Weary Aisha looks over at Kasbis getting up from his short rest, "I don't know about you but I'm going to need longer to rest before I fully recover my ability to cast." She lifts her hand and tips an invisible cup, "I'm drained."
Seeing Kasbis getting a little fidgety Aisha says, "I don't know that we want to do anything with the circles or treasure until we can talk with Ellsia, we don't want to trigger any traps or take a portal to somewhere hostile if we have a way to avoid it. Give me time to get enough rest and I'll be able to cast more powerful magic again, I have some restorative magic that should help once I'm able to cast."
I'm going to set in for a long rest, if we need to do any checks before hitting long rest let me know.
"Resting is fine as long as she won't get worse," Duncan says carefully putting his charge down, and adding, "We have no way to go back anyway, so we may as well be ready for what is ahead of us. Is there any way to scout ahead to see though? Maybe town is right through that hole..."
@two - as I asked above, you could send your snake through a hole to scout. You can send it through, it will look around, then you temporarily dismiss the familiar to a pocket dimension, then you can cause it to reappear in any unoccupied space within 30 feet of you, where it would report to you what it saw.
Kas heeds Duncan’s advice, and sends Gaz across to the teleportation circle. Gaz takes a look at the chest, Kasbis seeing through his eyes. Then he has Gaz enter the teleportation circle, looking where it leads, then he has it disappear…. And reappear next to him if all goes well.

(Whoa, didn’t know there were three of them. I imagined us further away from the chest, backed us up on the map. The one he would have gone in was the one that is straight away, behind the chest. Put an arrow to it on the map. Are we taking a long rest?)

Too early for a long rest, but you can wait several more hours then take a long rest. The teleportation circle to the east is in the water. 10ft down. If gaz swims down to it he will find himself transported to another body of water much deeper and larger than the pool he came from. He can see up through the water to see the afternoon sky,
Aisha watches Gaz swim to the portal, "I always enjoy that they swim pretty much how they move on land. If we tried walking through the water it would be a terrible swimming technique. I'll keep an eye on Ellsia as we rest, the last time I examined her she seemed stable but needing some powerful healing. Depending on what Gaz finds while scouting we'll see if we should stay here for a while to rest or if he finds us a path."
Kasbis sends Gaz to the teleportation circle to the left, urging him to go through and report back to his mind what he sees and senses through the other side - -

The teleportation glows for a moment but does not transport Gaz back into the mine as the teleportation circle in the mine is cover by several layers of rock.
"I don't think I can sleep quite yet..."Duncan says. "If that portal leads to outside that's a good start. Let's see what the others show first. and... should we check out that chest?"
Kasbis has Gaz reappear from his pocket dimension and reappear beside him. Then he uses his mage hand from 30 feet away to open the chest. “Let’s see what is inside - we are going to need to find our way out though. One more circle to try.“

Kas uses his mage hand to pick up some of the gold and gems in the chest and bring it to him. “How was this left here… who could have left this…” He looks around, as it seems too good to be true.

After and hour passes the party has recuperated some of their vigor from their ordeal in the mine.

(Just added a map and let me know which teleportation circle that Gaz went through)

The chest opens revealing gold, gems, and pearls glittering in the chest.

The gold and gems seem to be more flawless and tantalizing as Kasbis looks upon them as they are near.
Kasbis give me a Wisdom Save DC 13
On fail you are charmed and want nothing more than to go to the treasure chest and bury yourself in the coins, gems, and pearls.
Kasbis considers the treasure, left here unattended, and it doesn’t seem right to him.
Wisdom save : (Nat 20) + 5 = 25

(Nice roll)
Kasbis does feel an unnatural tug on his senses, but he handily dismisses them.
