“No, that is fine, we appreciate you… Smig.” Kas thanks Aisha and Duncan for loaning him the coin to complete the purchase and have a 5 gp reserve. “These will come in handy…”. He begins studying the Dark Shard amulet, attempting to attune to it. “Where to now? Should we check on Elder Bruth?”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Kasbis takes a long rest, sleeping with the shard under his pillow, attuning to it. He wakes up after a night of tossing and turning, remembering the mask turning to look at him and using the bone sword to hack the branch off the tree, feeling helpless…. The mask falls off, and his father’s face looks at him and says “Why Kas, why couldn’t you do it?” … And he awakens with a start.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Out on the dining table is a sumptuous breakfast of toast, eggs, and bacon. With a fruit salad, coffee, and juice. You hear someone gathering some silverware from the kitchen. Sitting at the table is Elder Bruth who finally has some color in her cheeks, but looks haggard at best.
Ready to dig in to the feast set in front of him, Duncan then sees Bruth prepaing things and immediatly jumps up to head to her, taking the silverware and saying, "Sit sit! rest! I'll set this all out." He then collects any plates or anything needed for the table, remembering his manners, setting it all out for the others before sitting down to eat. He then says, "Now that we're mostly rested... What is next? That Mask has part of the tree... though they likely haven't got any of our emeralds correct?" Passing a piece of salty bacon down to Shai who is close at his heels he continues, "What else was needed again? We can likely guess their next destination..."
"I spoke to Amenia and mithril can be found at the Silver Summit. The Trinity temple is located at its base. I can write a letter vouching for you, but once you enter the temple grounds you and your companions are on your own. I also want to give you something. Amenia is out retrieving it. Well lets have some breakfast first"says Elder Bruth after giving Duncan an appreciative pat on his shoulder.
Kasbis sits down to breakfast, strangely famished. His body is sore, from the trials of the day before, it seems to have passed so quickly. “I have a little sample of the emeralds in my pouch, just a couple. If there is anything you can give us to help us in this task, it would be much appreciated. How are you feeling today? You need to rest again today, Elder Bruth. Do you know this Baron, the one with the mask, have you heard of him?”

After breakfast Amenia returns with a small box and gives it to Elder Bruth. She then hands the box to the party. Inside is a black silk handkerchief. "Its a portable hole during my adventuring days. Now lets me write that letter" says Elder Bruth. She heads to Amenia's study and writes a letter with an envelope and wax seal with her signet ring with the heraldry pressed into the wax. She then hands the letter to the party.
"Even though the town is lost I still have my people. For now we will stay here. Amenia can open a portal back into town. Just tell her when ready."says Elder Bruth.
She sits on the couch in the living room should anyone have anymore questions. Amenia waits nearby for when the party is ready to leave.
Aisha sips her coffee, "Clearly this Baron has no qualms attacking holy places. Do you think he'll need time to regroup at his estate after this attack, or is it likely that he'll use the momentum of this attack and move on to the next item in his list? Is the place the emeralds come from safe too? If it's an easy or well known target he may want to roll over that on his way to the Mithril."
Kasbis takes the letter and then nods when Aisha says this, following with “The emerald mine in the desert, should we check on their progress, or assume that they have remained safe? That is one other resource that the Baron needs and surely he will turn his attention there. This portable hole is nice, it should come in handy, we can store things inside of it? Any other way that you used it when you were adventuring? Clearly the Baron must be stopped, we must think of a plan to attack him and win this time.” Kasbis pauses, a question is bothering him. “Elder Bruth, will the Chiracki tree recover? Will it live, after it has been damaged?”

Elder Bruth gives a weary shrug "I am not sure, but I hope with time it can heal. Yes you can store items in the portable hole. I mainly used it for storage" says Elder Bruth
“I would be good if we could send a message back to home at least,”Duncan says. “We had only just arrived, and we left the father, daughter team there, who is likely wondering what has happened to us. But we likely do not need to go all the way back if nothing calls us. The Baron likely will not waste any time before he moves on; and I’ve gotta finish what I started when we met last…”
Starting to wake up now that she's had some coffee Aisha seems to be perking up, "That hole will come in handy, anything rolling around in there already we should be aware of? Assuming the mine is safe is a risk, assumption is the mother of all screw ups. Is it possible to check on them on our way to the Silver Summit? If so what are the chances we may find some valuable diamonds there? Since our battle I've come to understand a new spell which will be a great aid should one of you fall in battle, but it requires a very valuable diamond."
To Duncan she says, "We will do everything to stop this masked Baron, but don't let the desire consume you. It's justice we need to seek."
“Duncan, will you carry the portable hole? It does indeed look as though it may be of use to us. So we travel to the Silver Summit.” He turns to Duncan and Aisha, “Are you ready?” Kas nods and gets his items prepared for travel.

Rolling up the hole, Duncan slides it into his pack. And then seeing Aisha grab a handfull of a bacon, does the same, but he's not good at saving for later, so immediatly just puts it in his mouth as some extra energy for the road. "mgghmgm" he says, nodding as he chews, clearly ready to head out as well.

Everyone can head to bead and by morning Elder Bruth should be better.

The smell of fresh bread and sizzling bacon wafts into the room.
Aisha having slept harder than she had in her life, groggily wakes. Her hair a mangled mess she follows the smells wiping the drool from her face.
