The woman looks up Daphyra. She appears to be in her mid-30s. Smiling back hesitantly, she nods her head in acknowledgment. The bandage has been wrapped tightly around the woman's hand, and she winces every time she dips her hand into the cold water. "I burned my hand while trying to move a pot of boiling water off the stove. It's been a few days, but it still hurts."
Daphyra tsks as she looks at the burn, her paws deft and gentle. "May I help? I can ease the pain a little."
If the woman agrees, Daph will cast cure wounds on the burn, healing 6 hp.
"You don't say." Oumayma lets out a sigh of frustration and shakes her head, her dark hair swaying around her face. "That girl, always getting herself into trouble,"she mutters under her breath. "I swear, she has no sense of self-preservation."
She folds her muscular arms across her chest as she says to the group. "If you do happen to see her, tell her to get her ass back here, alright? She's got work to do, and I won't have her gallivanting around with that slimy rat of a man."
Daphyra tsks as she looks at the burn, her paws deft and gentle. "May I help? I can ease the pain a little."
If the woman agrees, Daph will cast cure wounds on the burn, healing 6 hp.
The woman's eyes widen in amazement as she feels the warmth from Daphyra's hands. She gasps in relief as the pain fades away, replaced by a comforting warmth. "Oh, thank you, thank you," she exclaims, looking up at Daphyra with tears in her eyes. "I had no idea magic could heal like this."
As she takes a moment to compose herself, she notices the emblem on Daphyra's shield. "You're a priestess of Bastet,"she says with a newfound respect."I've heard of the goddess's healing powers, but I never thought I would experience it firsthand, being just a laundry woman myself. Thank you, again. That was wonderful."
Daphyra bows her head at the woman, holding her hand for a moment more. "My dear, the Goddess's help should be available to all. Her blessings upon you."
She turns and returns to her group talking with Oumayma, a spark of contentment in her eyes and spring in her step. She rejoins the circle. "The rat? Have we a path to follow?"
"Excellent. I like the sound of this apothecary. Come on, Slick, let's go!"
Daphyra has a slight air of satisfaction about her as she waves goodbye to the ladies. Her ears sit proudly tall, and she looks about her with a renewed sense of vigour.
Slick shrugs as he points to the direction of Festering Heth's apothecary. "Festering Heth's not far away from here, just ten minutes of walk probably."
With a destination in mind, you set out again. Just when you’re closing in on Festering Heth’s apothecary, the commotion in the small plaza ahead catches your attention. The sound of people shouting and waving their arms frantically fills the air. As you approach, you see a small circular plaza with a stepped entrance to a temple. A group of people has gathered around, brandishing mops and sticks, while a small cat with unusual markings prowls menacingly in the center. Its teeth are bared, and blood drips from its fangs as it snarls at the crowd.
Daphyra would recognize this is one of the temples of Bastet. Despite its small size and location, it is still an important place of worship for the followers of the cat goddess who live in the Perfume District.
Daphyra gasps and runs forward. "Leave that cat alone!" she calls.
She comes to a stop in front of the crowd and takes a breath, touching her amulet and whispering a prayer for guidance.

"Huh, did not know they even had Bastet's Temple on this dog street."Kerra crouched at some distance from the cat and made a soft murmuring sound, trying to calm the distant relative. (Animal Handling: 8)
As Daphyra steps forward, the throng of people before her begins to part slowly, making way for her to approach the center of the plaza. The cat, with its unusual markings, continues to prowl and snarl, obviously agitated. With Daphyra’s words, the hush that falls over the crowd is palpable, and the onlookers seem unsure of what to do next, some looking ashamed, some looking frightened.
In the plaza center, you notice two junior acolytes are trying to wrestle the cat. They look frightened and anxious, one of them is holding a bleeding wound on her arm. They are surprised to see someone step up to help, and relief washes over their faces as they recognize Daphyra as a priestess of Bastet.
“Please help us, priestess,” One of them pleads. “Other priestesses are gone visiting the other temple across the city. We were only supposed to take care of the temple cat, she’s usually very gentle, but it suddenly went aggressive. We don’t know what happened. We also don’t want to hurt her.”
Kerra steps forward and tries to calm the irritated cat, but it seems to have an opposite effect. The cat's fur bristles and its pupils dilate as it bares its sharp teeth stained with blood. One of the acolytes calls out, “Careful!” As the cat suddenly leaps towards Kerra, its claws unsheathed.

Kerra Initiative: 22
Kerra jumped back. She could be raised on the street herself but knew better than harm a temple cat and in front of the Temple no less. "Don't kill it!" repeated she, mostly to Felix who might have not to know the local traditions.

Daphyra initiative 21 (advantage from the Vigilant Blessing she gave herself earlier)
She calls again to the crowd, "And well you should look abashed. This is a cat beloved of Bastet, and in Her temple. This is temple business, not a spectacle for you to gossip and gloat about. On your way." persuasion15
She then replies to the acolytes "Be calm. We are here to help."
Daphyra grasps her amulet and prepares to castsleepon the cat unless Tasmara casts it successfully first.
As Daphyra speaks, the crowd begins to murmur in discontent. “We were only trying to help!” “The cat’s gone crazy!”But the gentle yet firm tone of her voice seems to calm them, and the crowd gradually quiet down. The locals move away to give you enough room to deal with the agitated cat.
The cat is in the center of the plaza and seems focused on Kerra. To the north is steps to the temple. You see some barrels by the steps (point A), a wagon to the west (point B) and a well in the center of the plaza (point C).
((Feel free to act in any order. On your turn you’re free to do anything you like. If there’s something specific you want to do, i.e. animal handling to coax the cat to move, just say what you want to do and roll the appropriate skill check.))
((Kerra: you don’t need to roll attack for grapple. It’s an athletic check. The cat has +4 to acrobatics so it succeeds.))
Kerra's hands dart out towards the cat, but the feline proves to be quicker than she anticipated. It sidesteps to the left and then the right, its body twisting and turning, easily slipping away from her grasp.
With a wave of his hand, Felix conjures a small, lifelike mouse before the temple cat. The cat's eyes widen in surprise as it fixates on the illusion, its attention captured entirely. You can see the cat's tail twitching and its muscles tensing as it prepares to pounce on the imaginary prey. It appears to be momentarily distracted by the illusory mouse.

Daphyra recognises the words of the Sleep Tasmara is casting, so she does not try to cast the same. Instead she approaches the cat, her amulet of Bastet in her hand. She calls in a low, authoritative voice to the cat, humming a song often used in worship of the great Cat Goddess, intending to calm it.
