He will also be looking to upgrade his old leather armor to either a chain shirt our studded leather.....(I'm counting 40 gold plus whatever trade value I can get for the old leathers.....leaving 5 gold for modest life expense and ale expense)
The group arrives at the Wavecaller's Resort to rest for the week after finishing their task.
Alton and Sandral lived comfortably, each having a private room at the resort. The rooms facing the sunrise on the beach, as they sleep on fine silk beds with pillows made of down feathers. They are served with a lavish continental breakfast, a lunch buffet with different local seafoods, and dinner at their casino restaurant.
The management gave Alton a free room as long as he performs at their local casino. They both met Grabanzo, the owner of Garbanzo's Magnificent Store.
Pleased at the bard's performance and meeting potential customers, he invites them to visit his humble store in case they need supplies, giving them a 10% discount for their first purchase.
Sandral also learned that it was the Garbanzo's youngest son that commissioned the quest of finding a pet but doesn't know if it truly is a duck.
(Alton doesn't have to pay his lifestyle expense because of his background. Alton earned 28 gold. Sandral. Sandral spends a total of 14 gold.)
Jeff, Riskah, Logum, Sen'ra, and Rinc lived modestly sharing a room in a boarding house at the resort. They are served with simple bacon and eggs and a cup of coffee for breakfast, a bowl of stew with bread on the side for lunch, and grilled fish with a small portion of seaweed for dinner with a mug of cold ale.
Jeff, sold his wood carvings of different animals to goblin children. Sen'ra, and Rinc were temporarily hired to move crates from the ships down to the port.
Riskah preached about her goddess Tymora near the casino, the goblins claimed they became lucky after hearing her sermons. Her patron goddess gave her a boon for spreading her faith. (You have advantage on your next downtime activity spent on gambling.)
Logum spent his week carousing with local fishermen and pearl divers, learning more about their custom of offering a small food to the mother sea before working as a sign of respect for the bountiful harvest they gain.
(Jeff, Sen'ra, and Rinc doesn't spend or gain gold for the week. Rinc traded his Leather armor for a Chain shirt, spending all of his gold. Logum spends a total of 17 gold. Riskah spends a total of 7 gold. )
A week had passed and the day to meet the Grand Advisor has come.
(I know with the short sword it should come out to 16gp so far but I do not know the price for getting the close fixed up to fit him.)
Alton will take the offer for ten percent off on his first purchase and use it to buy himself a short sword and three new daggers. While he his there he will ask Garbanzo if there is any way to have the fine clothes he got from the drunken elf Orlando tailored to fit him. H will explain that he wants to show up at the meeting with the Grand Advisor looking clean and refined.
"I'm sorry to say but we do not sell weapons and armor, the old bugbears makes and sells them.
Old Kurguhul makes metal equipments while his wife Kargasta is the one that specializes in fabrics. My store specializes in tools used by adventurers. We even have a spyglass if you have the gold.
As for your fine clothes, Kargasta can adjust them for free. She is a kind old lady, even though his husband is cranky."
Garbanzo points you to the Ye Olde Bugbears.

"I thank you for telling me this. I shall returnnsoon once I go over all the supplies that I need." Alton says as he pays the goblin a gold piece before he follows the direction he was given to the bugbear owned shop. He wil go into the shop and find what he needed before walking up to Kurguhul. "I would like to know how much it costs for this fine short sword and three daggers?" He planned to worry about the weapons and then his closes, surprising as it was for someone that seemed to care about his appearance.

Alton nods to the bugbear thst towers over him, still looking as confident as normally did even though he did not even reach 3ft in height. To start off with he will use the daggers as he is skilled with the two he normally uses. He first goes through a few moves with two of the daggers, using his college of swords training to show he could use them both to perform and to fight. Next he would show that he could use the shortsword as well, once again dual wielding it with a dagger.
(I wasn't sure if you wanted me to roll for anything pr not so just let me know and I will.)
Alton will put the money for the shortsword and dagger on the table, carefully counting out the coins the bugbear had told. The halfling will test out each blade and smile as he finds that the shortsword is a good fit. "I thank you for such fine weapons. I can clearly tell that they will serve me well both in and out of combat." The halfling says as he bows in thanks to Kurguhul before he turns to his wife.
"In fact I do madam. I was given clothing as a gift but the giver did not account for my much smaller frame." He explains to her as he pulls the clothing out of his pack and shows it to her.
Kargasta mistakes you for kid because of Alton's height and her poor eyesight as she reaches for her measuring tape to accurately know your size. She adjusts the clothes you brought for a few minutes and hands them back.
"Here, try them. If you have any friends you should bring them here."
Kargasta whispers to your ears,
"Just tell them they were with you since the old man hands decorative weapons to those that doesn't have discerning eyes. Keep this a secret to that cranky husband of mine", she winks at you.

