Dabbert's halberd batters against his insane opponent, rattling him within his makeshift armor, bruises forming against the unforgiving wood.
Lorlin follows up with a whack from his staff. His eyes eventually stop rattling in his head and then...BOOM!!! Thunder cracks through the monk in a sonic boom that shatters the tower's windows. He slumps forward, his oversized pieces of armor the only thing keeping him upright as sonic energy envelops him in a hair-trigger trap. Heaving rattling breathes, the monk remains stationary.
Turning his bloodshot eyes to Lorlin, he growls a guttural curse in celestial and begins walking forward. The thunder energy takes effect, sound and electricity racing across his body as he screams in resistance, trudging forward through the magic as if in a windstorm.
Akkron, being absolutely done, grapples him with Bigby's hand. The monk smashes and swats with his icon but a few whacks from Slip put him in his place. (He passes the con save). The glowing purple hand finally closes around the wooden armor and hoists its wearer skyward, the monk dangling undignified from his own ropes as blood and splinters scatter on the floor below. He chants something in celestial that could be a confession. (If you have any magic/rolls that would help understand a languages you don't have, you could get a translation).
All together, monk is grappled, down 87hp, and looking bad.
Seeing what Akkron is trying to do, Dabbert stows his halberd and uses the advantage of the monk fighting with the spell to throw his own grappling abilities into the mix...
(Sorry, the CON check would the next round for Quivering Palm). Since he succeeded, he will take half of this necrotic damage:
44
Actually... he wouldn't take half of that necrotic damage... Quivering Palm reduces the target to 0 on a success, or deals 10d10 Necrotic damage on a failure. Not half damage.
Also, Bigby's Hand Athletics to continue the grapple: 21

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
The monk wiggles to escape unsuccessfully. With Slip's Hellish Rebuke flames engulf his body, burning away at the ropes that bound him to his floating armor. Hitting the floor in a shower of soot and splinters, the monk lunges toward Akkron.
*Snap.*
Slip's quivering palm takes its effect. You hear the snap of sinew and bone over the monk's howl of pain. Hands shoot to his ears to contain the blood that streams from every hole in his head. Akkron's hand regains its composure and holds his legs down while Dabbert tackles the monk, putting him in a full nelson. For once, he becomes halfway-docile - the only thing frantic being his speech, which is still in Celestial.
You got him nearly dead (literally 9% health) and in in the universal interrogation position!
Akkron takes a step back in surprise as blood shoots out of the monk's facial orifices... that was not something he had expected or wanted to happen! For all any of them know, this man could be an innocent victim of whatever happened here who was simply defending himself when four strangers burst in on him... admittedly, he doesn't find the idea especially likely, given that the monk is speaking Celestial the same as every monster that has attacked them so far, but it is a possibility. He had been hoping that the party could subdue him without hurting him too much...
"That... wasn't exactly what I had in mind when I suggested 'taking him alive'..." Akkron says, sounding a lot more uncomfortable than you would expect from a lich. "Well, I think we've taken most of the fight out of him by now... does anyone here happen to speak Celestial? If not, I guess we can tie him up, treat his wounds, and then hopefully Lorlin or I can find a spell that will let us communicate with him..."
Dabbert wipes his forearm across his forehead and looks up at the rest of the group while listening to the Lich, then back down at the monk.
"I uh...I mean...what did you think was going to happen?" He says in their defense. "I'm not taking chances. This whole place is off. He was going to start doing cartwheels and breathing fire as soon as I entered the room for all I knew."
He adjusts his grip, making sure that between him and the spell the monk isn't going anywhere. His eyes settle on Slip.
"I'm not referring to beating him up to force him to surrender,"Akkron says, glancing at Slip. "I'm referring to trying to make his head explode... well, it's not important right now. We beat him and we can still interrogate him. Let's get him to a good spot so I can put him in a Forcecage to make certain he won't cause any more trouble while we figure out what to do next."

Akkron would prefer to take him back to the base if it's not too much of a hike. But if not, we can just stick him in an out-of-the-way corner while we finish searching the building.
Never mind, Akkron will direct Dabbert to help him move the monk to a corner of the room that doesn't look like it has anything important in it. Once Dabbert clears the area, Akkron will cast Forcecage to trap the monk in place.
"Lorlin, do you happen to speak Celestial?"Akkron asks. "Or, if not, do you think you could summon an entity that can and who would be able to interrogate this guy for us?"

Dab nods and keeps the monk subdued, keeping his arms crammed to his sides with a tight bearhug as he drags the monk to the corner and puts him in place. He waits, keeping eye contact with Akkron until he's certain the Lich is ready, then steps back as the Forcecage is unleashed.
Once this is done, Dabbert keeps an eye on things while searching the room and clearing it, as well as searching the bodies of the other monks...
Not sure what rolls you want here, DM, so let me know...
You and Dab wrestle the knucklehead into a corner and imprison him in Forcecage. He bangs around in there like a DVD screensaver until you mention speaking celestial. He nods and backs into the corner.
(I think it's Slip's turn at this point, pretty sure everyone else on our team has gone already)

both Investigation and perception I think. It’s not gonna be a hard check. 10 for the tower and 17 for another thing.
