Oren is about to move to help the woman's plea for help with tying the odd people up, but then he sees no one is really moving to assist. He looks over at Gilgamesh, who is the man in charge to see what he is doing. "Should I help with that?" he whispers to the captain.
"Right, right. Well, the tabaxi said he still had people to save, so he'd grab another ship if need be. I just don't think it's safe to be this close, you know? Ship might go under any second!"
"...Should you be calling him cat, anyway? Don't some of them consider that an insult?"
Khond shakes his head some, "I trust the crew know how to keep this vessel safe... And it should be fine, he was referring to me as a horse person, so I doubt he'll take offence to the same language."

Slick peeks into the bag, finding... Wood. Well, wood shavings mostly, colored vaguely blue.
(Give me a medicine check)
The satchel meanwhile seems to contain mostly personal effects. A few (worthless) trinkets that likely hold personal value, a comb, some soap, reserve clothes that fit someone smaller than the tiefling he knows, a shawm, some chalk... Ah, and a little satchel with 9 silver and 4 copper in it.
---
The captain grimaces slightly, noting that Tuck is still inspecting for potential survivors behind them, the tabaxi has disappeared, and Breldo is mostly watching from a safe distance... Leaving only Oren to offer to try and help.
"Perhaps, yes. You're not wearing heavy plate, so lots quieter. If you need more help, I'll join in, I'm just worried..."
"We can't stall longer in each case, we don't know how long we have. We're doing this now or deal with it the hard way,"
(How will you handle this? Feel free to start with at least giving a stealth check.)
---
"Right, right," the Tiefling admits. "I suppose the sailors know best. I'll have a talk with them," he speaks, immediately moving past Khond and to address one of the two people managing the sailing vessel.
(Gilgamesh is offering at least one rope which could probably tie up several people given it's length, if you're creative. How do you seek to tie them up? Arms? Legs? Hoist them up and go full body?)
Nuria whispers a plan to the dwarf, "I-I think we should tie their arms behind them, then tie them in a line each the same way. If need be, we can attack them one at a time. K-Kick the weapon out of their hands, then grab their arms." She glances at the mad men, "Do you think that w-will work?"
Gilgamesh at least seems to nod, figuring that is an idea as good as any. "Take them one at a time, and even if they end up just disarmed, that'll help if they turn violent."
(Both of you, give me three stealth rolls and three sleight of hands rolls.)
Slick has no idea for sure what the contents of the bag is, though he'd guess it must be this "Gurna root" he caught in conversation earlier. Not that he'd know if it's the real deal or not, besides that it's certainly not a wood species he knows. More importantly, he has no clue how much it might be worth.
Enough to stow it away, though. As well as one of the trinkets which is a very simple plush puppet, but probably "fluffy" enough to his tastes.
And all that done, he checks his bags, for the potential to hide it away. His own pack is already stuffed, being honest. There is some space left so he can definitely try and hide some, and together with the satchel it might be enough... It might also not be. It'd be rather hard to make it not look a bit weird at least, unless he thinks of other creative options besides stuffing it away.
Khond watches the tiefling go, then moves to speak quietly with another crew member, "Is it just me, or does the newest passenger seem... Rather in a rush to get out of here?"

Rick nuzzles the fuzzy find a bit then, looking around, tucks it safely into a pocket.
"You're Rick's now!"
He then gets back to business of putting sticks into bags. He'll break and manage the wood as needed to get it to fit and will fill, his pockets with the stuff as well to help.
Nuria and Oren quickly get to work, Gilgamesh ready at a safe distance to rush to aid immediately if needed, Breldo right behind him. Nuria with one end of the rope, Oren with the other, they get to work, which... Proves to be surprisingly effective, at least at first. Some of the sailors grunt angrily, like mad animals drooling on the ground, but it seems that as long as they are not disturbed from pressing their face to the ground the group could do almost anything. Nuria manages to disarm one, tying up the hands behind his back, and while Oren fails to properly bind one of them at least doesn't seem to disturb them to the point of causing them to lash out.
It's obvious by now that this entire group is a ticking time bomb, of course. Perhaps it's the stress that makes Nuria fumble at first, angry, guttural noises slowly rising in intensity, but she does manage to wrap another one's hands behind his back. As does Oren... But those bonds end up coming loose as it seems the group has finally had enough.
"Shut up! Shut up! I'm so close! Shut up!"
The words, this time, are accompanied with the wild flailing of a dagger, as the rest of the men also begin to rise up.
(Everyone roll initiative!)
---
"Seems like it," the other sailor admits, as the tiefling goes to talk to the 'captain' of the little sailing vessel. "Guess it must have been traumatizing."
(Give me a perception check.)

Rick gladly takes his fuzzy prize, before beginning on stowing away the far less interesting prize of wood. He breaks up a few of the larger pieces (that's probably fine) to stow them away easier, using both his backpack, the satchel, and his pockets, and... Manages. At the very least everything is stowed away out of sight. It is very obvious his satchel is laden with something, though, and his trousers are just ever so slightly more baggy.
He's just in time to hear the fight break out behind him as well.
Nuria lets out a startled squeak as the men start flailing around. Her right hand easily grabs the dagger on her right hip, while her left fumbles over her rapier before grabbing the second short blade.
The battle starts proper, although the maddened sailors need to actively spend their time trying to get off the ground, first, and ready their weapons rather than charging straight away. The one right beside Nuria however, instead finds himself fighting his bonds, failing to get up.

"Right, right," the Tiefling admits. "I suppose the sailors know best. I'll have a talk with them," he speaks, immediately moving past Khond and to address one of the two people managing the sailing vessel.
Oren nods at Gilgamesh and then quietly asks "Who has some rope I can use?" and he looks expectantly at those nearby.
After hopefully getting some rope he will head as quietly as he can over near Nuria to assist with some tying up of strange people.

Rick shakes his head sadly at finding blue wood. Must be worth something though since it was hidden.
((Any fluffy or shiny stuff in those worthless trinkets? He'll take either.))
Slick disappears the money, the chalk and the shawm and looks around the room tapping his chin thoughtfully.
