The rumbling and shouting continues for another couple of minutes before there is a even bigger shudder of the ground, dust and dirt falls from the ceiling before it starts to go quiet again.
The remainder of the rest continues uninterrupted as the group manages to have a long rest.
"It'll be getting late." Pip says, picking up his pack again. "We might have to do some night travelling. Keep an eye out for anything suspicious, nights can be dangerous. Keep close." Pip leads the group through the following tunnel, where a thick amount of foliage conceals this entrance as the group returns to the open hills of the Giant Steppe. The sky seems to be a burnt amber colour as it is getting to sunset. Some trees provide some cover nearby, as well as some rocky outcrops that would make good ambush spots for smaller creatures.
(If you want to pick a marching order for once you're back outside, please choose if you're keeping to the front, centre, or rear of the group)

Liavyre says, "A shame to be out of the forest, but I'm starting to get used to hills. I'll scout ahead, but will be in sight."She takes her position beyond the main group, using the trees and shadows as cover. When on open hills, she hunches over to create a low profile, ready to dive into a nook at a moments notice as she scans her surroundings.
Filtch Rolls over In his sleep "Could somebody shove a cork in Garith's face his snoring is going to kill me before the lower ever gets the chance."

Checking behind where you came, up the hill a fair ways, you can see the form of an enormous hill giant, bigger than the one you took down together, broken and bloody in a pile. It looks like something snapped its neck and has feasted on its bloated belly, its carcass open and entrails poured onto the hillside. Perhaps that was something that happened when that disturbance woke you a few hours ago.
"Whatever that was, I hope we don't bump into it." Pip replies, switching his shortsword out for his shortbow. "We should be able to use the foliage as cover for the time being. Just keep an eye out."
(Could I get a group Stealth check please? DC 12 and it'll be a majority pass rule. I'll keep Liavyre's roll from above in post #383)

The group continues through the various bits of terrain as quietly as they can while attempting to avoid any sort of additional conflict. Thanks to Canary and Liavyre, they manage to stop others from accidentally snapping fallen twigs or knocking rocks to cause additional noise.
At one point the group sees a pair of hill giants smashing a large boulder up and down on something on the ground that now appears to just be paste. Fortunately they seem too distracted to notice the group silently sneak by.
"It's getting late." Pip comments to the others in a hushed tone. "Guess the nocturnal creatures will be getting up soon. We should be able to travel by starlight, though." Continuing forth, he stops them again before they enter what appears to be a quarry-like area between a couple of hills. "Stone giant territory." He comments quietly. "We can either travel through, or risk being spotted atop the hill. No tunnel for us this time to sneak through."
Liavyre, "Hard to say which would be worse—surrounded in a quarry or surrounded atop a hill. We would be able to navigate better at night on high ground and see potential threats easier. Ultimately, both have pros and cons, so I will go with whichever you all prefer. I miss the trees."

We dont know what else might be lurking in there, going on top will at least give us a position that is defendable and wont turn into an ambush. If there's anything lurking here, it's going to notice us either way. Plus, as mentioned, we'll have better vision, so my votes on going up."

Canary seeing that the question might become an issue grabs a nearby stick, of If their is none, a bone from his pack, and draws a T graph in the dirt with the word “Quarry” on the left side, and “Hill” on the right side.
He puts a single tally into quarry, and then looks to the rest of the group, offering the branch/bone to whoever seems interested.

Liavyre holds up a hand to signal everyone to stop. She then points the top tip of her bow towards the gruesome sight.
"Only something incredibly powerful could snap the neck of that giant's size. We must be close."

He points at the hill, and smashes two pebbeles on the ground togeather, trying to communicate a violent point across to his teammates.
