want for anyone."
She continues saying to no one in particular, "Job well done everyone. Should we rest for a bit? By the way...Thea did you discover anything about that chalice before you were engulfed?"
There are ways out of the room, one in each of the cardinal directions. Checking each passageway, the passage directly across from the way you came seems to have a large silver door at the end of a hallway. It has intricate markings on it that are hard to make out at this distance. To the left and right are other passageways which seem to twist to run parallel to the passage with the silver door.

Now that shes getting over the shock, Thea decides to pull herself together and go back to what she initially set out for: examining both the oil and the chalice.
Checking over the yellow oil, it seems somewhat solidified, like hardened amber. The chalice on the inside, while the perception is warped from the solid mass, seems to have intricate patterns depicting old religious iconography. It seems the best way to get it would be to break the hardened casing around it.
If there's any particular method you wish to do that with, please let me know (if you have any equipment to assist etc.). I'll determine what sort of check it is based on what tools you might (or might not) use.
Her first attempt will be to just try and move the chalice by pushing against it from different directions to see if it will suffice to free it from the oil, eventually using the knife from the mess kit to circle the cup. (Just tell me what suits it best).
If that doesnt work, Thea will take out the torch and the tinderbox from her pack. She will proceed by lighting up the torch, if possible just like that, and hold it over the puddle of oil to warm up the liquid and then pull out the chalice.
(Just let me know whether those thoughts can be realized)
Thea begins to work at carving the oily substance from the chalice (it'll be a sleight of hand check)
Ragmin heads into the corridor to the north. The door that he sees before him seems to be made of the same silver substance (adamantine) as the great gates of Allhaven. Very strong, very durable. Depicted on it are patterns of people, each with a mark of the divine, and each of a different one of the five gods. There appears to be an imprint in the doors, which looks like a Y shape, where the head of the letter is curved. The indent seems to be about an inch deep, the stem of the Y being around a half foot in length. It appears to be connected to a dial of some sort, perhaps it is the "key" to the door. Regardless, when Ragmin attempts to open the door, it does not budge.
Thea begins to scrape at the solidified oily substance with her knife. It looks like it'll work, but will take a few minutes.
As for the substance:
It appears to be something that has crystalised over time. Whatever it is didn't seem to be affected by the gelatinous cube when it was over it, which seems to have prevented it from dissolving the chalice.
Fjorgin utters a prayer, healing Thea. (Thea: 15/34 HP)
With the gelatinous cube destroyed, the group sees that the oily yellow stuff on the floor appears to still be there with the chalice still in it.

Fjorgin takes Thea's extra potion of healing, his wounds being soothed by its restorative properties. (Fjorgin: 20/36)
The room is quiet once again, the puddle of acid lightly bubbling.

(Thea didn't get a chance to check over the chalice yet. She kinda walked into a gelatinous cube. )
Ragmin looks around. (is there any other paths out of this room or is this it?)

Thea will, with utmost care, attempt to loosen the chalice out of the hardend oil in a way that hopefully wont break the cup.

By the way, does Thea learn whether there is anything special about the oil?

OOC: Approximately how far away is Ragmin from the main group?
Liavyre says, "Be careful Ragmin, with all that armor on you might alert something up ahead."
