Immediately after knocking out the first gremlin, Zim flicked his wrist and landed a blow on red 2 as the gremlin had left itself open. Still hearing Kuro not far away was a bad sign. Had the boy tripped? Zim snapped back into focus. He felt that there wasn't much hope of him making it out of this alive. What a strange day indeed. What a strange life it had been for that matter. Maybe he could buy the others some time...

The battle rages on
As the gremlins attempt to dodge out of the way from her spell, Zim was slashed! Bleeding now he was able to slash back at the beast, the red gremlin was gravely injured but durable enough to keep standing it would seem!
Yellow 3 pushes onward with it's assault striking at Zephyro who had seemed to be now surrounded! Taking a grin and his flashing dagger he had lunged forward!

The red gremlin standing in front of Zim had taken some focus, that focus the yellow gremlin had used to it's advantage! (Rogue sneak damage rules but more limited than actual damage as it only works in tandem with red's and yellows as actual rogues can use it with any ally)

Always thinking their magic can save them"He thinks as he effortlessly deflects the first attack on his mind, and prepares another barrage of attack. (Which he is certain would have ended these annoying blue mages) However, as easily as he deflected the first spell, the second one slips past his defenses so effortlessly that he fails to notice it until it is far to late. He laughs loudly "Hahah! So you all want to fight do you!"He looks around at all the ugly things surrounding him. Wow, he really is outnumbered here. He laughs even harder. What a glorious situation this is. He nearly drops his sickle as he doubles over with laughter. Wait. Why is this funny? He vaguely remembers a spell that causes people to laugh uncontrollably. How hilarious! And he managed to be caught up in one. His parents would be ashamed if they find out about this, but their faces would be priceless! His laughter causes him to stumble backwards a step as he uses his left hand to keep his glasses on. "Oh! You slipped past my defenses did you? Hah! No matter."Chuckling, he points his sickle at one of the blues then pivots around to point at each of the creatures surrounding him, ending with the green one. Then his arm drops as another fit of laughter overtakes him and his left hand shoots up to his face again to hold on to his glasses. This hole ordeal is just so ridiculous, and these gremlins look so stupid. How can he take any of this seriously? Completely at the mercy of the spell, Zephyro fails to notice Zim collapse to the floor...not that he could do anything about it anyway.
As Zim collapses to the cold ground the last thing he'd be able to hear would be Zephyro's laughter. Perhaps not a grand thing for one's morale but sadly what Zim could not see was Kuro had valiantly returned! Panting and out of breath but he had arrived. However he hadn't done so alone a blonde man in a white and shining.. Well suit rather than mail. His longsword and shield brandished, a soft smile before contorting to more a serious expression upon seeing Zim bleeding on the floor.
Zahira! You're friend brought me, I'll do my best to help out okay? Wait.. Why is you're other friend laughing? The situation is rather serious isn't it..?

With that he looked forward at the gremlins surrounding Zephyro! A grimace on his face, however he managed to force forward a somewhat nervous smile.

