Merric’s attack stops the zombie in its tracks and as it’s on the ground trying to get up. Merric finishes it off with a quick dagger stab to the brain and the zombie stops moving.
The remaining zombie takes the blast of cold. It very slowly turns to face Keeliel. Slower than it’s been moving. It looks intent on moving towards her on its turn.
Keeliel surveys the terrain, the zombie, lurching from one person to the next, the fallen form of Tomas. Brave, also pretty stupid. She skirts the fight, ands up on her knees by the paladin. "Let's see what we can do here," she mutters in elvish, trying to stanch the bleeding.
Move: to Tomas, away from the zombie Action: Medicine check to try to stabilize Tomas (in game log): 5
Pilo swings again, this time setting his hips and bracing himself for impact and keeping an eye open as the sword makes contact. He has after all had a spot of training.
Keeliel turns and with an annoyed grimace, shoots a ray of cold at the remaining zombie. (16 to hit for 8 dmg) as it sputters and finally dies, she dusts herself off, looking down at Tomas. Clucking her tongue she looks around at the others, and up the path. “Well, someone will have to carry him,” she says.

Pilo reels from the hit to his blind side. He tries to react but is too late, and is about to swing again when the zombie gets taken down by a dagger and then down for good by a blast of ice. He still swings, trying to decapitate it. He then does the same thing to the other two, not wanting any of them to start moving again.
He catches his breath and hears Keeliel, calm, cool, and collected. He raises his eyebrows at her. Then he bends down and retrieves his two arrows. One's in good shape, but the other is a bit damaged. He still keeps it, wondering if he can repair it. Shame to waste good wood. He also cleans off his sword as best he can, before sheathing it. He takes more care with it than he did before, but it's still awkward. And he ensures he secures his bow. He keeps it strung and ready at hand. The sword was less of a disaster than normal. Maybe he was getting the hang of it.
He moves over to Tomas and checks him out to ensure he's still breathing easily. "Well, I admire your bravery, but I, personally, wouldn't make a habit of rushing up to reason with monsters that walk out of the water. Looks like you need medical attention. We'll get you taken care of. Is anyone around here a doctor? Or feel grateful that strangers to your island took care of some monsters for you? Merric, do you want to get his legs and I can try to get his shoulders? The churchfolk might be able to help if none of these people can. Keeliel, that was a good shot at the end there. Want to grab the other leg?"
Keeliel looks like she does not want to help carry Tomas. “You can wield that ridiculous sword, surely you can heft him over your shoulder.” She looks to see if anyone is approaching along the path, but she is a little wary.
Keeliel, as you look towards the path while Merric and Pilo are working out the best way to transport Tomas, you see what looks to be as least six small reptilian like humanoids hurrying down the cliff side path towards you all.
Looking over the group of reptilian creatures approaching they all appear to be dressed in simple clothes and you don’t see any visible weapons. At the distance they are from the group, roughly 100 or so feet, you don’t get the feeling like they are approaching with the intent to attack.
Pilo looks around at the rest of the people on the dock, shore, beach, elsewhere, to see how they are reacting to the 6 new arrivals. Are they nervous? Scared? Ignoring them? Focused on the fight? Who's still around and what are they doing?
The four of you are the only people on the beach. Other than the 6 figures approaching. The two sailors that brought you to the dock are still making their way back to the ship that brought you to the island.

Keeliel steps a little further back and points at the last standing zombie, sending a ray of freezing magic at it!

The remaining zombie takes the blast of cold. It very slowly turns to face Keeliel. Slower than it’s been moving. It looks intent on moving towards her on its turn.
Pilo runs up behind the last zombie and takes another too-wide swing, losing his balance but still connecting, a bit.

After being struck from behind, again, the zombie turns. And clocks Pilo across the face as Pilo attempts to regain his footing.
Merric's attention is solely on the zombie and makes another plunging dagger attack! :)

Merric’s attack just misses as the zombie lurches towards Pilo during its attack.

With one eye open, Pilo connects his strike against the zombie. The zombies returns the hit on Pilo’s blind side.
Merric your turn!
Merric approaches the final zombie, striking it and brining it to the ground. Though it does appear to still be moving.
Keeliel your turn.

Keeliel turns to face them directly. Are they hurrying... to attack?
