By the way, I do know one cheat... If I don't pick your character, you could technically just make another one to increase your chances, because I'm picking characters, not users.

Backstory. Bosco was born and left in the arctic, where he was raised by penguins. He thought that he was a penguin his whole life (and still does). He was naturally smarter than the other Penguins though (since he was a humanoid, of course), and was able to spend his time becoming one with the arctic nature around him. One day, however, a massive storm came rushing through his home, and swept him and his penguin family away! He ended up Lost, until he found his way to the kingdom! The storm that ended up taking him away from his home is the same one that keeps coming and going from this village! He always hid whenever it came by! He heard about the Pearl Defenders when he overheard two of the king's guards talk about it. He saw this as an opportunity to get rid of this god forsaken storm once and for all, so he went to those guards to talk to them, the rest is history.
Optional Info:
Your character's personality. (Positive thinker, friendly, ..... thinks he's a penguin)
Your main attack style. Weapons, tactics, etc. He likes to use spells and familiars whenever he can!
Backstory: Mantuses parents abandoned him soon after he was born leaving him to be raised in a temple. In his childhood years, Mantus was physically disciplined, he never let this get to him and lived life to the fullest he always felt something special in himself like he had some power. Mantus was friends with almost everyone in the town and had great social skills, at 13, he learned how to speak Elvish and Orc, and learned survival skills like how to make his own food and how to start a fire. Unfortunately, a fire destroyed the temple, to this day no one knows what happened. Mantus ran away to the woods, afraid to be taken away to an orphanage, or worse. After a few years, Mantus got used to the wild, he enjoyed killing fish and watching the stars, and found a stray rabbit and named it Hagnar. Hagnar helped channel the special feeling Mantus had in himself and decided to become a sorcerer. At age 23, he came across an abomination of a creature. With red wings, brown fur, a scaly face, and sharp claws. It went to attack, without the touch of a finger, he lifted the creature and suffocated it. One day, Hagnar led Mantus to a small village where he was invited to the king's homestead.

Seems unlikely Zwer will be chosen for this adventure, and admittedly didn't have much time over the weekend to work on my background ... but here we go abilities!

Backstory: Trask Aldor is many things, none of them could be called ‘compassionate’. As a servant of the Raven Queen, albeit a lower one, his compassion is the least of his concerns. He is given a duty to retrieve souls for her, and he does, so when he and a few other Shadar-Kai were sent to retrieve several souls from a desert kingdom with a strange underground temple, he aspired to do the job with the same fervor as always - but he didn’t anticipate being roped into the kingdom’s affairs and asked by the king to assist in stopping the threat. His initial response was a resounding “No”, but the other Shadar-Kai pushed him, giving a simple notion of “Think of the souls to be collected for our Queen. This conflict may be worth investigating, especially if undead are involved in the disappearance of the ones sent before us.” Trask sighed, and met the king’s request with something akin to fervor. “I’ll do it, no payment necessary.. just tell me who to kill.”
Trask is a Shadar-Kai from the gloomy plane of the Shadowfell, as such he is mostly devoid of emotion, preferring to save emotions for when they are needed - doing his job. The emotion he shows most is irritation with others, who let their emotions cloud their judgement when dealing with death or life. As an agent of the Raven Queen, he seeks guidance from his goddess often - the only one he shows emotion or reverence to.
Trask, like most Shadar-Kai, wears dark clothing and a mask covering his face, made of bone. The only thing showing from behind it are his haunting Onyx eyes.
Trask, though a Cleric, focuses more on offensive spells - the easiest way to collect souls - and when spell slots run out, resorts to using his mace to bash skulls. He can be useful in frontline or rearguard positions due to this.
He may be edgy but he is precious baby
