"Fine with me. It's what we should have done in the first place!" Alan said, grouchy that he didn't get the chance to kill any goblins when he was all pumped for a fight.

"The sooner the better. The longer we spend here chatting the more chance for failure, let's go." Arynn says, striding out of the building to head towards the way the group believes the goblin camp is. His initial pace is a little hard to keep up with (40 foot base speed), but he slows down when he realises that the others are lagging behind.
You all head back towards the nearest northern gate and head out along the road. The journey to the mountains is about a half day trip. as you approach the location on the map you see a winding path heading up the mountain and disappearing around a large rock outcropping about 300 meters up the mountain.

Arynn is probably taking a lead in the area, wanting to try and get first visual on the goblins and the situation. He'll keep an eye out for traps, as sneaky creatures like goblins may have trapped the winding narrow paths to protect their encampment.

Fargrim follows a little ways behind the monk, trying to stay towards the front, but allowing Arynn to scout ahead so they know what's coming up. His chainmail jingles as he walks, and he is once again wielding shield and battleaxe, ready for battle.
Alan eagerly follows behind the dwarf but is quickly getting bored of the long trek out to the goblins. He had long-since put his hand crossbow back in its holster and was struggling in the heat of the sun, but trying to keep a positive face up.

(Yeah, but Arynn is used to casing out thug hideouts, so he's always expecting some sort of lookout or a trap setup somewhere. The outdoors is not really his terrain of choice so he's making do with what he knows)
The path you travel is wide enough to allow two to walk next to each other with an abrupt drop-off on the right side of the path and straight up cliffs to the left. After climbing up for approximately an hour you come to a place that resembles a scenic overlook. A small camp had been set up on the rocky ledge that sticks out over a rather deep drop-off of about 500 feet or possibly more. The tent's rear wall butted against the cliffs edge to the point that if one was to step out the back of the tent they would be inches from plunging to a rather nasty death. There is no smoke coming from the fire pit and no-one can be seen outside the tent as you approach. The tent flaps are closed so you cannot peer inside the 20x20 black fabric tent.

Solastor tirelessly treks to and up the mountain. Wearing his armor in the heat he still seems eager and seems to be bouncing with energy.
"Black is a poor color for a tent. I hope for friends but would not expect to find any here. Let us surround the tent in a circle before we find who is home."
"This is odd... something doesn't add up here." He makes his way to the uphill side of the camp, drawing his sword and shield. "More goblin trickery, I expect."
Fargrim walks to the front of the tent, battleaxe holstered in the loop on the side of his belt. He waits for the other party members to take their positions around the tent before opening the curtain of the tent to peer inside.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Guess I'll check ahead, be on guard." Arynn says, attempting to get closer to the tent quietly. He keeps one hand trained on his shortsword's hilt in case of combat.
You silently creep up to the tent and pull back the flap. The interior is very dark but you can see a rather large form curled up on a blanket near the back. A small table with papers on it sit to the side and a small chest sits under the table.

(Assuming "large form" means more human sized, rather than ogre or troll sized) Arynn inspects the inside of the tent from where he is before quietly closing the tent flap, hoping whomever is in there stays asleep. He quietly moves back to the others. "No children or goblins in there. There's someone sleeping in there, but it's too dark to make out. I suggest we keep moving for now. We can always investigate more once we've rescued the children."

Arynn raises his hand to signal to the others to stop, then turns back to report to them based on the above.
Hearing Arynns report, Fargrim thinks for a second, "It doesn't sound like a goblin camp. Perhaps we should see if anyone's home."

"Good idea... though if it's as close to the edge as Arynn suggests, perhaps rather than surrounding the tent, we should surround the front entrance."
Alan, slightly out of breath, nods at the others and draws his crossbow.
