Pip looks at the circlet, then shakes his head. "Sorry, it doesn't ring a bell. Could be from anywhere, maybe a bit of lost treasure in the hills that it came across. Well done on taming the sentinel, though. I'd heard tales of one, but never seen one here. There must be something dangerous about, so let's get out of the open."
Pip leads the others towards the treeline. The wooden sentinel seems to watch the group, but does not engage; it appears the group has gained its favour. Pip leads the group to a small rocky outcrop within the copse of trees. With a trained eye, people can see a small tunnel hidden between the rocks. "You might need to crawl for a bit, but there's an opening further in where we can have a quick rest and patch up after that giant."
"Oh, keep an eye out though." Pip comments, taking one of his shortswords out before getting into the tunnel. "Sometimes a snake might find its way into the path." Pip also holds in his other hand a jar with some fireflies in, allowing for dim illumination in the tunnel.
The tunnel itself is about 3 and a half feet in diameter. Most have to crawl through here, though the halflings are mostly comfortable wandering through. After about 10 minutes of traversing, the tunnel seems to open up into a small cavern, dome-shaped with around 15 feet radius. There is a small crate in the corner. "Here's a good place to stop for a bit." Pip says. "Should be safe from the giants and stuff."
(OOC: Should you wish to take a short or long rest, feel free to work out which. Also, LEVEL UP TO LEVEL 4!)
Liavyre puts the circlet away for now until we get to a safe place.
"Let's just not press our luck with it. Anyway, I'll scout ahead and do try to keep up, for we're in my favored terrain." She says with a smile.
Scouting ahead, she appears to be completely at home and moves through the forest swiftly, using the terrain to her advantage with grace and skill. All the while keeping her senses honestly for any sign of danger or significance.

Just a reminder:
You are particularly familiar with one type of natural environment and are adept at traveling and surviving in such regions. Choose one type of favored terrain: arctic, coast, desert, forest, grassland, mountain, swamp, or the Underdark. When you make an Intelligence or Wisdom check related to your favored terrain, your proficiency bonus is doubled if you are using a skill that you’re proficient in.
While traveling for an hour or more in your favored terrain, you gain the following benefits:
Difficult terrain doesn’t slow your group’s travel.
Your group can’t become lost except by magical means.
Even when you are engaged in another activity while traveling (such as foraging, navigating, or tracking), you remain alert to danger.
If you are traveling alone, you can move stealthily at a normal pace.
When you forage, you find twice as much food as you normally would.
While tracking other creatures, you also learn their exact number, their sizes, and how long ago they passed through the area.
Edit - OOC: How fitting to roll a Nat 20 for the 1st roll in her favored terrain.

Please apply the perception to inside the dome shaped cavern. Anything inside the crate?
Liavyre inspects inside the cavern before sitting down and taking out the circlet again.
Liavyre checks the area around her. The cavern looks like it hasn't been used in a few weeks. The small crate appears to be some sort of small provisions box for the scouts that come through here. Inside there are a ten day's worth of rations within there, looking still edible and fresh.
She also notes that one of the larger rocks on the ground seems to be movable. Checking beneath it she finds a small golden ring in a pouch, as well as 15 gold pieces.
"And while we're at it, this might be our last chance to get some rest before entering seriously hostile terrain. I'd love to get as much sleep as possible, only Pelor knows when we'll be able to do so again."
Canary looks silently at you all, not making any comments about our current dwelling, other then a quick dusting of the area he plops down in. As soon as he hears “rest”, he closes his eyes and goes deathly still.

Perception 8
Insight 10
If there are any magical or religious aspects to it, she will defer that to Thea, who is knowledgeable of such things.
The group settles down for a long rest, thankful that there is some shelter away from the giants. Pip comments that it'll take longer to get to their destination, but isn't going to argue the case.
Liavyre and Thea:
You spend a while looking at the two golden circles (the ring and the circlet). Both look pretty old, but have kept their sheen, showing that they must have some magical property. With some closer inspection, there are some subtle markings on the circlet that appears to be a sunburst, while the ring has markings that look almost like a coat of arms.
Should you wish to discern the true nature of the items beyond speculation, you could either attempt to attune to the item, or use the identify spell.
While the others lay down to get some sleep, Thea decides to stay up just for a little longer to inspect the circlet. As the minutes go by, however, it starts dawning on her that she won't be learning anything else about the jewelery by just looking at it. As if she was snapping out of a trance, she realizes that Liavyre is still up and discovered yet another weird, seemingly also magical item. Since the ring as well does not give away more information than basic clues drawn from its appearance, Thea calls out to Liavyre, projecting the words directly into her mind. While she might have seemed as if in a bad mood before, she now sounds distinctly displeased, although you can tell it is rather directed at herself than at anyone else.
"Hey Lia, may i have a look at that piece please? I can't stand not knowing what we're dealing this, and even if it is a bit annoying, i should be able to shed some light on these items with a little focus."
Assuming the ring and the circlet will both be in range of 5 feet, Thea will close her eyes and concentrate on casting Item Lore (which basically gives you the feats of Identify) on both the ring and the circlet.
Thea quietly meditates while keeping a check on the circlet and the ring:
She determines that the golden ring is a Ring of Protection, and the circlet is a Circlet of Blasting. Both of them appear to be in fully working condition, quite useful items for the group.
"Alright, i think i got it. That ring you just found is a Ring of Protection and this smelly bracelet we got from the giant actually is a Circlet of Blasting. I guess those might be quiet usefull for the rest of our trip, so we should rather take than leave 'em. I'd say it's up to the group's decision how to distribute them, though i guess i'll be taking that circlet. You all seem to have a preference for real weapons. I understand your kind doesnt need to rest as much as i do, so feel free to tell the rest what we discovered, should i not wake up in time."
With that, she hands out both items, closes her eyes and begins to sleep.
"Perhaps I could take that ring. Protection sounds nice."

Liavyre says "Hmm, it sounds as if one of our stout companions could use the ring. The circlet sounds as if it would be useful for a lore master such as yourself — I don't really have use for either. Thank you for looking at them. I'm going to meditate for 4 hours, then I can take watch. Whomever is awake in 4 hrs, please wake me."
Liavyre leaves the ring and circlet, then goes into her trance for 4 hours, appearing very exhausted from the fight and then stressful encounter with the forest sentinel.
The group decides to rest in this underhill haven, taking shifts as they rest.
As it gets to about halfway through the resting, there is a rumbling in the ground, and the low bellow and echoes can be heard coming into the caverns, waking everyone.