Alton twitches a bit at being called a young child but does not let it show as he could not blame the elderly bugbear as she had admitted to having bad eyesight due to her age. He will try them on as asked and smiles as he find that they fit him very well, putting his other clothes back in his pack in favor of these. "I will most certainly do so madam. Thank you for tailoring my clothes and I will be sure to return if I need anything else tailored so expertly." He offers her a bow in thanks once more.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Sandral will thank Garbanzo for his hospitality. "You have a wonderful establishment here, I have enjoyed my stay immensely. However, there are matters that will need to be tended to, I am here to aid in quests and any ills that may befall this area. There are rumours that even some of your dearest may have some problems. Pray tell, is there something that a man, such as myself, could assist in on this matters. I will of course follow the correct procedures, but if it is true that one of the bills has interest for yourself, I would happily aid where I can."
Money taken off for the week stay. If Garbanzo's deal spreads over to being able to buy clothes, fine then Sandral would most likely want to pick up a fresh set of clothing
Realizing he may not have this much coin in hand again anytime soon, Logum will replace his armor with studded leather, selling his leather armor if it's worth anything before trying to track down his companions to take up another job.
After a week of selling his carvings Jeff decides to look for a place that may be selling a better quality bow. He knows that he may need other upgraded gear before taking another notice. "May be some bracers, or a helmet of some kind?" He thinks to himself as he walks around town. However, his first priority is a brand new long bow.
"Just be careful if you want to take it. Two groups tried finding this so-called duck, both of them never returned.
If you want fine clothes, we have a selection for formal occasions from a wide array of places."
He shows a closet full of fine clothes ranging from handcrafted embroidered gowns, silk woven robes laid with intricate golden patterns of flying birds, a loose desert outfit with a fancy large gem on the turban, and a captain's uniform that comes with a tricorn.
Both Logum and Jeff meets Alton at the Ye Olde Bugbear's entrance as he was about to leave. They were introduced to Kurguhul.
The old bugbear looks at them first and asks,
"I'll trade your leather and 40 gold with a studded leather fit for your size. As for you, your longbow seems good enough for now. If you want something good with that weapon of yours, I have a Bracers of Archery for 300 gold pieces. You can't find this things lying on the ground. Unless..."
Kurguhul scratched his chest fur for a bit,
"I have a job posted at the Taskmaster's Hall about the sunken ship. If you finish the task, I'll give this bracers for half the price."
Riskah, roll an Inteligence (Religion) or Charisma (Persuasion) check to see what happens on your religious service.

Since you never put what lifestyle you want to use, I just assumed a modest lifestyle that cost 1 gold/day.
Oh, yeah that makes sense. Sorry. Nevermind.

The old bugbear points with his missing hand replaced by a detachable hook at his wares,
"It costs a total of 16 gold pieces" he opens his left eyepatch and looks at you clearly from head to toe,
"But before I sell them, I need to see you use them in front of me. After that, I'll adjust them for you.
I don't want anyone coming back complaining they can't use my weapons because they are actually incompetent."

Old Kurguhul raises his hand open, "Stop, I've seen enough. Hand me those back, they are just for show. Let me get something fitting of your skills."
The old bugbear places the weapons back to his display rack and goes to the back of the smithy.
A few minutes have passed, he came back with a [Tooltip Not Found] and three daggers.
"This shortsword serves me well back in the days. May you use it well, this lady needs some lovin'."
Kurguhul returns back to his rocking chair outside the smithy soaking for the rays of sunrise,
"That cranky old husband of mine really quite take a liking at you."
You see an old bugbear wearing glasses,
"Is there anything that you need regarding clothes? This eyes mine might be a hazy but this hands definitely remembers how to sew."
( Added the equipment to Alton's inventory. Just reduce a total of 16 gold spent. )
