Morgran disembarks into the flower field. It's truly a wondrous little spot, but he's focused on looking for signs of danger. Initially you find no worrisome signs, but as you make your way up the gentle slope to the back of the meadow you feel that your misgivings have been justified as you find large tracks crushing the flowers and imprinting the soft soil here. The tracks were unmistakably made by an owlbear. The tracks thankfully lead further away from the meadow.
Back at the River Jewel, Captain Circuit and the tourists have lost their patience. Before you can get back to communicate with them, they have apparently decided that they've waited long enough and they all spring forth into the meadow. Halfling kids are threatening to run amok. Dina and Dewey bark commands to them but it seems like it might be too little too late. Kress also rushes into the meadow, sparing one backward glance at Chester as if to say, Aren't you coming too??
Chester appears to be anguished at his little dilemma. He looks to Gil and says, "Well, chap, what's it going to be?"
It also looks like Dewey and Dina could benefit from some additional help in corralling their kids.
Burt tries to captivate a few of the children with throwing rocks near the river. He imbues a few flat stones with magic (magic stone) to facilitate the throw for less dexterous hands. He hopes some of them will be entertained for the time as they can skip them on to water surface with greater effect due to his magic.
Burt doesn’t join Parth for the investigation of the captain’s chamber, but urges him not to disturb anything, to just look around.

Sorry, I'm beginning to enter a vacation period and while I will try to check-in at least daily, I cannot promise that I will always be able to do so. From September 1, I should be back to normal.
Chester looks a bit disappointed to not accompany Kress ashore in the flower meadow, but takes your key to the food stores and gets a determined look on his face. “I will do what I can with what I have, thank you.”
Burt give a performance check to see how successful you are in enthralling the kids. Gil or others may need to pitch in if the kids are too wild.
Parth, let me know what your next move is.
Morgran, you’re running back with your warning. The captain rolls his eyes and says, “Yes, there’s always some dangerous thing or another around here. But we should be pretty safe if we stick to the meadow and don’t go wandering off. And you could keep a lookout, there’s a good lad.”
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

Gil headed down to meet with Kress, " Chester will meet up with you after the meadow, as I'm sure your aware he has a deadly allergy to bees and....well....the meadow is full of them..."
" He really wanted to come but....well, he wouldn't be a particularly good partner if he was swollen to the size of a house and unable to breath."
" Now lets get along, he's tasked me with keeping you safe and well and theres a lot to see!"
Kress frowns and looks back at Chester, who has remained on the boat. He gives her an apologetic shrug. Kress says, “No, I didn’t know that about the bees……. No matter, we can still have fun!” She appears to shake off the little scenario and runs about in the meadow, exclaiming and pointing at the remarkable variety of lovely flowers to be found here.
At first there’s a bit of chaos in rounding up the halfling kids, but Burt’s tricks, along with the parents Dewey and Dina, and Captain Circuit chipping in to help as well, is sufficient to corral the troop of mischevious halfling girls so that none wander off on their own. They are now also having a nice time in the meadow.
With things settled down a bit, Captain Circuit looks about and says, “I say, where’s Mr Crumbleroot, has anybody seen him?”
Burt looks up in surprise, the he wonders, ‘Renn, where did I see him last? Did he leave the boat with us? Which way did he go?’

Burt, in the chaos of dealing with the halfling kids, you can't recall what Renn was doing. Probably he got off with the others though?
Morgran, with a perception check you can clearly tell that Renn is nowhere to be seen in the meadow. But the flowers and grasses can reach considerable height in places, and Renn was quite short... You could look for evidence of his passing with a survival check. Seems a shame to waste your nice roll there just to look around and not even spot him, you can keep the 20 for survival check. In which case you would indeed see Renn-sized footprints leading up the meadow, seeming to meander a bit which either coincidentally or intentionally led him through deeper patches of grass and flowers. The tracks lead past your lookout spot, he must have snuck right past you, and are headed in the same general direction as the owlbear tracks...
I gather the other employees. "Okay, I found tracks of Renn. He traveled into areas with deeper patches of grass and flowers... they went right past my lookout spot. He must have snuck past me. Additionally, he was heading in the same general direction of the owlbear tracks I found earlier. I say we should go looking for him. I'm getting a little bit suspicious, but either way there's an owlbear there. We should warn him."

What are your game plans at this point?
Gil grimaces, " Its not worth your life...and who knows perhaps the local species is even more venomous."
" Here is the key to the stores....have all her favourite things ready...I will keep her safe, I promise."

In my mind everyone but Chester has disembarked
Morgran scouted the area
Gil and Parth went with Kress
Burt and Captain Circuit helped the halfling family
And Renn was lost in the chaos
Dragonlouis y’all are level 1 !
