After learning about the sentinel, Thea's face lights up in excitement although she appears to be decently intimidated after hearing the news. As Liavyre walks away, Thea closes her eyes and readies herself to react to the slightest indications of danger.
To Liavyre (telepathically):
"I'm sorry Lia, i dont mean to disturb you in any way, this is just me being really cautious. This should give us the opportunity to communicate without having anyone else realize, so please let me know the moment your meeting is going downhill. Same if you feel like you cant reach the sentinel, this type of link should enable me to speak with it. It would be a real shame to blow this opportunity, plus most of us probably wouldnt survive it unscathed."
"I am a part of a band of adventurers seeking to rid the northern forest of the rising corruption within it. We would not enter your realm without your permission, nor do we pose any danger to the forest or the peaceful creatures who make it their home. If you wish me to introduce them, I shall..."
She holds up her palm to the group just to make sure they know to not come forward, yet.

The huge wooden beast slowly advances to the edge of the treeline. It can be seen now that the features of this plant bull are lightly covered in ivy-like vines, helping it seemingly blend in with its environment. After a couple of seconds it begins to continue towards Liavyre, its intentions still unknown.
Liavyre (and others who are watching) can make an Insight check if they so wish.
"Why is it walking towards us? I don't like this." Fjorgin's hand slowly inches toward his morningstar.

Canary and Filtch:
The wooden creature seems to be angered by the appearance of the group, it's advance looks to be almost like a predator stalking towards something.
Fjorgin and Liavyre:
The wooden sentinel is coming closer potentially to investigate Liavyre better. Though it's face is in a permanent fixture, the wooden eyes somehow show signs of intellect and inquisitiveness, as if it understood Liavyre's words and it testing her intentions.
(Just gonna put an initiative order down in case anyone wants to act upon the above)
"Nobody do anything stupid yet. Just let Liavyre talk." Fjorgin's hand goes back to his side, away from his weapon.

Liavyre remains in place and does not give any hostile intentions towards it.
In Elvish, "Here, a gesture of my intent."
She puts her shortswords and bow on the ground beside her (that were not in her hands in the first place) and shows her empty hands in a gesture of non-violence. She then takes out a spring of mistletoe in her hand and casts Goodberry producing 10 berries from it, cupped in both palms of her hands. She outstretches them towards the sentinel, offering them to it as a gift.
Hearing the others mumble in slight distress, Thea opens her eyes again. She watches the sentinel draw closer to Liavyre, but decides not to intervene in any way and wait for what is next to come.
The wooden sentinel marches forward away from the treeline to beside Liavyre. As she holds the goodberries up, the sentinel's eyes seem to emit a faint green glow. The goodberries then rumble and fall from Liavy're hand, sprouting slightly as they fall into the floor. The sentinel then seems to turn to head back towards the forest.
For Liavyre:
You believe this means that the sentinel is pleased with your token and may pass.
"...uhm, hey...what is that supposed to mean now? It didn't seem like we made much of an impression. Are we allowed to pass? Does it want us to follow it?" , Thea raises her voice with a puzzled look on her face, now that the sentinel has turned its back on the group.
Liavyre motions the group forward with a sigh of relief, "We're safe. Come on out. Thankfully it likes berries...we may enter the forest. Definitely not following it though. We shouldn't press our luck further." She goes to pick up her weapons, but sits on the ground while kneeling to pick them up. Taking a brief moment to gather to her thoughts as everyone walks over.
After a brief pause she takes out her small book and begins drawing a very brief sketch of the sentinel while it's still fresh in her mind, as well as sketching its "footprints"
Liavyre says while making her notes, "I'm just glad we didn't have to fight it. I'd rather not have any of us turn into a plant, permanently. However, I'm glad we saw it...an extraordinarily rare sight, but I'm glad it's gone."
She finishes up her quick sketches and notes, stands up, checks her equipment, and says, "Anyway, shall we press on? Since we're entering a forest we can proceed swiftly and without fear of getting lost. Oh wait, I nearly forgot..."
Taking out the circlet from the slain Giant's loincloth that she took earlier, "Since we have a moment we can inspect this. I'm not very knowledgeable with these. Who wishes to take a look? Pip, do you happen to recognize it?"
Liavyre holds it out for anyone to take or inspect.
