Dolmek, you find what you think may have been a 3 way intersection, but one of the passageways, leading in what would probably be towards the center of New Basin, has collapsed.
patially collapsed able to be cleared or fully collapsed never getting through.
Okay, so you charm him and he asks, "Hello! What are you doing with these... why am I all tied up... can you explain this, um, wait, what's your name again?"
"Here, here," and Norr offers him some water, doing what he can to pry the mask gently off his face. "You got quite dinged up back there, does anywhere hurt, can we do anything for you? I fear there's been a case of mistaken identity. You do not appear to be bandits, and I cannot imagine that whatever organisation yourself and your fellows work for can have meant to earnestly target my bardic master and mentor, Sir Cairngorn, or our Tabaxi security detail: Mr. Paws. Normally, we're more used to encountering adulation than retribution. Surely this was an accident."
The mask doesn't come off
"This was no accident. Still, what are you doing with these fellas? And don't try to take my mask off!"

Norr nods seriously.
“Sir Cairngorn, Mr. Paws,” says Norr, in response to the assassin, “I’ll talk to this man, give him a real piece of my mind.” Under his breath, he whispers ‘Don’t worry’, then continues, “You need to make sure there’s no other entrances we can be surprised from.”
(If they move out of sight) Norr removes the mask he took from the previous encounter and shows it the charmed man for a second before putting it back. Through his teeth, he whispers quickly,
”What were your orders? In Le Ulta I infiltrated the group, an ambush was orchestrated so that I might fight with them, gain their trust. It has gone without a hitch, and now they lead me to our goal. Why this second attack, you almost killed their leader, the key to this all.”
”Why? Has the mission changed? How will we now help you escape? What can we tell them to prove your worth, what must we keep secret from them — speak quickly.”
(OCC: Casrian has the closing acorn Brix gave him so he won't have to be led but he only can see a 5 foot radius. Brix will carry a second lighted acorn giving Cas nearly as much visibility as a torch. That's all the magical gizmos Brix can make through his magical tinkering.)
Brix plops down near Casrian and smiles smugly when he sees the well healed wound.

“You didn’t know?” Norr frowns, turns his head to the side and puts his fingers to his lips. He slides past the assassin’s own questions. “And I didn’t know of this second attack. I fear our leaders are less co-operative than I had imagined. Do we not all serve the same ultimate cause?”
Norr looks over his shoulder listening for the others. Quietly, he lies, “I will loosen a knot on one hand and you must strike me, and then escape. We will make our way into the city and obtain the knowledge of the location of what we all desire. You must tell me though, how many of us are there in the city? What other attacks are planned so that I might linger towards the back of the group? Quickly, my friend.”
Norr spins the man around to take the ropes around the man’s wrists in hand. He pulls them so that they jerk, careful to not actually loosen them, but just give the impression that he is working on them.
oh, right, you have advantage. I'll let you choose between sleight of hand (cha) and deception (dex). This is for fake loosening. Proficiency if you have proficiency w/ the skill, advantage if cha.

"Why do you assume that I know any more than you do? I know nothing of our numbers in the city, nor the plans of our organization."
Norr laughs, wryly. “Well you knew of this attack today, clearly, so you knew one more thing than me. Damn these confounded ropes. The gnome tied them, and they seem either to be gnomish magic or gnomish knots beyond me. Hmm. If I call them back, I will ask for them to take you through with us, under the guise of giving you to the authorities, and then we can find a reason to grant you use of your hands, on the way. Then in the city we will contrive a way for your escape.”
”I imagine they may ask their own questions. If you need me to move them away from a dangerous line of inquiry clack your teeth together. If you feel they have guessed something they ought not to, tap your side with your hand, where I’ll be watching.” And Norr demonstrates what he means as he does it. Before the man can ask more he calls out.
“Master Brix! It’s no use, I get nothing. The man is a lock box in his own right. Perhaps the rope chafes or hinders him, can you come check?”
Norr scampers away to get the others back. As he get them to return into sight, he puts a finger to his lips and winks at the assassin.