"Those bloody creatures! They made me look like a fool!"He growls to himself as he glances at the blue gremlins. "I'd better take them out first."Wiping his hair out of his eyes, he glances towards his companions only to see Arthur running his way. Had the paladin seen his outburst? No matter, he needs to focus on the task at hand. Gritting his teeth, he grips his sickle and prepares to strike at the blue gremlins, while doing his best to ignore his wounds.
Kuro blinks, stumbling as the paladin drags him back into the room. It takes him a long moment to catch his breath and take in the scene around him...well at least they weren't dead yet... He takes note of Zim... well, most of them weren't dead yet. He clenches a fist, blinking in disbelief that Zim was actually laying unconscious on the ground AT A SCHOOL! Good grief were there no safety policies here? Shouldn't there be some sort of protection against things like this?
And then there was Zephiro...he was...laughing? Was he crazy or...no it was a spell... right? He squints, then nods...yes it had to be a spell. His suspicions were confirmed as the wizard--er...monk? Whatever...his suspicions were confirmed when Zephiro's fit of mirth ended upon him taking damage.
He shakes his head, putting those thoughts away for later. Now...what should he do? He can only cast a couple potent spells, and...well he'd much rather not risk doing that... but does he have a choice? For now he'll stick to the simple spells, the one's father drilled into his head until he could cast them at least semi-well multiple times. Ugh, this wasn't going to go well but what else can he do?
"Useless Useless Useless," he thinks to himself. "What a disaster. I knew we should have tried to find a teacher..."He could still go...but what good would it do? He hardly covered any ground with his huffing and puffing, so what good would it do to try again? Perhaps someone would sense the magic in here or...maybe if a fire started or if they were loud enough someone would see or hear them and come looking...
Gritting his teeth, he fixes his gaze on the gremlin in front of Arthur...maybe if they can get that one out of the way the paladin could get in to help Zephiro?
He focuses on that target (red 1) and lets out a long breath. His eyes light up green and the air around the gremlin grows frigid.
"Please don't hit one of my teammates..." he thinks, doing his best to focus. He lets out another breath--and frost begins to form on the gremlin.
Frostbite: DC: 12 Constitution save or take: 1 cold damage and have disadvantage on its next weapon attack.
(OOC: taking my turn now since I likely won't answer again until tomorrow afternoon/evening.)
Zahira didn't know how to react. She had felt so relieved seeing Kuro returning ... and with Arthur for that matter! But she had seen Zim fall just a few seconds before, and the sight of this teammate she had met but minutes ago covered in blood had shocked her.
She looked at Kuro and Arthur wide eyed and opened and closed her mouth just incapable of finding words until she managed to say " ... no... no... Zeph's not laughing of his own accord. Those creatures casted something on him..." She shakes her head not sure what else to say.
When Arthur heals Zim and keeps him out of harms way she seems to get a hold of herself, and clutching her thieves tools in her hand and placing that hand in her chest so as to control her racing heart a little more, she adds:
- Ok ... ok ... this is better. We are going to be ok, right?
She looks directly at the yellow gremlin in front of her and the soft breeze that normally moves her hair gently now behaves with fury, looking like a gathering storm. In fact, her long white hair that had been tied in a messy pony tail up to that moment has freed itself and is now moving at the rhythm of Zahira's personal storm. It was as if it reflected the girl's change in tactics and emotions.
She then points at the yellow gremlin and says:
- Let's finish this - and the genasi girl begins casting an attack spell this time.

With the fire crackling around the young genasi she had managed to twirl the arcana even in the heat of battle. With an enemy right in her face no less! The young artificer had blasted the firebolt forth! Taking down the yellow gremlin as flame pounded into flesh (KO or KILL up to you)
Arthur had looked to her side as she had asked if they were going to be okay. He had offered her a gentle smile with a nod.
"Yes! Everything's gonna work out just fine! You seem rather talented, I will take to the front when I see the chance to. Zahira, we'll get through this. As for them playing a dirty trick on Zeph? Well we'll have to teach them a lesson or two!"
Two of the yellow gremlins had begun to move forward and strike out! (Techincally Zeph hasn't had a turn yet since prone yes? To use half movement to stand back up from the laugher? So that would give the attack against him advantage.)

With the fire crackling around the young genasi she had managed to twirl the arcana even in the heat of battle. With an enemy right in her face no less! The young artificer had blasted the firebolt forth! Taking down the yellow gremlin as flame pounded into flesh (KO or KILL up to you)
Arthur had looked to her side as she had asked if they were going to be okay. He had offered her a gentle smile with a nod.
"Yes! Everything's gonna work out just fine! You seem rather talented, I will take to the front when I see the chance to. Zahira, we'll get through this. As for them playing a dirty trick on Zeph? Well we'll have to teach them a lesson or two!"
Two of the yellow gremlins had begun to move forward and strike out! (Techincally Zeph hasn't had a turn yet since prone yes? To use half movement to stand back up from the laugher? So that would give the attack against him advantage.)
